[ She winces and instinctively covers her ears with her hands, her cloak-like fins brushing him as they folded over too. ]

Shhh...

[ Even that little sound from him and from her are as loud as a train in her ears. ]

[Oh. His brows furrow in concern as he moves himself a bit closer, or at least as much as the water will let him without floating away. Yuugi flicks his manta tail behind him, unsure of what to do before he reaches out, placing a hand on her shoulder and then curling closer, lowering his voice.]

Everything's too loud. [ She barely says it, practically mouths it. Good thing his hearing is pretty good. ]
