PORTLAND, AS YOU KNEW IT↴![]() The shift went unseen and unfelt. One moment you were one person, and the next, another. This before all that, though, in the new life that you remember living here in Portland. No memories of your true self have arisen yet, and at the time this was the only life you knew. Did these events truly happen at all? Or do they only exist in memory? |

Sora's not sure why he's so nervous. After all, it's not the first time he's had a roommate, and he's never had trouble making new friends. Perhaps it's just the daunting prospect of sharing a room with someone for the next four years of his life, someone he barely knows. How would this guy even deal with him? Would he be accepting?
Still, he helps him loft his bed (and wow did this guy like snakes or what) and pull in the rest of his luggage. He watched Sean set up the terrariums, intrigued, and continuously pulling Sparky away from them until the cat got bored. He hopes the awkwardness disperses soon. Or that something interesting would happen.
"S-so, um, what's your major?"

The second, however does require a verbal response, and for some reason a bit of a blush. "Undecided... Still doing gen ed." He's considering several fields, though. "Maybe English?" Is that embarrassing? Maybe. He's been called names before. Mostly by football players. Apparently reading and playing volleyball makes you effeminate and/or homosexual, who knew?

"Me too," he answers, grinning awkwardly. "I mean, the undecided-gen ed stuff. I don't really know what I wanna do. English sounds cool, though."
He hopes he's not babbling. He's been called annoying before, too, amongst other things. Sean doesn't seem like the talkative type, though, so maybe filling the silence is welcome.
"I, um, I play soccer, though. Do you play any sports or anything? Or clubs?"

"What position do you play?" He doesn't know a lot about soccer, but he's interested in learning more. His younger sister is on a soccer team, but it might be different between levels and between boys and girls, he doesn't know.

The few times he's played goalie, he's somehow managed to hurt himself. Either he'll trip and fall into the mud, or on one occasion he actually ran into the goal post. Maybe it was a coincidence, but he tries to stay away from it now if he can.
Sora sits up on his bed and begins to pet Sparky, who is absolutely loving all the attention.

Not that his sisters weren't, but if he has to share a room, he may as well share interests too. He's never done the former before, after all.

He thinks about it, but honestly Sora really only wants to play soccer. But shouldn't he be, like, well rounded or something? He's not sure. He kind of just wants to settle in before jumping into something crazy.

"I might try, too." He's heard rumors of a gaming club, and Sean's interested in trying that, though he's never played a tabletop game in his life. Maybe it'd be a good way to meet people.
