THE ALIEN HORDES↴ ![]() On the morning of Day 44, things go a bit differently. The carnival opens it's doors and for an hour, things are going just fine...until the aliens attack, that is. ► ALIEN INVASION: The carnival, the athlete's village, and Olympic Spaceship will find themselves overrun by aliens: specifically, a race called the Greimen. The name's accurate: they look like stereotypical grey aliens, only 2-4 feet tall. They're invading the spaceship and the planet, trying to take control of Zargon and Olympic Spaceship for themselves. The main strength these aliens have is their numbers: there's literally thousands of them. Unfortunately for the aliens, they don't have many other strengths. They're easily punchable, kickable, ray guns permanently set to stun, and other amusing space weapons designed to minorly inconvenience people. ► FUCK THIS SHIT I'M OUT: The fighting lasts for a good half-hour or so before the Ringmaster decides no, this is dumb. Characters who aren't at the carnival will feel a compulsion to return to the carnival. Once everyone's there, the Ringmaster will magically eject the remaining aliens from carnival grounds and yank the carnival away from the Olympics themselves. ► OOC GUIDELINES: Despite the fact that this is a fight log, the carnage shouldn't be too excessive! No horribly mutilating the aliens, y'all. The aliens are only mildly better equipped than the Space Olympics themselves, so everything will be a bit comedic and light-hearted. Characters can get hurt, but the wounds should tend more towards 'amusing injuries' than 'someone losing a leg'. As the log's forward-dated, feel free to keep doing all your fun space olympics nonsense in the other logs! |

Like start kidnapping people. Yuya would like to avoid making this the third time in a row they've gone to a place and watched people get kidnapped with a result, so he's already reaching for Rita's wrist to pull her along as if he isn't still totally lost.

As they build some distance between themselves and the commotion, however, she finally comments on what just happened. "Hmph... You really believed that stuff you were saying, didn't you? About working together, and all that crap." If it was anyone else, Rita would've assumed it was all empty platitudes, but this is Yuya.

Burr he doesn't lag for long before he strides forward to catch up, closing the space easily with his longer legs.
He's no less confused, though, looking down at her when she asks him about his little speech. "Of course I do. I don't like fighting, and aren't we always more successful when we work together?"

But as stupid as Yuya's optimism is... it takes guts for a person to say what he really believes, even at gunpoint. Rita won't say it to his face, but she respects that. Better to be a sincere idiot with real convictions than a hopeless loser who changes his tune when it's convenient.

He shrugs and gives Rita a toothy grin. He's not going to stick around and see if they'll make any effort to change, but it doesn't hurtto believe they might... at the least, they're more capable of it than someone like the Prince.

"By the way, do you know how to get out of here?" Because despite having tried to take the lead, Yuya is in fact still very lost and has no idea which hallways lead back to the carnival. Especially when they're trying not to trip over small aliens or get shot.

"Come on." She takes a few forceful strides to put herself slightly ahead of him, allowing her to lead the way back to the carnival.

He looks over his shoulder once. "I hope everyone with the Olympics is going to be okay."
