Big Trouble in Little Kalos
Who: Zecora, a Lucario, and you!
When: Day 150
Where: The Medical Tent
What: Zecora may not be the best zebra, in a vacuum, to train a Fighting-type.
Warnings: Rhyming?
The usual serenity of the Medical Tent broke along with, from the sound of it, several ceramic jars -- plus a faintly gong-like crash that might have been a cauldron. A moment later, the front tent flaps flew open as a sphere of energy shot out and into the sky, followed by a Lucario, followed by a zebra that came to a halt in the doorway, her hooves stamping angrily on the ground.
"That was not a training dummy!
Your behavior is just crummy!"
Lucario picked himself up and dusted himself off, haughtily refusing to acknowledge Zecora's withering glare or twitching muscles. In this, he was a fairly wise Pokemon, for Zecora's anger could never last terribly long. After a moment, the zebra relaxed slightly, stepping out of the tent proper to address Lucario in a more reasonable tone of voice.
"If my tools or patients are near
You cannot throw an Aura Sphere."
Lucario looked back to her, then turned fully to face her as he lifted one paw in a vague challenge directed at nothing, then banged it against his other paw and twisted his wrists so the spikes on the back of each banged together. Zecora, who had seen this all before, sighed.
"No you might
NOT seek a fight.
I have a hunch
Nopony wants a punch."
Lucario actually growled, more out of frustration than anger, before just dropping right down on the path to sulk. Looking rather upset, Zecora sat next to him, patting his back with one hoof out of sympathy.
"I don't know what to do
With you, is it true," she said, just as frustrated as her poor Pokemon looked.

a wild vibrava appears!
Which was fine! Nosh isn't a judgemental bug dragon! But she can relax AFTER she evolves!
Landing on the top of the medical tent, Nosh arrives just in time to see the grumpy lucario and his master come out. Now there was someone who could put up a fight!!
Nosh flies down and flares her orange-colored wings at lucario, chittering insistently. Her own master is no where to be seen]
no subject
Oh! No way!
What did I just say?!
no subject
Then, she flies away further from the tent. She lands and looks back at Lucario. Look! They can have a fight! Somewhere else!]
no subject
Is quite okay?
[The other Pokemon's desire is unmistakable, but Zecora has certain reservations nonetheless. Not enough to actually stop her Lucario, as he took off at a job after Nosh.]
no subject
... Well, except trees. But that was fine, right? Right.]
no subject
[Zecora catches up to them just as Lucario drops back into a fighting stance.]
no subject
ITS ON]
no subject
[Then, with almost savage delight, he draws on paw back, gathers energy around it, then flings the Aura Sphere at Nosh.]
no subject
She spirals toward Lucario, but just before impact, she dives to the ground, hitting it with massive force and causing an Earthquake! And what an earthquake it is -- a few of the trees nearby are shaken enough to fall over]
[said Earthquake is also enough to catch someone's attention elsewhere in the carnival. Someone who happened to be Nosh's trainer, and is just about sick of her running off and picking fights. He was gonna have to find her and put an end to this nonsense]
no subject
No no no! Stop it, you two!
This simply will not do!
[Lucario knows that tone of voice. He stops it. Right there.]
no subject
Nosh looks at Zecora pitifully, her antennae drooping. Y U GOTTA BE THIS WAY...?]
[about then, someone else crashes into the woods, yelling out;]
NOSH PAKU-PAKU OKUMURA, YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!
[Nosh cowers a bit. Full name. Never a good thing. Rin comes through the brush and looks down at her with a stern eye. He then looks apologetically at Zecora]
I'm sorry. I've been looking for her all over, and I felt that little earthquake she made. I hope she isn't giving you and your blue dog too much trouble.
no subject
But they're causing more harm than they should.
[Mostly Nosh, to be fair. Earthquake, honestly? But Lucario had encouraged that behavior, so she turns her firm look back on him to make it clear he bears some blame in this.]
He's eager to fight
Whenever he might.
no subject
Is everything all right, Miss Zecora?
no subject
He has too much energy.
[And Zecora doesn't know how to work that out of him without giving him free reign to seek the battles he shouldn't be able to get into in the first place.]
no subject
[Hinawa has definitely had experience with that before.]
Maybe he needs someone to help him burn it off? Sunny, would you like to play with- Sunny?
[The Phantump is hiding behind Hinawa's skirt, as if he doesn't want the Lucario to spot him.]
no subject
That would not be right.
He truly wishes to fight.
[Indeed, Lucario has gotten to his feet, the better to throw a few punches at the air.]
no subject
I... see. I don't think Sunny would be up for that, after all. Somehow I doubt we'll find anyone looking to wrestle around here, either.
no subject
It is quite a trouble
That each day seems to double.
no subject
[She perks up, as if a lightbulb went on over her head.]
What if he did some work for the carnival? You seem awfully strong, I'm sure the animal handlers, or the guards would love to have you!
no subject
If he cannot train.
[But Zecora isn't putting her idea down, as she scratches her chin with one hoof. Very carefully, since that hoof is sharp obsidian.]
Do you perhaps know
If we could make a fight a show?
no subject
I don't know... is there a way to fight without anyone getting hurt?
no subject
Not quite safe, but close enough
To satisfy his need
That would be enough indeed.
