When: Day 89
Where: Eden
What: The Mirror is taken by the carnival, and several people from the carnival have been taken by Lilith. As Eden's Architects take sides, the battle for Eden's future is set to reach its conclusion.
Warnings: Violence.
INFINITE↴![]() When the Silver Mirror is taken, the war truly begins. Lilith had seen fit to take her time, gloating over the enemies she perceived as being no challenge to her power - only to sense the moment that the Ringmaster claimed the Silver Mirror and took the skies in challenge. The Ringmaster has taken on her half beast form, black scaled, winged, and horned, and wielding the Silver Mirror as some kind of shield. Only moments ago, she used it to blast a whole clear through the cathedral. Lilith, realizing her mistake, has swept up the darkness created by Bezaliel and begun using it as a weapon against the Ringmaster. She has six silver wings that reflect light like mirrors, as well as strange, geometric horns. Ostensibly, part of the Silver Mirror's magic has been taken into herself, which means that even though the Ringmaster has the Mirror, Lilith still has control over it. She scatters the prisms containing her prisoners across Eden while she counters her foe, drawing on their strength to aid her. Two godlike beings clash in the sky above you. On the ground, a war begins. What do you do? ► FAE VS NEPHALEM: While all of this is going on, the Ringmaster and Lilith are essentially fighting over the Silver Mirror in the sky. It is all very cyclical and unending, and just as outrageous looking as it sounds. They both currently have some degree of hold over the Mirror right now, which means the advantage is wildly vacillating between the two of them. You probably don't want to directly interfere with this, but who knows? Maybe you'd got something really cunning up your sleeve. ► EDEN'S ARCHITECTS: In the aftermath of the Silver Mirror being taken, the Architects of Eden are being forced to choose sides. At first glance, it would appear that Saraqael (wolf), Samyaza (hare), Araqiel (stag), Penemue (raven), and Armaros (spider) have chosen to fight with the Furies of Eden in an attempt to cast Lilith out for good. Bezaliel (bear), Shamshel (tiger), Azazel (crocodile), Chazaqiel (eagle), and Baraqel (stingray) have, alternatively, chosen to defend Lilith, and are attempting to convince as many Honorables to follow in their path as possible. Gadreel (dolphin) and Kakabel (axolotl) seem to be uncomfortably remaining neutral for the moment and seeing how things play out. Not all Honorables or Scholars have followed the choice of their Architect. Many have been pulled one way or the other regardless of their kind, and are generally being accepted into the fight on their claimed side. You can NPC conflicts with random Honorables, but not the Architects. To interact with those guys, you need to do an investigation. ► PRISM BREAK: All of the carnival members that attended Samyaza's garden party (except Herbert) have been captured by Lilith after falling prey to a trap set by Bezaliel. Each of them has been trapped inside mirrored prisms that are now scattered around hard to access areas of Eden, defended by both Honorables supporting their maker and by mirror eyed dopplegangers. The infinite reflections of the characters inside the prisms are being fed on by Lilith, and she is tearing out as many of those reflections as necessary to do her bidding in the meantime. Each reflection is functionally a magical clone with no true will of its own, but will be able to fully mimic the emotions and powers of the characters they're taken from. They serve Lilith above all. Each reflection spawned from a prism take a fraction of their host's spiritual energy with them, meaning the more clones that are spawned, the weaker the real version will become. The more powerful a character is, the more energy each reflection takes to make - so if you have a character with lots of powers, they will probably have something like 1-4 dopplegangers spawned, while characters with few or no powers will be going completely quantity over quality and spawn potentially dozens of mirror clones. Clones shatter and vanish when destroyed, though the prisms will keep spawning new ones until the captive is set free. Captives, it's your job to NPC these clones. Captives will have no idea what's going on outside of their prism besides the abstract idea that these reflections are being harvested from them, and that's bad. The mirror clones will be attempting to protect the source prisms from disruption, as well as generally trying to destroy all enemies. NOTE: all captives will have returned to their natural forms by now (IE are no longer animals) and their clones will reflect this. Those missing "darkness shards" from their chest will also have had those returned. ► EDEN'S FURY: The Furies of Eden are striking back against Lilith at last, and it turns out a lot more of them have lingering rebellious ideas than previously though. Those that take up the cause of the Furies will be fighting on the carnival's side, so you are free to NPC some allied Honorables as well. You can also use the Investigations section to interact with named rebels, if you want, or to get an idea of what they are generally doing. Another potential avenue of investigation is trying to get the Serpent out here, as she'd be undoubtedly a powerful ally if cured of her curse. You might need it. Now that they know of the fae, the Honorables and Lilith-supporting Architects have no qualms using iron again you! They will be utilizing iron in all possible weaponry. ► NEW, CONFUSED, OR BOTH: Did you just get here? Did you fall behind and now you're terribly lost? Don't sweat it - let your character be as confused as you are. Take the opportunity to make top levels asking other characters what's going on in-game, or check out the original setting info post to catch up. The short version is this: the carnival wanted to steal a powerful artifact called the Silver Mirror from Lilith, which was stashed in her realm called Eden. They did just that, and now Lilith is back and she's pissed! |
⇨ INVESTIGATION THREADS
DON'T BE VAGUE. If you are having your character investigate something, you must explain what your character is specifically doing to find out information. Don't just say "I investigate the Twelve." You have to be more specific, by saying what your character is doing, such as "My character is going to ask the Honorables that brought everyone in who the Twelve are." The more specific you are, the better info you will get in return.
You can also confront NPCs by this method, and you'll get summary posts in return explaining how the situation will unfold based on your actions. Investigation is important for this plot! Various boons and advantages will be given out for characters who make a difference.
Please restrict all investigation actions to one or two actions at a time. Please don't give me a laundry list of the five different things your character is doing, because it makes everything too time-consuming to get through. Stick to one main thing your character is looking into per tag.

REFLECTION STEVENS | OTA
Also, there is more than one of them, which is a dead give away.
They're the clones from Lilith's spell, the one that drains Steven's life force as he remains trapped in his mirror prism, stashed somewhere in Eden. These Stevens, however, are wandering. They're actively looking for threats to put down, even if they are most visibly mimicking Steven's looks of earnest fear and nervousness as they go. They don't have to feel any of the actual emotions, after all.
On the bright side, Steven had managed to dress himself by growing a weave of moss, leaves, and vines around his body for protection, all before this started. This means, at least he isn't naked. On the downside, did you know Steven has a ton of ridiculous superpowers he very rarely uses? As it turns out, his reflections have no such hesitation.
His hands and fingers have grown long and jagged - crystalline like they were when he was mutated by the Rose. The crystals in him glow faintly blue. It's a bit ominous.
[Open to threads engaging these guys in multiple locations, since they can be in multiple places at once. Steven getting freed is probably spoken for, but I'm up for team efforts as well.]

Thankfully, lashing out seems to be what Lapis does best, and considering it's Steven who happens to be trapped, Lapis is more amenable to helping to save him. Lapis has zero problems with Polar Bear slapping any Honourable or Mirror Steven in her way as she barrels towards Steven, leading a charge with a group of waterclone Steven's.

CLOSED | ZANGETSU, YUUYA
In a sense it still does- not in the same cold, dark manner it did before, but it is still just as bad. The iron of his shackles only fails to sear his body because there is fabric in the way but as it is.
Gongenzaka curls within his prison, his soul reaching out for whoever might hear him- while parts of himself loom in wait around where his prison lies. Secluded within a near maze of architecture, his copies have organized themselves well. Despite lacking their own will, they have enough blind devotion and knowledge of their 'original' that they've created a sort of strategy.
One sits by the Prism itself- eyes of glass closed over as it glows a chilling blue that seems 'empty'. This one seeks out for any intruders coming near, ready to notify its others. Two more pace nearby- hidden only by buildings. Two more still are far at the tops of these structures, hidden and walking impossibly along the sides.
And the last three are completely divided- lying in wait on their circular patrols as they seek out incoming fellows with their magic. They are ready to fight...
But perhaps something with knowledge of their skill can sneak by.
None of them have the iron shackles- but they do wear the same sacrificial robes they'd been dressed in at the start. It's a shame.
The shackles at least could have prevented their attack.
no subject
Thankfully, other Furies cover him pretty well, and he's avoided the fighting. It's the glint of Gongenzaka's prism that catches his eye as he squeezes through an alley.
He stops before he gets too close, making out what least to be multiple Gongenzakas in the distance. He has to be there, but... those probably aren't a good thing.
"Gongenzaka..."

MIRROR AMETHYSTS | OTA
That's literally prowling, because having spent all this time transfigured into a lynx by fae magic, her natural form has taken on a new leg configuration, which means that these duplicates are stalking around on all fours. They also have mirrors for eyes, and they're grinning like Amethyst would, but given the situation, it doesn't seem quite right. The more pressing concern, of course, is that they'll attack any Carnival member they see...
no subject
She's been running through the streets to conduct her search as opposed togetting a bat's-eye view of the area, since the airspace overhead is a bit hazardous at the moment. This puts her immediately face to face with the mirror constructs as she sprints down Eden's streets, their appearance making her screech to a halt. She's run into a few duplicates already, so the arrangement isn't exactly a shock to her, but still, thanks, she hates it.
"What?! Hey! BRING IT, you POSERS!" Peridot snaps, gnashing her teeth and getting into a battle ready stance.

RIN CLONES | OTA
Unlike some of the others, there are only three doppelgangers hanging about, glaring with their mirrored eyes and emoting at one another with their newly acquired secretary bird crest feathers.
The bad news is that, unlike the real Rin, these clones can see just fine. Worse news is that they're all packing Rin's fire powers, regenerative abilities, and super strength. But... at least they don't have swords? So hey, there's at least one bit of good news!
One of the clones has climbed onto the rooftops of the buildings making the alleyway and patrols from high ground. Another patrols around on the ground. The last remains near the prism at all times, maintaining a literal firewall around it.

Instead, he will listen to what his passionate heart tells him to do. Which is to forge his own path, led by his own passion. As long as the divine Lilith still rules over their way of life, they will never taste true freedom to be who their enlightened minds drove them to become.
Nuri does not approach too closely, looking unsure. Hopefully none of those identical... People things can notice him behind the plentiful and thick shrubbery nearby. On his back, the Scholar wear saddlebags packed with large jugs of water.

ONE HUNDRED MOMS | OTA
She looks rather serene, and if she spots you, she'll give you a warm smile. Only, her eyes are still cold and glassy. And she's not the only one there.
Several identical copies of Hinawa are meandering around, and they'll each greet you with the same tranquil smile before approaching, arms out as if to try and catch you in an embrace. This isn't creepy at all!
no subject
...A much more sincere smile than this one.
"Hey, uh, personal space, okay?" Beau glances around the approaching group, raising her hands in a no-touchie gesture. "I don't know what you're after, but I'm pretty sure I'm not interested."

IT'S A SNAAAAAAAAAAKE | OTA
Six more reflections patrol around the area, iron knives floating around each of them in a lazy sort of halo as they keep a look out for any would-be rescuers. It's likely to be more of a fight than one might expect--weaponry aside, a twenty-five foot long snake tail is not something to be taken lightly, especially considering the clones themselves don't have any lack of skill in combat. And what's more, the outfit each is clad in might be ominously familiar to anyone that was in Wismuth.
no subject
But she had maneuverability, and speed. She used them with ease, and broke his prism even easier after gathering a stone within a sling and slamming it down with all the force she could.
Now, she floats above in her hummingbird state- having taken an injury of iron, and therefore finding herself forced to use the form of a bird to avoid detection. Her feathers are in their own tricks of the light- her speed at darting among plants helping.
But after a bit of recon there's only one thing to do. She sets a small, ever-burning flame upon one of the bushes and darts away to hide at a distant one, waiting to see how the clones react.

REIRA AKABA | OTA MIRROR CLASH
Reira doesn't have a lot of powers. She can sense the motion of the wind. She can create a shield for protection. And aside from that, she can summon her own Daemon to her side.
But that's it. The child is frail- what changes she sustained from being a bat don't much help either. Her arms are no stronger than before, as much as they're larger. Her teeth can certainly bite with enough ferocity yes-
But it's far cry from the sort of bite that would rip off fingers or similar.
So Reira's soul breaks in multitudes. Dozens. At least four remain with the Prism- ready with their shields as they lurk far off near the outskirts of Eden as a canal flows near. It is ironic, perhaps...but a sculpture she'd worked on prior the party stands here. Formed of a multitude of coloured glass, casting the shadow of what could be a hare.
The four are not alone. A few others are in the canal, floating with their eyes just above the water. Others still lurk above in the trees, or wander the woods- they carry sharp sticks, or even glass and stones, ready to throw, to stab, to do anything they can to fight.
Most of the clones however, area farther from the prism. Actively seeking out others in partly hidden groups. They don't have a will- but they understand how Reira thinks.
And in all situations while one clone wanders streets and paths as if to nervously seek out others, there are always at least 4 to 6 more lurking behind...actively taking cover behind whatever is there until the 'bait' attracts someone's attention.
Reira's vampire bat teeth shine in the light above, much like the strange shimmery white sundress she seems to be wearing. Her arms, almost like wings, hang from the Bait-Clone's side. "...Hello...?"
[FOR PAPYRUS]
Bait is all good...
But while many clones fall, a number are created to gather as someone seems to come a bit too close to their area for comfort. Many take to the trees. Others hide in the water, the gills allowing them to do just that as their daemons are banished. The rest?
They sit upon bears crafted from their already fragmented soul, bearing large sticks and stones in their hands.
At the first sign of movement they charge.
upcoming CW: injury, risk of child death
It doesn't take much to notice the crowds of strange, mirror-eyed duplicates who can smile and talk, but ultimately attack their friends. By the time Papyrus finds the crowd of Reiras, he's wise onto them - the ones he sees, anyway.
More importantly, the prisms that many of them group around? They're like big mirrors, with people trapped inside them. Just like Strange mentioned happened at the party. And unlike the flat surface mirrors that Strange has been showing up and sharing info from, these look more like... crystal eggs, big pointed boxes resting on a corner, big enough to be holding the people inside.
It's with that assumption that Papyrus decides he'll rush in and break the prism. Free her, and get away. Though getting there might take some work...
For now, he flings up twin walls of bones, forming an expanding wedge ahead of him as he tries to move between the charging bears. "Don't worry in there! I'm going to break you out."

SHIMA REFLECTIONS | OTA
As soon as that happens though, three or four unseen Reflections will attempt an ambush, mirrored staves whooshing through the air, aiming for a crippling blow. Those who know exactly who is responsible may be able to recover enough of their senses in time to fend this off, but for anyone merely stumbling in, it might be up to luck.
Or feel free to approach in a different way; some of the companions to the unconscious Honorables might be able to tell you something spooky is going on if you catch them before they run off or you get too close.
I feel like have to counter crotch icon with butt
She doesn't expect her vision to fade suddenly, and she growls. Whipping her head around her doesn't really help without being able to see, but at least she can still hear. There are at least three of them, coming at her. This would be a lot easier if she just had Fang. But she doesn't, life sucks as a lion, and she might be in the mood to vent out just a little of her frustration.
So have fun, Shima clones. She's going to roll to the side to dodge the closest one to her, then kick out a back leg to thump one of the other ones. If she takes care of this noise, she'll be able to see again, right? Probably.
If only the clones had half the appreciation Shima'd have
Too bad they probably will not go to a world with mandatory nudity

Berserk Yugo Clones | OTA
By the time actual clarity comes back to Yugo, it’s long after he’s raged at the reflective walls around him and his own shackles with plasma breath to no effect. He’s even slammed his good shoulder against the prison and the only accomplishment he got out of that at best is a bruise. His throat feels thick and almost as charred as his wrist must be by now.
This sucks. He’s out of ideas for getting this iron off, for getting out of this stupid prison, and out of energy for making some other noise to happen in here that’s not just his own shouting, the crystal of his tail tip clacking against something, or his own heartbeat. So he remains slumped on the floor of the prism, listless as a dozen or so of his clones prowl all over... well there’s so many they can cover a good chunk of Eden.
Finding their spawn point might take some scouting for how angry they get when aspiring rescuers venture a certain spot.
The mirror clones are of course near perfect copies of the original and there’s too many of them to possibly mistake them as the original. But they also emanate a darkened aura as their mirror-like eyes sometimes reflect an ominous green in the light...
---
B - Mirror Wall (First-Come Wildcard)
Congrats, you found the prism! There’s still a lizard horde to get through. How many clones will you smash?
Mirror Force
"Hey! You mind telling me--" what happened, how did you get free? Yugo was captured, she heard, but Sans said his group's search turned up nothing. It doesn't seem like enough time's passed for people to have completed a second rescue effort. Did Yugo get out by himself?
All of those questions rush through Rita's mind at once, but she stops when she sees the dragon-boy's eyes. What's more, she can see what looks like another Yugo, not too far behind the first.
"--what the hell?" is all she manages to sputter out in the end.

Ginko Mirror Clones | OTA
Which means, unfortunately, that there’s a pretty significant number of Ginkos, each one with one bright, mirrored eye, and a new spray of white fur around the inner edge of each ear and down the back of its neck and tail. A few may wander outward, keeping an eye out for intruders - but most stay near their original’s prison, hands tucked into their pockets, slightly slouched, in an eerie imitation of Ginko’s habitual posture.
Coming too close will get perceived enemies ensnared in faintly luminescent tendrils that burst from the ground at the clones’ will - and, if attacked, they will absolutely defend themselves however they can.
no subject
What does surprise him is seeing a bunch of Ginkos everywhere. The big skeleton monster slows to a stop, his long scorpion tail swooshing apprehensively. You what.
"Uh... hi?" he rumbles, all seven eyes squinting at this. Like, what is happening, exactly...?

YUUSEI'S REFLECTIONS | OTA+CLOSED
A Signer's greatest strength is the bonds they forge with others; in the times when others are close and strong is when their true power shines forth.
...or, to put it simply, Signers usually need other Signers to be around in order for their marks to activate and do anything cool, and since Yuusei has been sorely alone in the carnival, this power hasn't really been able to shine through at all. It's a fairly useful power, too: a shield bubble that can defend against just about anything, from falling buildings to soul-stealing gods, to even (though he doesn't know it yet) history alterations.
And with all of these mirror clones, well... There are technically now Signers present.
Enjoy the automatic magic bubbles popping up in response to everything incoming as a herd of 20 shiny taurs assaults anything that comes even remotely near the prism hovering deep within the forest.
[FORTUNE FAIRY ETERNIA: CARLY, THE RESCUER]
Even with time, the numbers have thinned very little, sustaining minimal damage thanks to the scarlet shields surrounding their masses. Even when one falls, it ends up protected by its brethren. And their resolve seems to only strengthen with the presence of the Void-touched former Dark Signer.
What will you do?
It time
All with eerie, glass eyes. Carly shudders but turns back, hoisting out a decorative bow she pilfered from an armory based honorable. It isn't the bow she's used to but...
From a few secluded areas, test arrows are shot. But what is interesting are the flames involved. Some are of Dark Signer fire, the demons fire which saps energy through its fae bent power. Some are of Hell Flame, the ever burning sparks that are near impossible to extinguish.
Yet some are...Healing fire.
What arrows hit...what arrows get through...
That's what she tests first.

Tyki Mikk | OTA
If Tyki was truly honest, he would have to admit that having two beautiful women, beast or not, fighting in the air was rather nice to look at. It would be rude to say out loud, given what the Ringmaster was fighting for, and for the most part Tyki did nothing but watch. It didn't mean his guard was down, always wary about approaching Honorables and their intentions, only taking his eyes off the battle above to look towards and dispatch anyone that tried to interfere. One had to be pretty foolish to try to get in the way of a battle like that in the first place and a few drop kicks to the head or a well placed punch would give them something to think about later. That is, if any of them survived the fallout.
They had retrieved the mirror, mission complete, and with no real standing goal in sight, Tyki kept up with the battle above him like a good soldier, waiting for a lot of things to happen all at once. To those passing by he might say nothing at all but occasionally he'll speak up with a calm tone despite his words, "It doesn't look like either side is really winning..."
[Roaming]
Eventually he'll move, when things don't progress immediately, and while he'll keep an eye on the battle above, he does make his rounds. With a cigarette in his mouth, a vice he hasn't indulged in for the entire time being here, he's a lot calmer and more attuned to everything around him. The carnival gets his first priority, as always, and he'll use his speed and strength to assist where he can. From transporting people, wounded, or things that need to be delivered to and fro, he's quick regardless. It's only his self serving needs that keep him busy, wanting this to be over with as soon as possible, but he doesn't spend a great deal of effort otherwise in hurrying things along. The battlefield was chaos, a raw fight that fueled his adrenaline and bolstered his vice for a good bloodbath. Iron was everywhere, making it challenging for even him, and with precise strikes, he had to keep himself in check not to tear into someone.
Never one to throw himself in front of anyone else to defend, there are only two he do that for in carnival and even then he wouldn't recklessly endanger himself, he does keep his eyes open for the non-fighters of the carnival in any particular danger. Either way he'll approach or listen for anyone calling his name. Mostly in the air, he's easy enough to spot.
Wildcard
As usual, I'm open to anything. Feel free to hit me up with a scenario or contact Tyki as necessary. Given Tyki is able to carry things with him at all times, he does have his text ring and a hand mirror on him, along with his Tease scattered about in case he needs to be reached. More prompts might go up later. We'll see. These prompts are mostly basic references.
hot or not
"You're right," Strange says, in a tone of voice that isn't even bothering to hide the fact that he kind of wants to throw up. "I was only in the Mirror itself for a moment or two, but their magic felt equally matched."
It also felt equally powerful, which is worrying as hell. He's been stuck in the Mirror for the past two days, he should be able to figure out some way to help...but Strange isn't entirely sure what, yet. Right now, he's focusing on catching his breath.

closed! strange, syrlya & lambert
Yeah, this is basically Strange doing what he wants again, but brownie points for making an attempt at telling people!
"Lambert," he starts, assuming the other man can hear him. "I'm going to—oh! Hello there Syrlya." He's a little bit distracted as he looks up at Syrlya before he very awkwardly looks over at Lambert. "I'm going to do something that might be rash, so I thought it best to actually tell someone."

BEAUREGARD | OTA
The days underground blurred together, alternating between sleeping, scheming new ideas for freedom, and relaxing and shooting the breeze with her fellow captives. Then suddenly there were new animals moving through the area and some fighting, and in the confusion Beau grabbed one of the animals and demanded they make her a way out. The hummingbird wailed and got away from her before Beau remembered what the scruffy reflection guy mentioned - some of his carnival friends were disguised as animals. Whoops. Still, there were now ways out to the tunnels, and Beau slunk along them for a bit before finding a way to the surface.
Now she emerges, blinking and shielding her eyes, to find even more chaos. Flashes of light keep going off in the sky, with two figures wheeling around and presumably fighting up there? There's plenty more animals, gathering weapons and some of them fighting each other. And there's some people who aren't exactly animals, but it sure looks like someone took humans and animals and plants and rocks and smashed them all together, blasting them with healing magic until something living emerged from it.
Beau's eyes dart this way and that as she takes it all in, and asks the world, "Who the hell am I supposed to be fighting here?"
And Ready To Punch
Eventually, Beau has a clue, and she's out helping knock out Lilith's supporters. She's scrounged an acceptable staff from somewhere, and being out in the sunlight's really revitalizing her - she's feeling her ki for the first time in days.
Best yet, these iron weapons are just metal to her - they hurt, yeah, but there's nothing fae in her for them to do more than that. So when she finds someone obviously from the carnival, looking injured and outnumbered, she can hop in the fray and provide some cover without too much risk to herself.
Wildcard
[Got other ideas for meeting up? Hit me up, I'm probably down for it.]
Punch Time
Of course, he has no way of knowing that the iron of his launched pellet blasts won't properly affect her. They're launched at a light weight, lighter than anything, with the idea that the iron will totally burn and ruin this nasty heretic!
Sadly, that only works with Fae,

Though he's escaped, his wild flight through the trees and farther from Bezaliel, there's only so much blood a crow can lose before it crashes out, which is what's happened by this point. While he's collapsed somewhere just out of the fighting, for now, chances are it won't stay that way. When someone finally does stumble upon him, they'll find a familiar pale, crow-feathered man sprawled out across the grass, wheezing for air. There's no telltale smear of red blood, though there is something wet and black bleeding out through the claw marks tearing across his chest and face. It stays as blood should where shaded, but wherever the light hits the injuries? Tendrils of black mist evaporate away into the air, and while not as unfortunate as the entire bleeding to death thing, with the Ringmaster's spell shredded by iron, well, he isn't exactly dressed, either...
no subject
That plan, though, takes a hard derail when the scent of blood catches his nose. In itself, that isn't unusual, but it's laced with the scent of familiar magic, too, and his gaze swings sharply over to the underbrush.
It smells like a lot of blood.
"Stop," he commands Syrlya, a sudden urgency to his voice. "There's--" He doesn't finish what he's about to say -- he just leaps off Syrlya's shoulder and bolts, cat-quick, where the sound of faintly-labored breath comes from.
"John!" Syrlya should have no trouble following the sound of the witcher's voice, stealth be damned, and he'll find the witcher-turned-cat nudging at the magician with his head, hissing and spitting.
"Help me get him in the shade!" he snarls over his shoulder. "His wounds need to be bound -- John. Can you move?" A soft cat paw smacks at Childermass's face, calling for his attention.

Eruka Frog | OTA
Occasionally, one of them will form a tadpole-shaped construct in its hand and toss it in the air, giggling as it explodes loudly and twirling in place.
"I'm so glad I was born a witch!" One sing-songs.
"Destroying things is the best!" Another agrees.
"I hope Lilith destroys everything," One sighs dreamily, blank gaze directed at the conflict raging above them.
They don't seem to be very aware of their surroundings ... but that could change.
no subject
Instead, though, she finds a pond taken over by slime girls. Any thought that they might be friendly goes out the window as soon as she hears them giggling about being SO HYPED for the destruction of Eden.
"Uhh... don't mind me, I just t-took a wrong turn!" She stammers and makes to scurry off in the opposite direction.

Herbert West | MEDICAL ATTENTION
Which, in this case, means the goose in charge was already on their side and Herbert has essentially just Set Up Shop there. There are healing crystals for injuries caused by the mirror clones and additionally, Herbert's done his best to put together the best field medic kit he could manage to clean and preliminarily stitch up any magic-resistant injuries caused by iron. (He'll want to have a look at those again later once they're back in the actual Med Tent and he has real hands. Because he is still a cat.) Ignatius will also presumably make his way to the Temple at some point, but Herbert wouldn't mind anyone else choosing to stop by and guard the Temple from those still faithful to Lilith.
[ooc: This is the catch all if you wanna play out your character getting medical attention, OR, alternately, send me a message if you would like to fight some Honourables while checking out the Temple and I'll NPC that!]
FOR YUUYA (And anyone else visiting Gon I guess)
But for the most part when the iron is removed, Gongenzaka is out of the woods. Bed rest, is what Doctor Herbert's orders (and quite likely the goose, who Gongenzaka himself will recognize once conscious) are. Rest and fluids, and within the hour Gongenzaka is finally able to blearily open his eyes and cough somewhat hoarsely. He still feels a little sick- but it is not the severe nausea that came from the iron, so frankly he feels far better than before.
As it is, his sacrificial robes have mercifully been removed, though he does realize that he's under some sort of blanket. Opening his eyes- now framed with a completely different fur mask, he blinks himself into wakefulness.

Rita steps into the temple, tucking her wings behind her and holding a hand over a section of burnt tunic. The silver branch she took from the mirror room is held against her lower back by some leather straps, ones she normally uses for carrying books. She looks around to see if she can spot an available healer, but before she can find one, her eyes land on someone else.
"You...!"
Her entire body tenses and she recoils slightly when she sees Ignatius sitting there, looking tired, but armed.

The wound in his gut is still healing, but it's bandaged up. Over top, he's put together a simply chiton wrap from an Honorable's sewing materials. Put the cloth around you, pin at the shoulders, done.
He's so tired at this point that he barely even has it in him to manage a strong reaction at Rita appearing. Leaning on the hilt of his sword, he instead lifts his other hand in greeting, regarding her blankly.
"Hello," he says.

STEVEN WAKES UP | FOR PERIDOT
Then, he was somewhere else.
He was floating above an abstract version of Eden again, with a great light in the sky. This time, however, the Serpent isn't a tiny snake in the grass - she is in his full size, and long enough to meet him eye to eye despite the fact that he's flying. He reaches out, wanting to touch her.
"Please, I want to help you!" he calls. "Lilith is back... the Furies are in danger..."
His palm touches the end of the Serpent's nose, cool and smooth. She doesn't understand words, he thinks, but maybe feelings? Urgency, need, fear - there's something out here, something she needs to see.
The light in the sky flickers and brightens, its source shattering into a shower of fragments, each its own light. It's almost like stars. He closes his eyes against the glare.
Then he's awake.
He sits up so fast he hurts his gut and dizzies himself, his body and heart feeling so incredibly weak. He did his best to seal his wounds with moss, but that's no proper way to close a wound. He curls his arms around himself, shuddering and spreading his wings.

Her original intention In coming over here had been to simply help escort Samyaza to receive medical assistance, and then she would take off to go locate Amethyst... but finding Steven here has delayed that goal once again. Peridot has been lurking, keeping an eye on both the hare and the boy, and the moment he wakes up, she gives a start and then hastens over to his side with the usual cry:
"Steven!"

⇨ THE END
It's only when the silhouette of another great beast looms over the horizon that things begin to change. The Serpent appears, wandering the Barrens, emerging from the earth for the first time since the search party spotted her out in the desert. Lilith's notice of her is obvious, but the Serpent seems conflicted. The instinct to survive and the instinct to fight are conflicting.
Samyaza, mortally wounded by Bezaliel and rescued from death by Rita and Peridot, rises from the place in the healing temple she'd been resting. She knew this might happen, that the Serpent might come. The child had dreamed of it.
"Yeqon!" she calls out, rising into the air, her wing-like ears extended. Her tone is of desperation and longing, and can be heard all across Eden - the power of an Architect level orator. "Please! We need you back!"
The Serpent looks towards Eden, her vast form rising as her coils unfurl. Samyaza begins to sing.
It isn't directed towards you, but you can feel the brush of its meaning. It's a plea - to the Serpent and to all the Honorables still fighting - to come together, and to fight for their freedom. That fear needn't be what holds them back, that Lilith can be cast out if they believe.
no subject
"I will wipe this place clean!" she proclaims, and it really seems like she's going to. The Ringmaster looks around in surprise and momentary fear, struggling to keep hold of the Silver Mirror. Lilith is sucking the power from the realm itself. None of the mortals here would survive, were it to truly collapse.
Yet, the Ringmaster isn't the only one in the sky. The forms of Lambert in his dragon form and Lapis Lazuli on wings of water can be seen, taking the opportune time to strike. They charge Lilith, attempting to disrupt her efforts.
Lilith extends her wings and casts Lapis aside, and invisible force throwing her towards the ground. Lambert takes the brunt of her sharp wings, shards of mirror slashing his wings to tatters. Distracted but not stopped, Lilith surges forward for one last attempt to pry the Mirror from the Ringmaster's possession.

⇨ AFTER THE END
The Architects that aided the Furies are surprisingly reluctant to take vengeance. They knew full well how difficult of a choice it was, and everyone had their own reasons for choosing their side. For so many it was out of fear, but it's impossible to know who were merely trying to protect their loved ones versus those who will continue to fight the Furies in the future.
If your character wants to check in on any NPC in particular to see what's going on, then please reply to this thread investigation style. Otherwise, it can be assumed that the animals are sorting it out amongst themselves.
no subject
When she gets that chance however, she first introduces herself as 'Phanu'- the bat from the garden- and then apologizes for jumping the shark so fast back there. She feels a bit like tempting fate brought a lot down on them.
Other than that apology, she wants to ask if there's anything she can help with, however small- and even if there isn't...
"...Umnh. ...Even though it was only a short meeting, and we didn't really know each other, I wanted to be able to say goodbye before I go. I really meant what I said in the Garden..."
She's referring to what she said about the name Samyaza assigned to her.

dragon in distress (for papyrus)
Now, as Lilith’s mirrors slice his wings to tatters and he feels the bone-deep exhaustion of his magical usage settling in, he’s paying the price. A golden dragon falls from the pitched battle and plummets towards the trees, struggling to spread his limbs to attempt to break his fall. All it does is tear at already injured skin, but he keeps on grimly, struggling to hang onto consciousness all the way. He needs to stay awake, he knows that much. Cling onto the magic already trying to unravel as long as he can — because while a dragon might manage to survive this fall, a witcher almost certainly won’t.
de-stressing the dragon
So he's stayed near the healing temple, using that as his base and reasoning. Protecting the injuried and recovering people sheltered within, by encouraging the outside fighting to find other places to be - whether they move further away or stop altogether - by getting verbally and magically involved. It's a good place to see the progress of the aerial fight, and he notices when a huge, familiar, injured form falls from the sky.
Papyrus startles at the sight, and immediately gets to the highest ground nearby while reaching out with his blue magic. It's tricky to reach for someone's soul from such a distance, especially when they're moving, but for now he has a clear line of sight to Lambert. It should be enough to ping him blue, and slow that fall to something more deliberate.
...Still lowering, though, because if Lambert's too injured to keep fighting near Lilith, he probably should get down to the ground.

heartfelt reunions (for strange)
"I'm not straining myself," the witcher argues with what appears to be ... a floating clipboard? The specific wording of Honorable's response is indistinct, but whatever it is, it's clearly uncomplimentary enough to make Lambert scowl. For good reason, too -- Lambert's upper body is swathed in bandages of varying thickness, covering his arms, chest, and belly.
no subject
So, might as well go bother the one that's causing trouble first. Strange very woozily makes his way over towards Lambert. And he makes his way over right as Lambert's fussing at some animal with a clip board.
"If he gives you trouble, just say the word and I can sedate him." Based on the tired yet thankful grin on Strange's face, this is entirely him giving Lambert shit for the sake of giving Lambert shit. But hey there, bestie! He's alive, not stuck in a fae artifact, and not currently pieces of exploded mirror shards!
