Normally, any suggestion of altering her perceived physical form would irritate Peridot greatly. Here in the Matrix, though, the circumstances are different.
It still takes her a moment to warm up to the idea at first; old habits die hard, after all. But she's never had the luxury of choice like this before, and once she gets a taste, it's mind blowing. She could be anything, LITERALLY anything that she wants... Which means there's only one correct choice.
THE ONE aka THROW STUFF AT PERIDOT
All it had taken for her to discover her potential was a single truck and it's inattentive driver. Peridot had been crossing the street when the vehicle blew a red light. The truck may not have stopped, but time did.
Slow motion. The truck came closer. Peridot threw her unfamiliar Canadian teenage boy arms up in front of her face, flinching and preparing for unavoidable impact. The truck drew mere inches away. Millimeters. And then suddenly, it froze.
People had been gawking at the sight of this young man standing in the middle of the street, arms braced up, head tucked down and cowering in front of a speeding 18 wheeler now frozen in its tracks, suspended for a moment as if time around it has stopped. They'd gawked even more when that teenage boy appeared to repulse that truck, sending it zooming back several hundreds of feet.
Yup. Everyone, including Peridot, had been surprised. Surely her metal powers shouldn't work in here, let alone would they be that powerful. This merited further investigation. Which is why she's here now, pestering you incessantly, eager to see if she can repeat the feat.
"C'mon come on, throw it! Throw something at me! Or try and punch me or something, I haven't got all day here!!"
...She is SO eager, that her enthusiasm is expressing itself in a pretty aggressive manner. Sorry.
