Okay everyone! An announcement for anyone performing!

We all look pretty different now, or at least, I think we do, which means we need to focus on what's really important!

Or at least sort of important, I guess you could perform with nothing on bu- BUT YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T!!!

Anyway, you need to get refitted! All of you, everyone who needs a costume for when the show starts, as soon as you can!

I'll be at the Tailor's Tent-I even got fabric ready!

[Carly isn't kidding. She's waiting, and she's waiting with a MOUNTAIN of fabric, her jellyfish self looking rather like a curious black blob in a sea of colour.

The minute a performer comes in, she swoops in breathlessly, possibly with relief.] Good, you're here..!! Over here now, this way-I can't even use the dummies any more, there's nothing I can really use to represent fins....

[It might be best to get a word in sooner rather than later-otherwise, your costume might be a little far from what you're after!]

[Needless to say, trying to get around the dome to even do this job has been a challenge. Phichit isn't wrong; most of the mer don't really do closed seams. It's more wraps and decorations...but at least one performance is considering a 'full body comedy costume', and some haven't even decided what they're doing yet.

It's a little high stress for an already stressed fish.] We only have a few days to make sure everything is ready, you know...and that's not even counting the last minute changes, o-or the sudden snap decisions on performances, or....

[She may cry.

You may have gotten an unfortunate job being the assistant here.]

[Phichit wasn't bothered; coming from the high stress world of professional sports, and having a best friend who often cried from being overwhelmed by anxiety, he was in his element. He put a hand on Carly's dome and shushed her kindly.]

Everyone is going to go out there looking great. We're going to make sure they're fancy and fine and all that good stuff, I promise.

Well, I have all the fabric-there's lots to spare, I think, since most of the performers are a little small... [Steven definitely is, last she checked...] Ah, you said someone named 'Yuuri' was performing too right? I haven't met them yet, do you know anything about what they want done?

[Phichit nodded and grinned.]

That's more like it! We have tons of material, and merpeople don't need to cover much up, so we can handle this!

Ah, actually, I'm not sure what he wants... but honestly, it's likely he doesn't either.

But I got an outfit for samples and everything! There's definitely going to be a need for some decoration on these! Like embroidery, or...

[...But first and more importantly-] W-We should really help him narrow that down then, because if he doesn't even have an act, he definitely doesn't have a costume..!!

[He laughs into his hand.] That's just who he is. It'll come together, don't worry.

[He takes both of Carly's hands in his own and squeezes them.] Deep breaths! Gills open wide!

[She blinks, successfully calming herself for entirely unrelated reasons.] ...Do I have gills like this, I sort of thought the water was just going through me or something...

Uh, I never took a marine biology class so I don't know how jellyfish breathe...

A-Actually, I don't think they offered that where I went, so I couldn't have even if I wanted...

Oh? Where did you go to school? What did you study??

Ahh...w-well...it was just a local college, really... I'm normally just a reporter...

That's okay!! I went to a local college too! [He smiles.] Or, well, not local to me, since I'm from Thailand and I went to school in Detroit, USA... but local to where I was for training!

HEHHH!! You got to go international, even..!? [She's feeling very intimidated and outclassed her!! Decent schooling was not in her pay grade!]

No no!! I mean, it was just community college. I was only there because it was where my coach was based!

[He's an internationally ranked skater, but not a genius.]

[THIS FEELS SOMEWHAT BETTER-] Coach..? What kind of sport did you do then?

[He smiled a little sheepishly.] I'm a professional skater! Figure skating, that is, which is not the same as speed skating or ice dancing!

Skating..!! Woah!

[Wowwww- ...ah.] ...I never even heard of ice dancing, I thought figure skating had dancing in it...

Oh, it does! [He's eager to explain.] Figure skating is a combination of footwork and technical skills like jumps and spins, but ice dancing is purely based on the footwork and body movements, and they aren't required to do any jumps.

Ah-! [She blinks.] But then, could an Ice Dancer also be a figure skater, if they decided to do jumps anyway..?

I mean, if they could land them, they could! But usually you'll pick one or the other, if you want to compete, because you have to have two programs competition-ready for either kind of skating. Doing four in one season is too much!

I guess if you picked the one where you don't normally see jumps though, that would give someone a bit of an edge at least...probably...

[Wait, going back to the point of this-] H-Hold on, how is anyone supposed to be doing ice skating right now?!

We're underwater!

But they have different requirements.

[He shrugs and then shakes his head.]

No one is skating now. I don't think so? We can dance, too!

Ohhh, that's true...

[She coughs.] Ah-y- you can?

...I guess that was obvious actually, if dancing and footwork are involved in skating... ....Though, being in the water is still going to change that a whole lot, huh...

[He nodded, and a flurry of bubbles surrounded his head.]

Good thing we don't have to figure it out, since we're not performers.
