[OPEN] 3 Spoopy 5 Me
Who: Tamaki and Anyone!
When: Post Day 145
Where: The Summerlands
What: Tamaki's realized he kept a... useful ability from his time as a ghost.
Warnings: Depends on what you want to talk about.
The first time he'd used it had been an accident; without even really thinking about it, Tamaki started to walk through the wall of the cookhouse like he used to as a ghost and-
Well. He crashed into it. Fell flat on his butt, actually. It took him a moment to remember that oh yeah, he's solid again. Walking through walls isn't really a thing he can do anymore.
Though he'd still been a bit curious to see if he really couldn't get through the wall anymore; being able to phase through things easily was really the only nice thing about being a ghost. He'd leaned against the wall of the cookhouse, remembering the way it felt to be completely weightless, just a person-shaped mass of soul energy that could go anywhere-
And then he fell through and landed on his face. Welp.
That little bit of slapstick dispatched, Tamaki was eager to try out his new ability on the Carnival. Which is what lead to now, where a seven-foot teenager has just walked through the wall. He glows blue for a moment before coming solid again, looking all around the space before his eyes land on the person he just most likely startled.
Trailers, tents, game stalls... the only thing he seems to be purposefully avoiding entering unlawfully is bathrooms. He could really be anywhere.
At which point he'll look at the person he just so rudely intruded upon, blinking like they're the ones who just showed up.
"Uh. Pardon the intrusion."

"Uh. Pardon the intrusion."

But it's not to be. Tamaki clamps down on his giggles, but is still grinning when he speaks.
"Did I scare you, Yuu-chan?"
no subject
"Were you hiding there this whole time?!" 'There' being... behind the couch? Tamaki is seven feet and there's no logical place he could have been hiding to begin with, but it also isn't logical that he can teleport. Or sneak in without squeaking the door.
no subject
Just to back up his assertion, he walks to the wall, putting his hand against it before looking back at Yuya.
"See?"
And then he walks through the wall and back outside the trailer.
no subject
"Let me guess--this started after Portland?" That seems to be the common result of their time there, and Tamaki was a ghost.
no subject
He looks down at himself, trying to turn intangible again, but can't. "I think it only works when I walk through something."
no subject
Nevermind that, you know, they share this trailer and it's just as much Tamaki's. Knock first!
Still, though, going intangible sounds pretty handy. And walking through walls leads to the next logical conclusion: "What if someone threw something at you? Could you make it go through you?"
no subject
Living almost your entire life with roommates, you learn the tricks. Of course, his old roommates would still be alerted to his entrance by the sound of the door opening...
The question makes him pause, though. He hadn't considered that yet.
"Throw something at me." There's only one way to find out, after all.
no subject
They have a more important topic to test anyway, so Yuya looks around before grabbing one of the cushion pillows and pulling it back in preparation to throw. "Okay, get ready!"
Tamaki has five seconds before he launches the pillow as hard as he can at him.
no subject
The pillow is thrown! It comes flying at Tamaki, and Tamaki tries to change into his "ghost form"-
-and the pillow hits his stomach with a soft pooft.
Tamaki stares at the pillow as it bounces off him and falls into the ground, frowning. Why didn't that work? He thought he felt himself turning intangible in the second the pillow hit him, but by then it had already collided.
"Weird... I can't turn until it's touching me."
no subject
Not that it's not useful on its own, but Tamaki isn't willfully invincible here. "But that wasn't a spell in Portland, right? It was just something you could do. You're not part-ghost now or something, are you?"
no subject
"No. I mean, that Portland guy was really dead. But I'm not really dead. So, I can't be part ghost."
That's how things work, right? Tamaki hopes so, anyway.
"Maybe it just... came with me?"
no subject
"I guess it doesn't how it works. I think everyone brought something out of Portland when we left."
no subject
He remembers that Yuya was psychic in that other world, so maybe he got some cool psychic powers? Hopefully he can't read Tamaki's mind; that might be a little too weird. But if he could pick things up or start fires with his mind or something, that would be pretty cool.

no subject
Although, if they just ward indiscriminately, they could end up accidentally keeping guests out. Though that leads Tamaki to a new issue.
"It won't stop us, will it?"
no subject
That seems either like it won't work or will just piss her off, so he's not even trying it.
no subject
It's more handy in some ways than walking through walls, anyway, especially since some of the Carnival members are worried about being chased by fae. Tamaki isn't as worried about them, though; demons and Matrix agents and other humans haunt his nightmares.
