What: It's time to play with the Wardrobe's new tools...and for people to get Fittings done.

[OPEN PROMPT: Ask for Carly, Nui, or Julien!]

It isn't long into the first official day 'back to work', that a relatively loud public announcement comes out on the radios. And for those who aren't listening on the radios, Carly has sent her trusty pokemon, Nuna to go and deliver small flyers to any employee she runs into. People who refuse may find themselves heckled by a ghostly fire-whielding lizard.

Regardless-the announcement goes as follows.

"Everyone! Now that we're back to work, there's a lot of things to get back on track with! First, I know a lot of us have had some new changes...and a lot of us are new too! So hello, new people! Regardless, I need everyone-and I mean EVERYONE, even if you haven't had any changes recently-to drop by the Wardrobe tent at some point this week.

"This is because we have a new tool for fittings now~ It's a shapeshifting mannequin, which will make getting everyone their clothes a lot faster! But it needs to actually be exposed to the person it's matching size with, so think of it as one last check-in before you grow wings or something like that alright? If you don't come in, you're not going to find anything fitting you, so make sure you come in..!!" This isn't entirely true, in the case of people she's already fitted, but...hey. Don't leave her hanging.

The Wardrobe Tent isn't hard to find-around the back end of the Big Top, it's where any performer has to pass through before actually performing after all. Decked out with streams and bolts of fabric of all sorts, and definintely something of a controlled chaotic mess, there is a particularly large space cleared up for people entering this time around. The Mannequin, faceless and default, stands ready.

As does at least one member of the Wardrobe Team who actually bother with cloth. If it's Carly, expect a warm, and somewhat excitable welcome, as well as a wave. Nui? An even more excitable welcome. Maybe even too excited, she's just so...Happy? (And yet somehow, Carly probably seems more giddy about it...)

Julien-presumably the human one at least-is far more contained then both, suffice to say, but either way their greeting all boils down to one thing.

Are you here for your fitting, then? Well let's get Started.

There is one new addition to the Wardrobe Tent in particular that those under Carly's employ will notice-a very, VERY large ...Thing. "Okay!" Carly explains to everyone, as many times as it takes, in as many different instances as there are. Not everyone is going to crowd around a machine like a pack of curious dogs after all-knowing her crew? It'll largely be in...Individual encounters. Regardless!

She's excited. "This is our new recycling machine~! ...Er. Sort of. This," she explains, holding up a set of transcribed instructions, "Is a '3D Printer'! It takes the materials we put inside, and makes the product as we desire. For things like costumes, this....isn't a good idea," Carly notes, coughing. "Nothing beats our own hands for that..! But when it comes to getting fabric sheets, or even decorations, it's perfect~ We can finally make use of our scrap bin, or even our old make up~! So what do you think we should try thowing in first?"

This is a good question and can't possibly end badly, nope.

Most of the time, Costumes and coming acts are the main focus for detailed work, but with things starting off again, a small project or two isn't out of the question-so come on in, and ask one of the tailors about what you need done!)

"Uh oh," Julien says sotto voice as Joker considers and keeps considering. This has a lot of potential to go very wrong. Julien's beak is a lot more dexterous than people give it credit for, he's used it for as a hand for a long time and it's quite steady, but it's still a big pink beak on a bigger, feathery head.

He snorts. "Who on? That's a really important factor." The kettle's started boiling; Julien pours hot water into a cup and gives it to the mannequin. It doesn't drink but he likes to imagine it enjoys the steam or the heat. "I mean, 'myself' is the obvious answer. I can heal myself of anything that doesn't just kill me." Up to and including a destroyed eye, which. Happened, recently.

"But you know, if it's me I could lean into or away and make it easier on myself. Is that really challenging enough?" This has a lot of potential to go wrong and Julien is not helping.

"I'll do it!"

And no one was surprised.

If he's worried at all, it doesn't show on Joker's face. All he does is grin widely, eyes sparkling in the light of the wardrobe quarters. Swinging one leg over the other, he rests his forearm against the knee and begins gesturing idly from there. "I can stay still well enough~! I won't even ask for anythin' too fancy-" You know, like his usual preferences for makeup. "Just somethin' simple, ta make things easier on ya~."

And to make sure that Joker doesn't lose an eye himself.

Julien closes his eyes and flops his head back in an overly dramatic expression of dismay. He really isn't surprised. When he gets his head upright again he's got one palp pressed to his forehead, and gesticulates with his other.

"Upper eyelid only, gotta be with a brush, I could manage mascara and shadow too, if they're also with brushes. I'm not going to do jack with a pencil. You can pick specifics." Eyeliner brushes tend to be sharp too, of course, but it's possible to apply certain kinds with a small soft brush. There's ups and downs with that, he doesn't need to go into them with Joker.

"But this better not happen while we're at a stop. And it can't happen inside, I'm all touchy about circulation as a bird." This is a halfhearted dodge around him not being comfortable indoors these days.

Oh, Julien is by far not the first one to express melodramatic dismay over Joker's life choices. By this point, all it has Joker do is grin widely, absolutely delighted at the reaction. Half the fun of suggesting bad life choices, sometimes, is watching people react or play along.

"Oh, it should absolutely happen at a stop!" he interjects, laughing in delight. "It'd be a great little show ta the side, don't ya think? Come watch a bird the size of a boulder apply a bloke's makeup! People pay for that, y 'know."

"Really? You have that kind of faith in my multitasking talents?" Ignoring whatever onlookers say or do while handling something fiddly is totally multitasking, isn't it? "Glass in the way, some kind of... remote viewing thing, or you feel like just being really trusting? This is something you gotta see up close to really appreciate."

Julien does have a secret weapon that makes this seem more plausible to him, if this does end up happening. His bird tongue is sort of pronged or three-branched, or forked partway up, with a long tip and two shorter projections that he can touch together and use to grasp. He wouldn't have to make all the necessary fine motions with his whole head, he could do just fine with his tongue.

This, now, this is making him think of old timey freakshows. He's seen Freaks and heard some of the dialogue about it. See, he has no hands and still manages to do this! It doesn't come off as creepy to that degree though.

Definitely old timey, but more on the skills side of things than anything really mocking as what they'd rescued Snake from. Joker is fine with it when it's that kind of thing. So he simply continues to laugh.

"Oh, we'll have a bodyguard on hand~. Make sure people think twice about smackin' one of us and messin' it all up."

Julien holds up a couple of tea packets in one hand to see if Joker likes the look of either. Tea bags might not be the best carriers for good tea, but they're convenient and all over the Carnival.

"A bodyguard! So who do you have in mind, more of a charmer or an intimidator? Surely not the big orange animal keeper, though I have to say, her eyeliner is always on point." Also she seems enormously bad tempered as well as enormous and he likes steering clear of that kind of thing.

Half seriously he says, "You do know that if you keep going on about this it's probably going to happen, right?"

It's been a good few years by now; Joker's adapted to basic tea in that time. Hell, it's not like he ever had really good kinds for years anyway, so even this much is better than nothing. He eyes the bags for a while, brain half one place and half another.

"Oh no, I'm sure she wouldn't have the patience ta deal with me." Joker laughs, pointing out the tea on the right as he does so. He knows what kind of people put up with him and what ones don't, just on sigh. "Zaka is a good lad, 'tho, wouldn't ya say?"

And oh, he knows it's probably going to happen if he keeps talking long enough, but Joker only smiles in regards to that.

Julien nods and tears it open, gets it into one of the mismatched cups and pours in hot water. He's an increasingly good multitasker. Has to be, with his powerset, and he's just been getting better at it with practice. Right now his other body is just sunbathing, anyway, so he can apply himself fully to right here.

"He seems pretty nice. I do gotta say with him around I don't seem as big or as visually extravagant, so it kinda spoils that part of the effect. When he's there I just don't feel as noticeable!" His shape is simple and so is his color scheme, even considering the blue patterns on the undersides of his wings. Gon's is neither. "Not a dealbreaker, but I want that noted. I'm extremely vain and petty when it suits me."

"Oh no!" Joker laughs, amused. "Maybe ya belong in Performance after all if ya feel like that." Everyone knows his department gets the conventional drama queens who like to have the spotlight on them. The other departments... Well, they're all trashfires in their own way. That's the carnival for you.

"Well, we have some new folks with us, don't we? See anyone that fits yer very specific need ta be the center of attention?"
