Steven, recently unburdened by Jasper's massive horse butt, has come up to Peridot's side at this point, looking up at the River Dragon with a pitying gaze. He's not sure he understands what's being said either, but there is an emotional ambiance he can't ignore.

"He's worried about her," he says softly, to anyone near enough to hear it.
