It takes way too long for Greg to figure out that the problem isn't just him. He's heard about these mushi things before, but hadn't expected the problems to be so... direct.

Even after Greg's realization, however, he feels the need to wait to go to Ginko until nightfall--the shades simply aren't strong enough to protect him from the sun anymore. Of course, that doesn't mean Greg abandons the sunglasses. By the second evening even moonlight is too painful to look at without protection.

He raps at Ginko's trailer door with urgent little knocks, praying he's not waking anyone up, and praying deeper that they aren't out working. He's not sure he can take the blazing starlight long enough to track them down.

"Oh, good, you're here, I..." Greg trails off a moment as he recognizes the plants growing all over Ginko. Considering Greg's sprouted more than a few flowers of his own, it's nigh impossible for him to assume whether that's a mushi affect or just another thing that happens.

He refocuses, pushing up his sunglasses again to protect from any lights inside Ginko's trailer. "Uh, sorry, to bother you so late. But... I think I've got a problem. With those things you were talking about. The mushi?"

Greg taps at a tusk, a little embarrassed. "I... thought I was just having headaches, or migraines... it wasn't until Steven came back earlier I thought it might be something else." It must be so obvious to an expert like Ginko. Looking back, he ought to have realized something was wrong so much sooner. "It's gotten out of control. Everything looks crazy bright, it's driving me bananas."

"Yesterday morning. Or--what time is it. I guess it's the day before yesterday by now? U-uh, about, about two days, anyway." He scratches at his neck, trying to read Ginko's expression. "Is it... you know it? Can those things really do that?"

"Multiply? Multiply where? Oh geez, no, I don't want to know that." As creepy as it is imagining bugs squirming around in his eyes or wherever, the technical explanation would only make the image worse. "Eurgh. S-so, what can I do? Is it--Steven needed to stay warm, do I need to stay in the light?" Please say no, that sounds terrible right now.

For the first time, Greg feels he can breathe a little easier. "Oh man. Thank you, Ginko. You're a real hero." He hesitates just a moment before stepping in. "It's not a problem, is it? You were about to head out somewhere..." Just the knowledge that there's a treatment at all made everything feel a lot less urgent.
