spaghettimonster: (I STILL THINK THAT BUT...)

"...Yeah, that's what I said. More or less. And she did say she just wanted to watch people, more than anything like being a people..."

Papyrus flips the dinner roll back and forth across his hand. Rolls it, even, it being an aptly named food product. Tiny bits of it break off, but the metallic coating surrounding him means the crumbs or grease won't seep into his bones. It's doing some good, even here.

It's odd that he keeps referring to her, specifically, when the carnival and the ringmaster ended up being the demise of a few ancient and powerful beings. To say nothing of smaller, more ordinary hostile creatures, like vampires...

But he talked with her, personally, in a way he hadn't talked with any of the other big scary people who captured them. And she was the most recent they ran afoul of. Maybe that's why she's so fixed in his thoughts, as he thinks about these things.

"I'm just... really tired of people dying. I don't like it at all. Most times they don't really have to! People feel pressured by time, and fear for themselves or fear for their loved ones, and... it's more convenient, than risking losing, and dying in turn. I don't want to talk about war, or going to war... I just want to find a way for people to be friendly. Even if they can't be friends."
