Psi scratches his head trying to think of how to explain it.
"Well, like... A moirail is someone who sees your flaws. Most of the time if someone notices your flaws they'll think you're weak. Maybe they even try to take advantage of them to kill you. A moirail see's your weakness and wants to help you instead. It's a relationship that makes you into a better stronger person."
He looks at the table as he thinks about it, and see's Ginko's hand still in his. He moves his fingers a bit, feeling the sensitive skin along the human's wrist. Every relationship was good in it's own way, but being a moirail meant something special, at least, it did to the Psionic. It meant no matter how much of a fuck up you were you'd always have someone by your side.
"I guess it's a cliche, but most people like going to their moirail for help if they get hurt. So if you got a rich moirail maybe you'll get the good bandages even if you're poor as shit. If you're rich, you might get the shit bandages from a poor moirail, but that makes it mean more I think, because they want to give you the best they got."
Wow, that was so cheesey. He can't even believe he just said that. He takes another sip from his drink, if only so he can have something in his mouth and stop talking and sounding like a moron.
