Who: The Blue Exorcist crew and anyone else who might be in the med tent. Like Herbert maybe.
When: Day 59 — after the Elysium
Where: Med Tent
What: Shiemi has arrived in the Carnival, and Rin runs to make sure she is safe. Turns out just about everyone else has done the same. MEGATHREAD GO!

[Rin only has to hear that Shiemi was in the carnival to get motivated. Sure, he’d just woken up from his forced nap after unceremoniously passing out due to exertion. Sure, he’d just been sassing the Rose Queen just a few hours ago. He’s still fairly tired, but he has to see her. He has to make sure she’s alright.

He runs into the tent, throwing open the flaps and calling out]

Shiemi!! Shiemi, are you here?!

[in his rush, he completely forgets who else might be at the med tent]

( she's seated when he enters the tent, hands in her lap and brows furrowed together. shiemi is still trying to make sense of the things she has learned, wrap her head around everything she has been told and not appear too freaked out.

when someone runs into the tents, she thinks it is someone hurt or someone that needs help but is surprised to see (despite all the changes) that it's rin. after all, she can't mistake that voice for anyone else. )

Rin! ( she's up from her seat without a second thought, hurrying over and throwing her arms around him in a much needed hug. )

[Had been taking a rest as well when Rin had come around enough to check in with Gongenzaka, before suddenly bolting, yelling about Shiemi. He follows at a much more sedate pace, poking his head into the tent to see who all is around.]

Whoa, you're really here Moriyama-san!

Everybody~ [He waves to the rest cheerily, as if he hadn't just been caught in an incident involving five hostile, unfathomably powerful beings.]

[blushfully]

Shima-kun! Are you okay? Kirigakure-san said you were trapped somewhere.

( because she's still working her head around everything but she still has to check on her friends, right? )

Eh-heh, you're worried? [He might have been expecting her to be a little colder to him, considering that last he remembers he'd dragged Yukio off on an Illuminati helicopter... He knows timelines can be a little wonky though so if she's not mad yet he's not going to point it out.]

I'm not injured though! Apparently the point of the trap was ta have a no-violence zone. Ah.. or a some-violence zone I guess, but I didn't get attacked...

[reflash]

[Yukio is busy. He's always busy, of course, but he's been busier than usual with the influx of injured Carnival workers. Thankfully most of the injuries aren't serious, but there's enough to keep him busy between treating burns, pulling out thorns, and then updating the med tent's inventory list.

Not too busy to talk to Shiemi though. Not too busy to apologize.

But that was hours ago, and when Rin comes crashing through the door Yukio is at his desk, copying out a passage of scripture for his Aria training. His initial concern is almost instantly replaced by a very familiar Rin-centric annoyance, but he waits to talk to his brother (and Shima) until after they've had a chance to talk to Shiemi.]

Of course I am! ( even if she was mad, she's not so terrible as to deny someone help if needed. besides, they're a long way from home with even biggest things to worry about. )

That's good to hear but if you do need anything then Nee-chan and I are here to help. They assigned me to be a nurse here, so I'm trying to help as best I can even though everything is really new and confusing.

--Oh, though it's kinda surprising you're here! I thought the Ringmaster was only taking willing contracts now, don't tell me ya volunteered?

[He says that so naturally it could be honest curiosity.]

( she gives him a laugh at his compliment, and continuing still to smile even when the big elephant in the room is mentioned and her presence her is (rightfully) questioned. )

Although I'm no longer going to become an exorcist, I said I would always support all of you. I really did mean that.

( talk about awkward. crying aside, she's just glad she was able to apologize to yukio for what happened at her home even if he seemed taken aback by the idea of her needing to apologize. it was good though, shiemi decides. to have that dark cloud hanging over them out of the way... )

Yuki-chan? ( it still feels a little awkward in some ways though only because she doesn't want to press him, or step on any toes. but they're friends, and she won't ever run away from him. ) Can I help you with anything?

[Rin is Rin! Even with his short little snout and dragon-like legs, he's undoubtedly himself.

Ah!! A HUG! A SHIEMI HUG! Rin immediately turns bright red. It takes him a moment, but then he returns the hug with a bright smile]

Ahh, it is you!! You're really here!

[flashover]

[you'll have to move fast, Yukio, because once Rin is done talking to Shiemi and making sure Shima is ok after his summoning exertion, he's going to make a beeline for the exit.

Because this is the med tent. And Yukio was always in the med tent.

The sting of their last encounter has been dulled by time, but Rin doesn't even know what he would say to his brother. Maybe something about that weird book he found...? ... Nah. Better just to not talk at all.]

[reflash]

[He's moving fast but that doesn't mean that he knows what he's doing.]

Nii-san.

[Yukio's breaking out the lecturing voice, the one loud enough to stop Rin in place, or make it obvious that Rin is running away.]

[flashover]

[Rin stops, and flinches; his tail goes stiff and the fur frizzes a bit.

He stands near the exit of the tent, saying nothing and facing away from Yukio]

[reflash]

Where are you going? [Yukio's tone hasn't changed to anything more friendly, and his expression doesn't seem to indicate any possibility that this is going to be a friendly chat. More "Okumura-sensei" than "Yukio".]

[flashover]

[Rin remains stiff and doesn't turn to face his brother, but he grabs the tent flap in his hand and balls it into a fist, pulling it taut]

To the cookhouse, probably. People are hungry. I have a job to do.

Of course I am! Who else would it be? ( you shouldn't even be here Shiemi, but details... )

Are you okay? They said you were stuck somewhere strange?

[blushfully]

The coolest! ( you know, the power of FRIENDSHIP. )

You don't have to worry about me though, Shima-kun. I won't slow any of you down, I promise.

[Studies her a little more closely for a moment when she avoids giving a full answer.]

I wonder when ya picked up a habit like that...? [It's almost a rhetorical question, said mostly for himself, since he doesn't try to elaborate either. Well, maybe he just hadn't noticed that sort of thing before. He's had his hands full enough trying to keep tabs on Yukio after all.]

[flashover]

I! Well... of course you're you! I'm just amazed you're here... What... what did you ask for from the Ringmaster? [he sputters and breaks off the hug so he can wave his arms wildly] I-i-if it's not too personal!!

... ah, yeah! Shima and I got stuck in the Count of Crow's uh... whatwasitcalled... Elysium? Elysium! It was like a meeting where no one could attack each other.

[reflash]

Are you all right? [He means physically.]

[flashover]

I'm fine.

[physically, at least]

Not right now, thank you. Did you have enough time to check in with Shima and my brother? [Yukio... has not checked in with Rin yet, and he needs to do that once his brother's done with Shima.]
