Bored as always.
Who: Lucifer and OPEN
What: Exploring the carnival and probably annoying strangers.
When: Day 95
Where: Gamer's Circle, and anywhere you want him to bump into you
Warnings: None yet.
After a brief mishap with a malfunctioning Ferris wheel, Lucifer found himself flying away from the contraption and landing by the entrance of the circus. He folded his wings firmly behind his back, checking around him to make sure he wouldn't get into trouble for exiting a ride in what was probably considered an "unsafe way."
Granted, to him, staying on a rickety, broken-down Ferris wheel was far more unsafe than flying away from it before it collapsed.
Being interested in what was going on around him was a bit new to him. What was even worse was the fact he was actually a little overwhelmed by all the sights to be seen. The demon world didn't have anything like this, and angels would have turned up their noses at such mindless...fun. And the human world? Lucifer had gotten to see very little of that.
He wandered around Gamer's Circle, not participating in any of the games himself, but watching others do so and wondering if this was truly supposed to be more entertaining than video games.

"I tried to turn Mister Holmes back into a human, but the Ringmaster's magic was far too powerful for me to do so. I'd recommend not crossing her."

He shrugs, more in a gesture to convey his confusion than anything else. "I've no idea why he would antagonize the Ringmaster. For a faerie, she's a good employer." She's also the second faerie that Strange has actually MET, so he really has no way to judge who would be a good employer among the fae or not. He certainly believes that he knows what he's talking about, though.

"What was he doing? This "Holmes" guy, I mean."

Strange is equally not subtle, as Lucifer's probably guessed, so this is a little bit the pot calling the kettle black. Still, as Strange rolls his eyes, he's a hundred percent confident in his assessment that Sherlock Holmes is loud and troublesome.

"Sounds like someone I should avoid."

Again, Strange is a giant hypocrite. Though he's just talking about this in the most idle, nonjudgemental sort of manner possible.

"He sounds like an idiot. Sticking your nose in the wrong person's business is a good way to get a sword run through your chest."
Which hurts. A lot.

Entirely unaware that Lucifer actually has experience getting stabbed, Strange siiiiighs, giving the other man a little shrug. "Hopefully he's learned his lesson. I don't think any of us would want to deal with that sort of nonsense again."

Here he gives a rather wicked little chuckle.
"Of course, I wonder if them turning back would teleport them outside the jar, break the car, or if they'd be unable to transform back from within the confines of the glass. You come home and check your lizard friend, only to find this unmorphed mass of flesh." It's amusing to him. It honestly is. And just a little gross.

"I wouldn't know," Strange remarks, as if talking about this is a perfectly normal circumstance and not something that's a little creepy. "I'm afraid that I'm still a little stuck on the changing someone back aspect of transfiguration magic. Oh, I can turn them into birds or cats easily, but going back to human is difficult."
no subject
Lucifer's magic isn't quite as advanced as transformation spells or anything of that nature. Mostly he's good at blowing stuff up, among little things like that. Exploding feathers. The works.
"I know if I could do that kind of magic, I'd always be paranoid I'd screw up on a tiny detail. I'd turn someone back from being a monkey and they'd still have a tail, or something stupid like that."
no subject
"The only reason I've been able to cast that magic in the first place is because I've improvised off of previous spells." That's how Strange did most of his magic these days, after all. He took something, he added onto it, made alterations, and then cast it that way.

He pauses, considering. No, that's how it was in the twin planets. The human world was different, and he amends his statement now to reflect that.
"Actually, humans were able to do whatever they wanted, with enough potential and a lot of studying. Magicians and sorcerers tended to be less powerful than us, but they were a lot more flexible, too."
no subject
"What are you, out of curiosity?"
Obviously not a fae--his experience with them was few and far between but he can't imagine any fae either willingly signing on with the Ringmaster or being dumb enough to get stuck in her trap. So what was this fellow?
