What do you see? (Open)
Who: Hades & Open
When: D52
Where: Carnival Grounds
What: A god settling in. No big deal.
Warnings: Just Hades being his usual strange self.
The day feels fresh and new, though he has seen many, many days before. His shadowy wings are stretched out - as if he has just landed - and he looks around with calm curiosity. He has chosen to be here and he will be an odd sight for some time yet. Of course, he may not be a strange sight to everyone. His appearance seems to change in the eyes of others, though, at present, if one has no opinion about death, he will be a tall horned figure, covered in fur and feathers.
But his face is human enough. That is perhaps the most unnerving part of all.
He can be found, poking about, familiarizing himself with his new home. Eventually he will be standing before his trailer, wondering what it is like to live in such a contraption. Humans are such intriguing creatures - even if, in comparison to him, they are nothing more than insects.
Yet insects have life - they have value - and Hades is fond of them, alive or dead. Should anyone pass by, he will give them a small, knowing smile.
Well met.

He also looks like he was badly injured some time in the past and not given prompt and proper treatment. One half of his face seems to be shiny and stiff with scar tissue that pulls the eye on that side and the corner of his mouth in an alarming way, and an obvious prosthetic eye, all polished bare metal and glowing lights, is planted in the eyesocket. Similarly he seems to have the most robotic arm and hand she's ever seen, but after her moment of confusion about the rest of his appearance she's not sure she trusts that to be true either.
She's spent a good few seconds staring, and Scout is the sort of person who wears her heart on her sleeve, so several emotions had flicked over her face - surprise, recognition, confusion, dismay, something a little like disgust or pity, all resolving into suspicion which she then tries to smooth over, because she's definitely been noticed and that means it's time to interact. Scout squares her well-built shoulders and approaches, bronze hoof-claws gleaming dully.
"Hi. Sorry for staring. You're new, right?"

"I am." his voice may sound coarse to her ears - a sign of a man who has seen and endured nightmares beyond counting. His movements additionally will seem halted, though there is something like amusement curving his scarred lips.
"Are you here to greet me?"
After centuries upon centuries upon centuries of greeting the dead to their new home, Hades now finds himself in that position. How quaint!
