Strange can't really tell much of what's going on from inside the creature's lungs. It's ten or so seconds after the thing actually dies before he floats out of the wyvern's mouth, away from the body, and reforms, looking a little sick and a lot angry as he does so.

"If you had only scouted ahead like you said you would, I could have poisoned it without all this nonsense. Lord knows something probably heard it going on like that." But then again, Syrlya barely trusted him in the first place. Why would he do something useful like 'work as a team' or 'relay information back to someone'?
