Thankfully, Ignatius is here for the rescue. Giving the spot where Frost died a scornful look, he approaches the Ringmaster and the others. He happens to know a fair deal about his kind of thing, given his close relationship with the Summer Queen.
"The power does not have to go to a Maiden, yet," he says. "In the absence of a Queen, the Crone and Maiden would normally combine their powers to allow the Maiden to ascend. To do it alone was previously unheard of... and apparently for good reason."
The Queen may be crying but Ignatius still has a little bit of an axe to grind.
