[OPEN] The Final Countdown
Who: Yuya and you
When: Day 132 - 133
Where: Summerlands
What: Learning new Creation magic before they roll out to the Wildlands.
Warnings: N/A
[132]
With the Summer Court's support established, the reality that they're going to raid the Wyldlands and battle the Huntsman for the Ringmaster is that much more real. Yuya's scared, certainly. Scared of seeing the poisonous fae again, of failing the raid like they did in Portland, even of dying--but he also knows this is what has to be done. That they have to be the ones to save her. So over that is determination.
They don't have long before they go, and Yuya decides there's something he wants to try. This aspect of Creation in him was something Gongenzaka could sense, too. Maybe that's something he can use.
He's not good at meditating, but for this he'll try. So interminettly he sits in one of the courtyards in the city, back against a fountain as he closes his eyes and focuses. The difficult part at first is to actually focus on that sense of Creation, and not a torrid of thoughts in his mind.
He finds enough peace eventually as it wanes into evening. And while he's sitting, focusing, the hundreds of spots on his face and arms start to glow brighter--his hands, too, wash out with a white glow.
[133]
After figuring out how to tap into that energy, Yuya realizes he can't keep the isolated practice. So he tries to catch members of the carnival when they seem to have a break, or are preparing themselves, to ask for some assistance.
"Hey, can you help me test something? I think I've got something to help, before we go to the Wyldlands."

Whatever that means.
So Reira just looks up from where she seemed to be crouching with Kage, and blinks. "...What is it?"
no subject
"It won't hurt. It's something from Creation."
no subject
There is, a pause though. "...How does it work though?"
no subject
"Try touching my hand."
no subject
Wordlessly, she stares, moving her hand to grab his. It's sort of really pretty Yuuya, so she can't help but be rather entranced by it.
no subject
Yuya just waits quietly for the verdict, curious if and how it works.
no subject
...
"...It feels like orange candies taste..."
...Alright so a sugar rush, got it.
no subject
"What else?"
no subject
Unfortunately she isn't quite sure how else to describe it. "...What do you mean, 'what else'?" She blinks. "...It's just a nice feeling- like, when you want to run and do things, like after eating candy."
Reira that's not the same,
no subject
He draws his hand back, a little disappointed. But there's nothing to be done there. "I guess I'll keep working on it."
no subject
He's not happy about it. "Ummm...was it..supposed to do more?" she asks, unsure.
no subject
no subject
no subject
Healing would be nice, especially with what they're about to walk into.
no subject
"....If it's healing, it won't do anything on someone who doesn't hurt then."
She pauses, and seems to look around for something on the ground.
Which is probably worrying when she just said 'someone has to be hurt'.
no subject
He absently follows her gaze around. It's a lot of grass and some scattered flowers.
no subject
Aha, a pebble. Reira quietly picks it up, before pressing it tightly between her palms- just until an indent comes through the feathers and against the skin.
It's a bit like when someone sits on a textured carpet too long. Not too much of an 'injury' but...
"Ok, try now," she insists, holding out the hand after dropping her pebble.
no subject
Yuya moves to put his hand over hers, no magic coursing through. "I think I'll pick up practicing later, okay?"
no subject
no subject
This is definitely not the kind of initiative he wants her to learn how to take--all action first, and asking second.
no subject
It was well thought action, and you're one to talk Yuuya!
no subject
"I'm not asking anyone to hurt themselves for this." And he's fairly certain no one else would come to the conclusion to just do so. He sighs, pressing his hand to his face.
no subject
"So how are you going to find out if it does anything before it's too late, and someone is hurt then?"
Theoretically someone else wouldn't describe it as a sugar rush...but then again to be fair, would anyone else reasonably be able to identify that kind of boost as absolutely being an energy boost?
no subject
"I can get Rita's help. Or Lambert's, or one of the fae. And if it can't heal, it's not going to do something when someone's hurt anyway."
He feels like he deserves at least a little faith by this point to be able to actually figure this out in a smart and timely manner, but he's also not surprised not to hear it.
no subject
They're probably both at fault somehow here, honestly.
132
He can't help but aim to fix that when he spots Yuuya sitting by the fountain.
Yuusei's steps are as quiet as a taur can manage to make them as he approaches and settles down some feet away from Yuuya. He wishes not to disturb him in whatever it is he's doing, but he'd at least like to offer some company. Even if he's turned away, a 'hello' to someone new might be good on his own spirits.
So for now, he's silent.
no subject
And then he sees Yuusei. He blinks rapidly. "Um. Hi?"
When did he get there? Yuya didn't notice.
no subject
"...I was also a little interested in what you were doing," he admits, sitting up a little straighter. "But if I'm bothering you, I can leave you to yourself."
no subject
"I was trying to see if I could use what... happened to me in Polaris."
132
"O-oh, jeez, am I interrupting something? S-sorry!"
no subject
"Huh? Oh, uh--ut's fine, Alphys. What's up?"
no subject
"Sorry..." She apologizes again. "I could sense a lot of magic over here, you know with these things."
She points to the implants.
no subject
"That was probably me. I was trying to use some." He tips his head. "What kind of magic does it sense?"
no subject
no subject
"I thought if I could... I don't know, tap into what's in my body now, maybe I could use it." He shrugs. "I don't have a lot to go off."
133
He perks up when Yuya comes running. "Sure, what is it?"
no subject
no subject
"If it's not something that you're literally blasting me with, then I'm down- hit me with whatever it is...!"
Someone's confident.
no subject
no subject
"So nothing that I need to do, then?"
no subject
