So in the time since Beau offered a vow, things have gotten pretty bad. It was already bad enough that big new guy went down, injured, so quickly after he offered them protection. Now it's worse, as the one they're supposed to work for - the one who took down Lilith and pulled them out of the animal place - is nothing but a pile of ashes and rocks.

"We're so fucked," Beau realizes, staring out from the top of the crystal-covered building. "Does anybody have... any ideas, here? Is there anywhere we can run?"
