THE WOLVES AMONG US↴ ► WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS: It's fairly common knowledge that October is a special month - Halloween has always been an excitable time in the supernatural community, because its during this month that the magical energies of Earth seem to disproportionately swell in power. This peeks on the 31st, and has every year for as long as anyone can remember. The holiday of Halloween is a byproduct of this, because the magical phenomenon has gone on for ages past. It's also a pretty common time for wizards to attempt bullshit shenanigans, and also when the Severing first came into effect. ► TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL: Towards the end of the week, Prudence Jaeger will be asking her angelic contacts for a pretty huge favour - she wants them to help her and some of her associates break into the Circle stronghold that the visiting Council members are staying at. It seems that they have some kind of macguffin item that will be needed to crack the barrier cutting off the Earth from the cosmos - and, to that end, allow the angels and mysterious outsiders to return to wherever they call home. ► THE PATH TO HELL: Perhaps unsurprisingly, Team Heaven isn't the only group to clue into the fact that the Circle has what they need. On the same night that the angels go in, so will Anath's army, as the arch demon finally arrives in the city just in time to join the party. Whether the angels and demons fight each other all the way or cooperate to achieve a mutual goal is up to them. ► WITH GOOD INTENTIONS: The Circle and Torchlight aren't all bad, okay? It's entirely possible that they are just acting in the best interest of humanity - unfortunately, that has resulted in them being pretty massive pricks recently, and now the payback for that is arriving on their doorstep. If you're a member of the Circle, you may or may not realize that anything is coming in time for you to prepare. (That will depend on your threads up to the end of the week.) However, once the fight starts, you'll be charge with defending the Councillors whether you like it or not, and Torchlight is getting pulled in as an unexpected ally to ensure their safety as well. Are you going to heed their call? Or is it time to split from the pack? ► BLOOD OF ICE AND FIRE: It's been made no secret that the Rose Queen isn't the only fae trying to pull back her lost changelings - now the Winter Court appears to be doing it, as well. More than a handful of changelings have gone missing over the last couple weeks, lost to both the thorns and agents of the Count. Whatever they're doing, it's also in competition with each other - Winter and Summer will be biting at each other's heels far more than normal, to the degree that it becomes clear they must have some competing objective in mind. Unfortunately for everyone else, that objective happens to conflict with the desires of just about everyone else. Fae are, by nature, opportunists. - ✪ - These are the major conflicts that will be coming to a head towards the end of Week 3. In the meantime, your actions will decide how certain elements are set up, and what the likelihood of success is for each group. Dice rolling handily won the opinion poll where we asked for the preferred method of conflict resolution, so that will be coming into effect a bit later on to determine who actually wins and loses, with advantages based on the choices made.

[Yuya's been at Gon's side most nights since the attack, often too busy to come during the day. He didn't want to leave his friend alone, though, so he often pulls a chair closer to the bed and falls asleep in it.

He rouses very quickly as Gon starts to mutter more loudly. He shifts up, rubbing his eyes as he mumbles just as sleepily.]

Noboru...? 'Re you awake?

[Not quite. Not until a bit of time after the mutterings, at least. It is a good ten minutes first...and then...

Is that red...and green, perhaps..?] ....y....yuuya...?

[Yuua starts to settle back down quickly, assuming he misheard Gon's dreams.

But when he calls Yuya's name directly, Yuya shoots up out of his seat.] You're awake!

[He leans his hands against the bed at he peers down at him.] How are you feeling?

[otoko]

[Gongenzaka groans, his head still foggy and hazy as thoughts are blending.] Nhhhh...I, th...

...I thought we were in a c... [No, not a cave, he wasn't there, he was...] ...a forest... [Well no, but close, the park was near a woods, but he swore it was more tropical..?]

...what happened..?

[hippocarnival]

You were in the park. [But it's expected hed be confused after almost dying.] An angel attacked you, but you're okay now.

[otoko]

An angel..? [Very confused, actually. He squints toward the ceiling, trying to remember.] I thought it was...

...Mnn. ...I, th... ...I suppose it doesn't matter, [He murmurs, shaking himself.] But Yuuya... ...are you saying that you were present, then..?

[hippocarnival]

I had to stop him. [He says it so gravely.] He was--he was really trying to kill you! I thought he had!

[otoko]

Ahh....so he was doing that... [Yeah he's not totally aware of things yet-]

...Yuuya...were you hurt though..?

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya shakes his head quickly.] He stopped when I showed up. He didn't try and hurt me too.

[Logically, he could have, or even just swatted Yuya away without a problem. So Yuya believes at least some part of him didn't want to, he was just working with that girl...] I'm glad you're okay.

[otoko]

I wonder why....

...How long has it been though...where... [He frowns, his eyes adjusting.] ...Where is this?

[hippocarnival]

The Sanctuary. [He briefly wonders if he should tell Gon how bad it was, before deciding to be honest.] You've been asleep for days, but miss Zecora gave you a lot of blood to recover. The burns have been healing.

[otoko]

A few...

[Wait no-] BLOOD!?

[NO-] F-From who...from where..!?

[He is ignoring the matter of burns.]

[hippocarnival]

Blood bags...? [She's a doctor, Gon, she's got access to blood.] That's usually what you drink, right?

[otoko]

[Look man he's not all there right now!

At least he seems relieved.] ...Hnnn... It is... ...I was worried, for a moment...

...So we're in Sanctuary, then...

[Well, he doesn't seem to be on fire...] ...This was where you found those books, is it not?

[hippocarnival]

Don't worry, you didn't bite anyone. You've really just been asleep.

[He's been too weak to bite anyone, anyway. Yuya smiles and nods at his question.] Yeah. The Sanctuary is a place that supernatural people can come to and be safe.

[And has rooms without windows, luckily.]

[otoko]

Mnn...so I, th...

So I heard... ...I had been avoiding it for fear of anything holy I might pass... [How Ironic.]

[hippocarnival]

It's a big building, they're really good at keeping everyone safe here, whatever their... uh, species is? [Is that how they would identify different supernatural people? But most of them are or were some degree of human...] You don't know why they were after you, do you?

[otoko]

[He grimaces, and shakes his head.] I do not...

...I feel I recognize their voice, and even their shape, but...

Other than that, nothing.

[hippocarnival]

[Nothing, huh. Maybe he'll bother Yugo about that, then. Get some answers.] They won't be trying anything again.

[He will make certain of that.] Do you need anything now that you're awake?

[otoko]

[Does he? Answers would be nice. But he doesn't even know his questions at this point.] ...Well, it is a comfort to hear that at least...

...I, t... I think I'm fine, [he decides, still stammering over his voice.] It's strange...feeling this tired, I will admit.

[hippocarnival]

I'm not surprised. You were really badly hurt. [In case Yuya hasn't pressed that enough. He was worried!

He also has something he wants to speak to Gon about, but he doesn't want to push his recovery.] Do you need to go back to sleep? I'll stop keeping you up if you do.

[otoko]

Aaaaah- it... It's fine, it's not that sort of tired, [He laughs, waving a hand.] ...Just the exhaustion of injury...

[Yuya sits back down in his chair.] You're sure? Then can I ask you some things?

[otoko]

Hmnn..?

...Of course..! [he murmurs, blinking slowly.] ...What is it that you needed to ask..?

[He squints.] Are you sure the first time we met was when I found you in the forest?

[Super positive, Gon?]
