The spell will break form in the middle of creation as Shamshel bounces away too quickly and Syrlya tries to conserve the effort, and the chaos magic will explode outward in the concentrated area instead. Getting hit by it basically feels like getting electrocuted, if not fatally.

Syr curses under his breath but his magic won't help an iron injury so instead he pursues Shamshel directly, casting a spell of a magic duplicate of himself that lunges to stab her with its blade. Syrlya himself rushes to try and strike her with his blade, too, aggressive to try and draw her attention off Lambert.
