Arrivals and Plenty of Confusion [Closed]

Who: Yuzu, Yuya and Gongenzaka later on
When: Day 159, before the spell goes off
Where: The carnival
What: Yuzu has arrived in the carnival as the new cashier and a promise of answers. Juuuuust that there may be a few complications...
Warnings: Regularly dopey stuff involving these three?

Yuzu felt a little annoyed. There was a tournament going on and she really needed to go back. But, she couldn't do it now. Mostly because it seemed that it was fine hanging back a little while. Especially with what she had experienced before. Oh, well, it was time to be a cashier. Can't be too hard, can it? And it was essentially payment for figuring out what's going on with everything she's witnessed the past few weeks.

Of course, it's not all that simple. Especially since certain people were out and about as Yuzu mindlessly wandered the carnival, seeing what they had so far.

[Gongenzaka is, in fact, meditating, which brings an unfortunate number of New Things to the table as the others approach the lake. Had he been practicing his reiraku spell, he would have known they were coming-perhaps he could have...prepared. Instead however, it is energy focus he trains in, an aura of ice blue gleaming off his body like fire as he meditates in the center of the lake...

Sitting on his four legs like a regal sphinx, while his arms hold the proper and peaceful position above forepaws-his ears still, his eyes, shadowed by a dark mask, closed...And his only movement the flowers and leaves of his body, gently moving in the wind of his own soul.

....He changed, just a little.]

Yuya knew it. He's not surprised to see him in the middle of the lake, but he remembers what happened last time he broke Gon's concentration--so he doesn't call out to him just yet.

Instead he steps to the side so Yuzu can see, putting a finger to his lips as he turns to her as if that's at all going to stop her reaction to what a sight he is to behold.

"There he is! He's been practicing how to do that lately. Pretty cool, right?"

Yuzu can't help but gaze in awe at Gongenzaka's form. He's like some sort of dog! And that magic... whatever frustrations she had were put tinto the wayside as she continued to watch.

"Is... is that what may happen to me?" She asked, curiously.

HERE HAVE SUZU FOR NOW

[One would certainly hope not, considering what it took to get there. Gongenzaka doesn't break his full focus just yet, either-but that does not mean the duo is alone. What looks to be an odd pink bulldog on two legs sniffs at them from where she's slipped away from her trainer's pokeball, mossy collar and bow contrasting cutely.]

....Snuh!!

"Uh, I hope not." But now he's absolutely imagining Yuzu as a giant, furry dogtaur, and he just stares blankly for a moment before shaking the thought off. "We can turn into almost anything... even smoke! But nobody seems to be hurting from being changed?"

That's how he reassures himself anyway. He doesn't want to dunk Gongenzaka in water, again, so he holds off getting his attention to show Yuzu the other oddity attached to their friend.

"Hi, Suzu!" And just like he does with his pets, he reaches to pick her up. "This is Gongenzaka's--pet, I guess?" He has little idea what Pokemon are or aren't, but he's definitely assuming 'pet'.

"Woah...!" Yuzu yelped as she hopped back in surprise at the sudden arrival. Such a strange creature. Looks like it could fit in well as a card, but...

"...it's name is 'Suzu'?" She asked, looking towards Yuya before looking at Suzu. She has a lot to learn and she's just getting started...

As if to explain the name-'bell'-Suzu gives a sudden yip, the sound automatically followed by the combined sensation of relative peace, as well as a bell chime.

So...yep. Suzu.

Yuya grins as he scratches behind her ears. "Yeah, that's what he named her. A few other people here have animals like these, too."

And then he tries to pass her to Yuzu, because why wouldn't Gongenzaka's Pokemon like her too?

Thankfully, Yuzu's gonna take Suzu into her hands, a big smile on her face. "Wow, it's so cute...!" She said, giggling softly. Oh, she kinda wished she was around to get one herself!

Anything can happen with pokemon breeding-

Suzu, for her part, is just eager to have attention and compliments, hurriedly attacking Yuzu with happy licks while she yips.

....It's enough to cause a certain someone to stir...

While Suzu lavishes affection on Yuzu, Yuya looks up at the lake. He sees the stirring, and when he thinks Gon is looking their way he raises his hand high over his head with a wave.

"Gongenzaka!"

"Ah! H-hey!" Yuzu yelped as she found herself licked, laughing as she did. However, her focus changed once she noticed who Yuya was calling out to.

"Gongenzaka?"

Gongenzaka stands rather easily on the water, given that he isn't completely wrenched from his focus. Spotting Yuuya first, he gives a nod, beaming. "Aah, Yuuya..! I, the man Gongenzaka, had thought I smelled something famil-"

And that is where his focus falters. Those who have been at the carnival for a time, are those he's come to know not only by sight and sound, but by his more canid senses. It would stand to reason therefore that...those who he hadn't seen since that time, he wouldn't recognize in the same way.

So when it occurs to him just who is standing beside Yuuya, just who called his name, he chokes-

And almost immediately realizes his folly. "NM-OHH!!"

SPLASH. Quite immediately, the enormous furball of a patrolman is in the water, surfacing mere seconds later with a sputtering cough and clearing up hair and vines from his toothy face. With wide eyes, Gongenzaka looks toward the pair as he makes his way to shore. "YU-YUZU!!! You're here!?"

Yuya flinches as Gongenzaka takes a dump into the water. Well, he tried to avoid that anyway.

He smiles, but it's a little tight as Gon makes it to the shore. He puts a hand by his mouth and calls out. "Yeah, it's Yuzu! She was just watching Sora's duel with Kurosaki, and now she's joined the carnival like we did!"

It's completely blurted out, but the important things he's saying aren't the actual words. It's the intent that he hopes Gongenzaka understands--be careful what you say. She doesn't know.

Yuzu winced as Gongenzaka fell into the water. Oh, well, that was graceful. Either way, she's quick to wave at her friend, before turning to Yuya, a little annoyed.

"Yuya, I could have told him that!" She said, not knowing the reason why he did so.

[otoko]

"HAUH?! Kurosaki?! But that's-" ...Oh.

Suffice to say, he realizes mid-sentence what it is Yuuya means, and hopes very strongly that Yuzu didn't catch the pause. It's rather easy to make up for it as he comes closer however-and while his upper half is certainly 'gongenzaka sized', his lower half, being as large as the largest of polar bears at the least, is...not.

Suzu, now squirming, doesn't seem to care. "Auh! Suzu! ...You escaped your pokeball again..."

"Yrrf!"

The snubbull continues to squirm, watching as Gongenzaka makes his way out from the water. It is not until he is truly out however-with his hind legs barely touching the shore-line as hooves sink into the dirt-that Yuuya may remember the...Next part of what came of Gongenzaka's changes.

It's second nature after all, and they have about a hair of a second before the leaf-covered 'dog' shakes.

"You didn't let her out on purpose...?"

Yuya brings his arms up to sheild himself and--sorry, Yuzu, but he's trying to run behind her for cover. He laughs as he ducks. "Hey--! Maybe you need a spell for drying off next."

[fusionactuallysuitsher]

"Wait! Don't!"

Any attempt to stop Gongenzaka from shaking is futile as she's promptly bathed in water. Even more so with the fact that Yuya hid behind her.

"Eugh, why?"

"Phew...." There is, initially, a sigh of relief.

And then naturally, as the nine foot tall bear-taur rises up again, he immediately stiffens. "AUH-!!"

Well he certainly hecked up this time, didn't he- "S-Sorry..! It was an immediate instinct..!" Except, well- "I, the man Gongenzaka, should have resisted it...! This is UNFORGIVABLE..!"

Well, it's good to see some things don't change...?

Yuya starts to crack up behind Yuzu. It takes a weight off his heart, veing together like this, and for a moment it's like everything that happened after the championship is a distant dream.

He can never completely forget it, though. Noir when he straightens back up and watches Yuzu out the corner of his eye. He's fling an awful lot of staring, he knows it's a silly reaction...

Yuya moves back around Yuzu and clasps his hands behind his head with a grin. "I told you he had a lot of fur."

There's a growl as Yuzu quickly beans both Yuya and Gongenzaka with her paper fan - Yuya in the head, Gongenzaka on the chest (sorry, he's too big to actively jump up there!) - hitting them quite hard.

"I can't believe the both of you!" she shouted.

[otoko]

"G-OH!!!" It might not be the head, but it stings! And he curls up some as he holds his front. "MNGHHH....I..It is indeed good to have you back, Yuzu..."

[hippocarnival]

Yuya grabs his head as he's swatted, leaning away. "Ow, hey...! it's not like you aren't here for the same thing," he pouts. He knows thats not exactly what the reprimand is for but he's still going to point out they're on even ground.

"But it's good that... we're all together again." Or rather, it's good Yuzu is back. But Yuya is attempting some subtlety here.

Yuzu lets out a calming sigh as she puts away the fan again before she smiles and nods. "You're right, it is good to be together. Especially since it seems like I'm going to need to baby sit you two."

[otoko]

"A-AUH...Baby sit..!? I-I, the man Gongenzaka, have been faring quite fine through the last number of months!!"
