What: The Agents have been watching your activities over the last week, and they’ve decided it’s time to act.
Warnings: Violence and most likely body horror.

THE ABDUCTION↴ The visitors have not be subtle in their intrusions, and for a time the Agents have held back, analysing the true effects of these new entities before deciding to make a move. But now, their patience has run out. The source of this infection must be found, and eliminated, or else the whole system could be dragged apart. These aren’t just the rebelling humans. These are something else. [OOC: Tamaki, Childermass, and Carly were selected from the danger raffle to be fully abducted by Agents. Susan, Peridot, and Sherlock will be attacked by Agents, but will escape when Resistance members intervene. Please make a top level below with your characters doing something in the Matrix that is relatively secluded from big crowds of people, as that is when the Agents would most likely strike. You can bring other characters along if you like for the initial confrontations, though only the selected characters will actually be captured by Agents. Any injuries sustained in these fights will equally damage character’s real physical forms, no matter how damage resistant they may normally be. Unless they are bending the Matrix to use their powers or to alter it with One powers, they will be as vulnerable as a normal human. Agents and Resistance members will be played by the mods in this log.]

It only takes a split second after the gun is trained on Lauren for Susan to come to a decision on what to do. It's only a moment after the shots that Susan is grabbing the man's arm with his other hand with a Shocking Grasp spell, sending electricity sparking through him. He isn't worried about Lauren at all so his brother not getting shot doesn't even surprise him, but if Lauren's tackle is successful he uses the chance to try and squirm away and take a good few steps back from the both of them.

The electricity jolts up the Agent's arm, but doesn't seem to affect him as much as it would affect a normal person. In the meantime, they sweep away from Lauren's attempt at a tackle in a blur of motion, swinging the gun in Susan's direction now and opening fire again with laser accuracy.

They just need one. It doesn't matter which.

Susan reacts without even thinking and throws up a magical Shield to stop the bullet. Of course that doesn't stop the fact that his previous attack doesn't seem to have done a thing, or that he doesn't even know if he can cast more powerful magic here (the Psionic said something about it not working like he would expect, but he never tried anything complicated to see what would happen). If fighting wasn't an option, that didn't really give him any choices, but he wasn't going to just sit here and try to let this guy attack him.

...Not that he had any ideas other than to try and throw some Fire Bolts at the man to try and at least do something to him so they could get away. If that doesn't work he'll just have to do something stronger anyway...

Lauren falls to the ground as the agent sidesteps his tackle. He slides a bit along the hallway's tiles before hearing the shots. Panicking, he turns and scrambles to his feet, but Susan appears unharmed. He wishes he had his staff with him then maybe he could do something. He doesn't know about Susan's cast spell or it's lack of effect on his would be kidnapper.

He didn't want to hurt anyone in this world where he didn't understand things, but he wasn't going to let Susan be hurt either. Looking around wildly he sees a metal shelf filled with supplies for the animals in the exhibits. He grabs the medal shelves, grunting as he lifts them off the floor and throws them towards the agent.

"Susan, watch out!"

The Agent weaves between the firebolts with ease, its image blurring into multiple shadow images as it moves. Then, as Lauren hurls the medal shelf in its direction, it catches it on its hands and effortlessly sends it crashing down on top of Susan.

Free of that distraction, the Agent opens fire on Lauren a second time, discarding the first gun as it empties and then whipping another freshly loaded one out of their coat.

"Stop wasting my time."

He starts to try and get out of the way when Lauren calls to him, but then before he has a chance to react the metal shelf is being redirected at him, instead, and all he can do is toss up another Shield to protect himself from taking the full force of it as it comes crashing down on him.

The agent dodges the firebolts so easily. He caught the shelf in mid-air! Lauren freezes. For the first time he realizes they might not win this fight. He has no idea what he and Susan had done to have someone act like this, but this man clearly wanted them dead. Its not fear the consumes him at the realization, but anger. He watches the shelf crash onto his brother likes its happening in slow motion. Lauren knows he needs to save his brother. Lauren is the only one who knows Susan's here. If Lauren died no one would come to help them. Then he better not die.

He glares at the agent as he begins to speak, not even hearing the words as magical energy glows around him. Frost spreads on the floor and crackles up the walls. The agent fires and the bullets are caught by shields of ice that crack and shatter from their impact. Lauren's hands fly through the air as he gestures casting his spell.

"Leave my brother alone!"

The wind starts whipping the words away from his mouth and blowing his hair about. From nowhere snow appears, flurrying around them in the hallway impossibly thick and too hard to see through. It's wet, like it's only halfway frozen and mixed with rain.

The Agent, not fully understanding what is happening, keeps shooting. They keep shooting at Lauren and his ice shield until their magazines run out and they have to reload, tossing those guns aside and withdrawing two more. They are, in fact, so fixated on this anomaly, this freak of nature, that they don't even notice when someone has come up behind them.

One shot is all it takes. A bullet enters the Agent's head from behind, and exits out the front. Blood spatters. The body falls, and in a surge of electricity, the form of the Agent disappears in favour of the dead body of the innocent zoo worker it had been before.

The woman behind that fallen corpse is holding down her hood against the wind, calling out over the sound. She starts trying to haul up the shelf that's on top of Susan.

"Y'all need to come with me! There's more of them coming, and fast!"

Lauren had already began moving towards the shelf, as soon as the spell had finished. He was focused on one thing, and one thing only, getting his brother. He doesn't know who this woman is as she comes over to help him, and he certainly doesn't know if he can trust her, but right now he doesn't have a choice. If she can get him and Susan out of here than he'll follow her.

Together the two of them left the shelves, Lauren scooping up his brother and holding him like he did when Susan was small.

"Lead the way." he says, to the woman, ready to start running wherever she leads them.

Susan is of course no help in moving the shelf; even if he hadn't been the one pinned by it, he isn't strong enough to move something like that. He's hurting and more than a bit dazed, but he just lets Lauren scoop him up, honestly just happy to have his brother take care of things right now. At least they're both safe, that's what's really important.

The women pulls out another gun as they run, getting herself ready for a conflict she is fully expecting. She's thankful that the kid came so easily. For all that this move might bite all of them in the ass, that reaction goes a long way to making her believe that she's not wasting her time.

Once they are out of the building, they are running through the empty zoo, getting towards that exit as quickly as possible. As they move, one of the zoo janitors turns to them, looking alarmed - only to stutter and shift into the form of a brand new agent right in front of them.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck," the woman comments, turning to fire the moment she spots the target. "Go!" she yells at the two of them.

He wants to stay and help her. She may have just saved not only his life, but his brothers as well. The desire to stay and fight is strong. At the same time, so is the desire to protect Susan. On top of that, he doesn't know what's happening here, this stranger does. He has to trust that she knows what she's doing, so he does. He knows Susan wouldn't want to leave, but that's why he's the older brother. He can compromise his morals if it means Susan survives, he always has.

He keeps running, heading straight for the entrance and moving faster than he ever has before.

It's true that Susan doesn't want to leave, but even he understands the danger they're in here and so he doesn't fight Lauren on it right now. Of course that doesn't mean he won't try to come back later, but for now he just stays in Lauren's arms and lets his brother run with him without argument or struggle. He just hopes that the woman who saved them is okay, and that he can thank her later.

There's more gunfire as they run, but nobody follows them to the entrance gates. Of course, once they are beyond them, a dark vehicle screeches up to them, the back door pushed open by a young man in shades and a hoodie.

He gestures desperately for them to get inside.

"C'mon, we're your getaway drivers!"

Then again, getting in a fast moving metal cage is much different than following someone to the zoo exit. He doesn't know if he can trust these people, but he definitely knows he cant trust the person he's running from. With a prayer to Eldath he gets in closing the door behind him. He's hunched over Susan, protecting his brother with his body as he warily watches the strangers in the car.

Once they get in and Lauren's sitting, Susan starts to squirm to get out of his arms. He might have gotten hurt, sure, but that doesn't mean he's a baby and he definitely doesn't need Lauren to carry him now that they're safe. Temporarily safe at least.

"But where are we getting away to?"
