[Following the recent disappearance of Ginko and Tanyuu’s mushi repellent, there will be a sudden increase in the number of mushi in the carnival this week.

[ The features of a face are starting to show up in Strange's mushi, but they're very ill-defined. There's something that looks slightly like a nose, something else that looks a little bit like eyes, and so on and so forth. ]

I wonder...why do ours look so different in the first place?

[ Species variation? Magic being real fuckin weird? Mushi being real fuckin weird? There's plenty of options that run through Strange's head as he stares at his mushi doppelganger. ]

[hippocarnival]

I dunno. [Yuya leans back away. Okay, creepy.] I was told they could be dangerous, so I've been trying to keep away from it. What about you?

[kingsroads]

I've been trying to keep near it. I've no idea what this thing is and I want to find out what it can do. [ Because that is 100% a logical thing to do and Strange is making excellent choices. ]

[hippocarnival]

Uh-- is that safe? [It's turning into a person.] Couldn't you just ask Ginko? He probably knows what it is.

[kingsroads]

I imagine the man's busy enough as is—I'm certain I can find out what this thing is by myself.

[ Safety is for losers, Yuya. ]

[hippocarnival]

Yeah, but he wouldn't want you to get hurt because of it. If he was warning everyone about them on the radio, it's probably serious.

[kingsroads]

I can take care of myself, you know. Whatever this thing is, I don't think it's actively malicious. [ it isn't actively malicious YET. ] It's had plenty of times to try and kill me, after all, and hasn't even made an attempt.

[hippocarnival]

... I guess that's true. [Yuya hasn't even been giving it the chance, but strange looks... at least physically okay after two days of exposure.]

Have you tried talking to it yet?

[kingsroads]

[ There's signs of him being tired (bags under his eyes, occasional yawning)...but really, Strange generally looks like a hot mess 80% of the time anyway so it's hard to tell which are from the mushi and which are from him being him. ]

I have. I think it can understand, but it doesn't speak back.

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya's had trouble sleeping out if paranoia of it's looming, so he isn't one to be able to judge there.] maybe it can't without a mouth. Does it respond at all, or do anything besides follow you?

[kingsroads]

There's a lot of staring? [ Strange shrugs, as he looks back over at his mushi. ] Staring and lurking, I'm afraid that's about all it does.

[hippocarnival]

So that much hasn't changed. [He's still eyeing it warily, though.] Would you let someone know if it does anything more than that? If there's two already, who knows how many more are going to start following people around.

[kingsroads]

I shall, [ Strange remarks, with a nod. ] And would you let me know if yours becomes more than what it currently is?

[hippocarnival]

Sure, I'll let you know. I'm Yuya by the way--uh, if you need to find me first, I'm in trailer fourteen.
