While the fae talk among themselves, Lambert does his best to memorize their faces — and when that doesn’t work too well given how samey they all look, their clothes or apparent elemental affinity. Mostly so he can keep track of them as the formalities proceed, but he tamps down the sense of being dismissed and nods at the group.

“Nice talking to you,” he says, cheerfully. Then he flashes a grin at Ignatius ... and goes to look for the Gilded Mark, sidling up to her as soon as he finds her.

Primarily, he intends to ask her about what he just heard. He thought this was a negotiation between the Summer Queen and Maiden alone — is Ignatius expected to say anything at some point? What about Gild?
