Syrlya expects poise from royalty. A reaction isn't exactly what he hopes for as much as actual agreement and action.

"Nothing," Syrlya shrugs. "After his hunters left Ignatius too wounded to move, the Mother of Invention asked if she could have him. The Huntsman said that he laid no claim to Ignatius, and she could do what she would like. Those in the carnival were the original bargain, that she could have us while he took away the Ringmaster himself."

Syrlya glances back briefly. "Some of us witnessed the entire altercation, including Ignatius' request to simply leave with his charges and return to his own Court. If you would like we can share that memory directly with you so that you may hear the Huntsman's words yourself."
