[You ever have one of those days where suddenly you ended up awake in a carnival you'd signed up to work in for the sake of your own freedom? Well, up until today, Ash hasn't either, and the feeling is downright electric.]

[So today a catgirl wanders the carnival, not quite certain what she's supposed to be doing or who she's supposed to be talking to, but absolutely eager to drink everything in from her newfound perspective as ajn eager employee. So she's poking her nose into booths, tents, and people's affairs with the curiosity of... some sort of curious animal.]

B.

[As the day, such as it is here in dreams, wanes and Ash's excitement continues to bubble, the performer makes her way out to the edge of the grounds. Warm, tingling delight is surging through her nerves and begging to let itself out, and when she feels like this she knows she can't resist forever. As far away as she can safely get, she slings the guitar off her back and flips its strap around her shoulders properly. The lack of a pick doesn't stop her, she has claws. The lack of an amp doesn't stop her; she has magic.]

[With a fierce, joyous, feral grin, Ash picks up the loudest, fastest anthem of joy that comes to her mind at the moment; it happens to be really excessive solos that probably aren't far enough away from the carnival to avoid disturbing anyone.]

C.

[Was that your dreamcatcher with a feather dangling from the bottom of it? Because now its strings are tangled around Ash's claws as she looks around, incredibly sheepish and guilty, to check if anyone had seen that.]

[Instincts come with the tail and ears, you know.]

[Good thing Joker is flexible, able to roll with shifting moods. He gives another shrug.]

Well, just the one workin’, for now. Mostly, we got a few showfolks for fun little shows and the like, along with a nice handful of magicians, but I wouldn’t mind seein’ a few other roles filled, if we’re bein’ honest.

[Somehow managing not to snicker, Ash mad a musical little noise as she considered.] Like what?

Well… [He quirks an eyebrow at her right back.] Wrestlers, beast tamers, daredevils… It’d put me at ease if we had a couple more of any of those. We got positions filled, of course, but, ha, never hurts ta have other people around, right?

[Especially in a very fast paced job like this one.]

Let me know if ya ever meet anyone while we're travelin' who seems like they'd fit the bill.

Hey, beast taming I can do. You know, music soothing and all. [She could technically do the other two as well, but the performance loses something when your wrestler is singing.]

Ya know… That’d be great ta see, I bet. Is there any sorta limit ta that? How many, how big, whatever?

[Never hurts to ask when it concerns magic from other worlds.]

I can probably do a couple lions or maybe one elephant. I might be able to do more if I composed something original for it... but those tend to be a little more unpredictable, and that's not something you want in your beast taming act, I'm sure.

'Course I could always be the subject of the act. [She lifts a hand and curls her fingers so she's slashing at the air with her claws. But please don't take her seriously...]

Ha! I’m sure that’d definitely be an interestin’ twist on things! But I don’t got much taste for havin’ people take a beastie’s place just because they look a little bit beastie themselves.

[Reminds him a bit too much of Snake, although he wouldn’t tell anyone that. For now, however, he grins and ushers her towards where their few Wardrobe folks are.]

Well, we’ll get ya started with music first, and then see where it leads us. For now, I’ll be waitin’ out here whenever ya get done with measurements and the like.
