[ Back here, after signing his contract, Flowey’s gone and raided the performer’s storage (which he had to burrow to find over and over again). He’s made dozens of balloon animals. Perhaps in one of his years resetting, he did it to stave off boredom. How he does it with no arms, absolutely no one can guess. “HOWDY! - ｆｌｏｗｅｙ” Is written on each and every indistinguishable bipedal animal that could resemble an annoying dog and he’s handing them out with a happy greeting! ]

“Howdy! You’re not the ugliest person on the planet, but you better hope he doesn’t die! Nice to meet you!”

“Howdy! You look like a mistake only the chaos of the universe could make, pleased to make your acquaintance!”

“Howdy! You’re kind of like Rapunzel, but instead of letting your hair down, you’re letting everyone down in your life! It’s so good to make new friends!”

“Howdy! I’m Flowey. Flowey the Flower! I’m an experiment gone wrong and I’m still less of a mistake than you! Have a nice day, happy to finally say hello!”

That's a good story. It's sad, but it doesn't have to be happy to be good.

I didn't tell you my name, did I? Funny, I usually introduce myself at the beginning of all these things! I guess I just forgot.

My name is Asriel. But... only you can call me that, okay? It'd be bad if other people found out about it early.

[It's a long hug. Not so long that it's uncomfortable however, and just as gentle as before. When she does sit back, she listens to the other introduce himself, though.

Rather, introduce himself again. She's bright enough to catch that, so...] ...Asriel? [She repeats-just to make sure she's saying it right. ...And she nods.] ...ok! ...I'll keep it secret, then.

...My name... ...is Reira, [she continues, giving him hers.] ...I guess....it wasn't always my name. But I don't know the one I would have had before it, and 'Reira' sounds like my brother's name.

...So I like it, I think.

[ It's nice. The only hugs he remembers were long and tight, and now he has a nice feeling to pair it with, too. His big secret... revealed at the beginning of the game? That's a first. To a human he doesn't know, no less. But he doesn't have to play by the rules of the game anymore, so... ]

Um! They did? [For some reason, that actually gets...excitement?] But then..that means, you can know who they were..!

....For niisama....and for his sister, Ray, [she continues, tilting her head,] ...They took 'Rei' from 'Reiou', or 'Leo'....

...When my 'mom' took me from where I lived before, she said I would be 'Reira' because of that. 'Rei' was the same as niisama's name, 'Reiji'.

[Don't worry about her being underwhelmed, Flowey-if anything she'll probably be glad to see that he's Made It, by then.] Ji means...'child', [she continues, nodding.] And...'Ra' is...

...'Scrap'.

[And 'Rei'.... ....Means 'Nothing'.]

[ It's like he suddenly just decided, as if that's a thing people can just change. ]

But it can't be too different, or it'll be weird. But you shouldn't let people call you scrap, even as a subtle thing or a name-meaning thing. I don't know your language though. Better yet, get rid of 'Ra' all together! You can be Rei. Or pick a better meaning letter in place!

Hmnnn... [She supposes she has a point.] ....I have to think about it, [she determines.] ....Names are pretty important.

...Japanese wasn't my first language, though. There was another one, but I don't know what that one was called.

[She wasn't really Aware of things at the time.]

What about Reisa? It's... the next letter in the alphabet, so...

[ Flowey doesn't know, but there's actually a good meaning behind it! ]

Ummmm... [She pauses to think about what 'Sa' even means.] ...There's lots of ways to write that one...! [she notes, blinking.]

....They're better than 'scrap', though. [All of them are.] ...It still sounds like niisama's name, too.... [And 'different from nothingness' could be an interpretation. Which is pretty Good.] ...I like it.

You should take it. No one else is using it. And even I have two names!

[ He seems cheery about this... probably thanks to proximity. Kinship is nice, he's gonna latch onto it as long as he can. ]

Mmmh... [....Well, it's making her a bit happy too, just being able to read that sliver of cheer from him. It's...nice. She nods.] ....Yeah..!
