THE ALIEN HORDES↴ ![]() On the morning of Day 44, things go a bit differently. The carnival opens it's doors and for an hour, things are going just fine...until the aliens attack, that is. ► ALIEN INVASION: The carnival, the athlete's village, and Olympic Spaceship will find themselves overrun by aliens: specifically, a race called the Greimen. The name's accurate: they look like stereotypical grey aliens, only 2-4 feet tall. They're invading the spaceship and the planet, trying to take control of Zargon and Olympic Spaceship for themselves. The main strength these aliens have is their numbers: there's literally thousands of them. Unfortunately for the aliens, they don't have many other strengths. They're easily punchable, kickable, ray guns permanently set to stun, and other amusing space weapons designed to minorly inconvenience people. ► FUCK THIS SHIT I'M OUT: The fighting lasts for a good half-hour or so before the Ringmaster decides no, this is dumb. Characters who aren't at the carnival will feel a compulsion to return to the carnival. Once everyone's there, the Ringmaster will magically eject the remaining aliens from carnival grounds and yank the carnival away from the Olympics themselves. ► OOC GUIDELINES: Despite the fact that this is a fight log, the carnage shouldn't be too excessive! No horribly mutilating the aliens, y'all. The aliens are only mildly better equipped than the Space Olympics themselves, so everything will be a bit comedic and light-hearted. Characters can get hurt, but the wounds should tend more towards 'amusing injuries' than 'someone losing a leg'. As the log's forward-dated, feel free to keep doing all your fun space olympics nonsense in the other logs! |
WE'RE LEAVING TOGETHER
He shouldn't be, really. He's not one to senselessly wreak havoc, nor is he one to really outwardly express any great amount of joy or excitement. He's usually fairly mellow and calm, rarely working himself up into any remote state of emotional fervor. It isn't something that happens with him.
There's something about this hulking alien body, though, that just delights him. He feels powerful in it, and while he doesn't want to hurt anyone, it at least feels nice when he can tower over others.
And when the Greimen arrive, storming the ship and flooding the halls with their massive numbers, well... The first tail slap was an accident he swears--
(Every Other Time, However, Was Not.)
What the Greimen have in masses he has in Actual Mass, his size more than enough to swat several of them out of the way with a swipe of his larger arms or tail. Storming through the crowds of them is a cakewalk, and as long as he can get a good roll in afterward, he can even stop to look over some of the stalls since he never really got a chance to do that.
He ends up finding a booth that sells some pretty unusual things for an Olympic stand and nabs a few sets of hard-edged dice as his own memory of this (admittedly ill-outfitted) location and of his first several days working for the carnival. Plus, he's pretty sure there are some group games that use these kinds of dice, and it might be good to have some on-hand in case someone sets something like that up...
He carries on with ease, his tail swishing through the sea of Greimen to make room for himself, but it grinds to a halt when he notices a figure trapped in the mob that distinctly isn't another Greiman. He cranes his neck down and picks Reira out of the mass, holding her carefully above the aliens so they'll have a harder time grabbing onto her or something.
The tail continues its sweep below her right where it left off. "Are you alright?
no subject
Or maybe he'd just be better off casting the entire incident out from mind-it does, after all, seem like the sort of thing that would be awkward to bring up in a conversation. (At least he remembered Carly's 'Wise Words' about grabbing a memory of each location where he could, given they're now being hurried back to the carnival for the last time on this particular venue.)
On the plus, he is at least containing any monstrous excitement enough that he doesn't simply scare the absolute pants off of Reira-who is currently dangling from the edge of the kaiju's face. "EH!?" Well.
This is certainly happening, she notes, feeling a little awkward between her position and all of the things now stuck in her hair. Tiny eyes watch the greimen go flying- 'aaaAAAAAA', a number cry, before landing harmlessly on a pile of their brethren- before looking back to Yuusei himself. "...Um, I'm ok-!"
no subject
Another swift wag of his tail pushes more Greimen away from himself. They feel like strange rubber dog toys, honestly-- "Need a lift back home?" he asks, his void eyes softening somewhat. "Or is there anything you need to grab before we go?"
no subject
"Mnh-I just want to go back home now..!" she insists, referring of course to the Carnival. "Let's go..!!" The Ringmaster's magic is doing good, it seems.

He pockets his dice in a spare spot in his toolbelt, and then he transfers Reira from his big claw to his smaller arms, holding her securely to his body. His slow trudging jumps up to a series of bounds now that he can use both of his larger arms.
Still, though, all of these aliens are getting annoying, and the further they descend through the ship, the harder it is for him to keep his momentum from barrelling out of control. And then he gets an idea.
"Do you get dizzy easily?"
no subject
So, perhaps not the best question? "Mnh? Dizzy..? ...why...?"
Yes. Why. Why Yuusei. Why.
no subject
Admittedly, Yuusei was planning on doing that right about now anyway, but he doesn't initiate it on his own accord, simply losing his footing with an alarmed cry and beginning to roll with some pretty impressive momentum. He very much tries to keep Reira from getting hurt somehow by holding her close to his chest and allowing his other limbs to take most of the weight to put some space between her and the ground. Like a big wheel. Yeah.
Hopefully this isn't how Jack feels whenever he crashes the Wheel of Fortune.

And now she wonders if this is what would happen if she got caught on the inside of her own noah bike. There's not much to think about however, and she's understanding why Yuusei had asked 'do you get dizzy' now. Boy, will she ever after this. Where is the gate- When will they stop being aliens-
Heck what will even happen when they stop being aliens, are they just going to collapse on each other in a mess of people and merchandise or-
"hhHHHAAAaaAAAAAAA-"
no subject
The first several seconds of this awful descent into Alien Wheel Hell™ is accompanied by a fair amount of screaming on Yuusei's end; but soon - and he's not really sure what's causing it (the adrenaline rush? the alien blood coursing through his veins?) - whatever fear he may have been experiencing is just gone, and instead he starts laughing, cackling. Nothing can stop him at this rate and he is perfectly fine with that.
"GYYAAAAHHHAAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA-!!"
When the two barrel back into the carnival grounds, they go flying, Yuusei unable to hold onto Reira like he was before and allowing them to "part ways" momentarily. The mechanic himself bounces and rolls a few more times before skidding to a stop in the grass, his reverted taur form curled up on itself and shuddering with stifled giggles as he catches his breath. His heart is still racing, and his blood feels like it's burning with pure energy. It's amazing.
It's only when he's managed to calm himself that he can try to right himself and stand, panting with a stupid grin on his face while he goes to look for Reira to make sure she's okay. He shivers with the occasional chuckle. "H-hey, are you... You alright...?"
no subject
That isn't here now, and it probably wouldn't help at all. Regardless, she bounces herself- "HFF-! OOFFF-! HFP-!" -before landing squarely on her back, numerous objects that had been stuck in her hair scattered everywhere thanks to the fact that she doesn't have nearly that much volume anymore.
Hopefully Yuusei can calm himself down from That Stuff in time to help her up, but in the meantime she grimaces, and squints up a bit. "Mngghh... ...y're all m'ssy..." she mutters, still squinting a bit.
What a mess of feelings going on there, sir. Sort yourself out.

He offers a hand to Reira, a flicker of what looks like it could be nausea crossing his face. Something feels wrong. "...really, are you okay?" He scans her up and down, still not recognising her (how could he?) but seeming awfully... Well, kind of disappointed. In himself. Because she's a child.
"........oh god I'm so sorry."
no subject
'Oops' is too light a word for this, but all dizziness aside she manages to nod. "Umnh...'s ok... ...'re you ok..?" she adds almost as an after thought, grimacing at the other. He certainly comes across as significantly 'calmer' now...
no subject
"....hohh.... ohhh no....."
He's not the type to mutter senselessly like this, but he feels he needs to say something to her but just can't. He holds his hanging, pounding head in his foreclaws.
(...which, that's a new development, really. Not that he's got the mind to pay attention right now.)
"...what did I just do.........."
no subject
"Umnhhh..." This is bad. She certainly won't say that Yuusei wasn't making a hell of a first impression (because boy howdy it sure was), but that doesn't seem like it'll...help. At all.
"...You...got me back here?"
Yay?
no subject
Right?
Maybe not as much in Yuusei's eyes, given how as soon as Reira seems steady on her feet, he lets go of her and takes a step back. He's not exactly afraid as much as he is just... struck with the full sense of horror that comes with becoming Alien Wheel Hell™ while you were supposed to be rescuing a child. A very small child.
God.
"I... ah..." He slowly raises his hands. "I'm sorry, I'm not usually... like that..."
no subject
That sure was weird now that she thinks about it. "...It's ok. ...You're not normally a big dragon thing, right?" Dragon, Kaiju, both are clearly the same, right??
no subject
"......yeah. 'Spin happy.'" Yuusei can at least argue that the alien beaning was out of necessity there were so many of them--
"Yeah, normally I'm like this." He pauses and frowns. "Er, well, even this form is new..." He can't even say it was because he tripped since he was planning on barrelling anyway. How embarrassing. "...I didn't even get your name. I'm Yuusei. I... I'm so sorry, I can help you carry some things if you need..."
no subject
What.
The heck.
"....I didn't grab a lot of that..."
Well it's theirs now, because they sure aren't going back to Return it.
no subject
...which, actually, he removes the purple set he nabbed on his way out of the spaceship while beginning to collect some of the things on the ground. Holding it where Reira can see it, he asks, "Uh, hey, I know it isn't much, but... Would you want this? I don't know if you're into those kinds of games, but some dice might be useful?" Maybe?? He's trying his best here--
no subject
"Eh?" she blinks, looking to the dice. They do look very...pretty. She will say that. "Um, you're giving them to me? ...Really?" Oh dear-it really wasn't super terrible Yuusei, it's fine...
no subject
Does this look like a man who needs three sets of dice though? He feels a little awkward doing this, though. He may have spent a fair amount of time with the twins and with Rally, but he really doesn't understand children very well. He feels like he's just being embarrassing now. "Yeah, of course. ...I won't make you take them if you don't want them, though."
no subject
There is a pause, as she stares at the ground. "....Thank you."
