What: A sudden spike in the mushi population brings some trouble to the carnival.

[Following the recent disappearance of Ginko and Tanyuu’s mushi repellent, there will be a sudden increase in the number of mushi in the carnival this week.

Joker waits patiently, not with anywhere to be while the cooks are still making his lunch, and leans over curiously when Tamaki finally pushes over the paper. He has to admit: for a second, he just blinks down at it. What the...

"So," he says after a moment, "is that supposed ta be a... person?" It has a face, so, probably? But he has no idea.

Tamaki just nods, because trying to explain that it's the beloved King's Pudding mascot is difficult in this state. He taps on the picture, then taps on his own chest.

Then he taps on the shoe and taps on his foot. He's not wearing that exact shoe, but hopefully Joker gets the picture.

Oh, okay, that clears everything up. "So it's you! Alright then." He glances over the pictures again. With that knowledge, the story makes so much more sense.

"So yer shoe was makin' music, ya listened ta it.... and now yer like this?"

Tamaki gives a little bit of a huff through his nose (of course it's him, wasn't his picture perfectly clear?), but at least Joker has figured it out. He nods quickly in answer to Joker's question; he knows it's weird, but it's what happened!

He knows Ginko said something about mushi doing strange things around the Carnival, but he's not sure if that's even what this is. He hopes it's something temporary and not a permanent fae change - that would just be the worst. His career would be pretty much ruined by that.

Joker will just have to try to glean this information by Tamaki's put out and slightly upset expression.

Ah. Well, unlike Tamaki, Joker has no such problems with leaping to that conclusion. "Then you'll want ta go see Zecora, at the very least, alright? She can take a look at ya, do a check up. If nothin' else, she can probably figure out what it is. Might be one of the mushi Ginko warned everyone about."

If a lot of weird things happen, Tamaki feels like Zecora might be pretty busy, and he doesn't want to take up her time. On the other hand, if this is something she can fix, he should probably go see.

It takes him a moment, but then he nods slowly in response. It's really the only sensible next course of action. He just hopes he can get a more concrete answer for how to fix this.

Definitely the only sensible course of action. If Tamaki had refused it, Joker thinks he might have really gotten annoyed, but the agreement eases him up. He pat the boy's shoulder. "There we go. No need ta suffer for any longer than ya need ta, right?"

Speaking of, he nods to the flung fork. "Now, still hungry, or are ya thinkin' of bein' done for the day?"

Ah, yeah, the fork. Tamaki glares it at like somehow the silverware is the cause of his problems, before looking back up at Joker and giving a shrug. He's pretty much always hungry, but he wants to go find out about his voice for now.

He stands up, to confirm his decision. Luckily for Joker's stress levels, Tamaki seems willing to obey him.

“Heh.” He gives a light pat to the boy’s head, always mindful of his wooden fingers. “Maybe yer appetite will come back full and proper when yer voice is done. Alright, let’s go.” Yet it’s as they near the door that he pauses just outside where the sunlight is stretching. Ah. Right.

“...Actually.. Might be better if ya go on ahead. It’ll be a bit awkward for me, considerin’ things.” Sure, he has his umbrella around- a near constant for obvious reasons- but it’d be a bit cumbersome and he’s not so optimistic to think it wouldn’t accidentally beam Tamaki in the head or something.

Tamaki looks up as though just realizing how sunny it is outside, then moves into the rays and raises his hands as though trying to bodily shade Joker, as unnecessary as it might be. He nods his head in understanding; he doesn't want Joker to get hurt by the sun, after all.

Then he gives a little wave and shuts the door of the cookhouse. Off to the medical tent! (Though he probably finds Ginko before that.)
