"Thanks," Steven says, flushing in the face as he takes back the gem. He can't even try putting it back in with his suit still on, but that'll come soon enough. "I swear this has never happened before."

He taps the point against his belly, then defaults to holding it tightly in his arms. He can't risk anything else happening to it.

"I didn't even know it was shaped like this on the bottom." He tilts his head a little. "Kinda... pointier than I was expecting?"
