[CLOSED] Froggie went a courtin' and he did ride uh huh!
Who: Psionic and Gottlieb
What: A date!
When: S1:D16, after closing
Where: Psi's trailer
Warnings: Dog Marriage Nothing! ... yet.
Some people would not have taken such an offer seriously. They would have laughed it off as an obvious refusal of their (admittedly very forward) affections and gone about their merry way.
Gottlieb was not one of those people, and not just because he wasn't really a 'people' anymore.
No, he had wasted very little time in following up with the troll on when they might have the date he'd been offered. In fact, the very next time he saw him he'd cheerfully brought up the matter, and much to his delight and arrangement had been made. They would get together after show hours, and... well. Beyond that, he wasn't quite sure! Truth be told, he hadn't enjoyed company of this particular sort since his time as a human, and he knew things had to have changed a bit since then. Not to mention, his new handsome acquaintance wasn't human himself!
As the promised meeting time approaches he nears the trailer door, wildflowers he'd gathered clutched in one hand as the other goes to knock. He's not really nervous, at all -- just incredibly excited, beaming from ear to ear as he hums a cheerful tune to himself.

"Well, a date usually includes dinner. But, if you're not hungry we could probably go one one of the rides just the two of us."
He squeezes Gottlieb's hand to get his attention, and then gives him a flirtatious look.
"I hear the Ferris Wheel can be pretty romantic."
no subject
But, the troll has him conflicted. Romantic is such a nice word. It brings little flowers to bloom in Gottlieb's mind's eye, and gives him a warm, pleasant feeling. Like a nip of gin, he feels he's gained some courage from that lovely word.
"The Ferris Wheel it is, then!" he manages to squeak out, moving to lead the way before Psionic catches on to his anxiety.
no subject
"You're cute." he says, smiling, "Thank you for taking me out."
no subject
But he can't. He's pretty light on his feet though, and when they arrive he'll open the door to allow Psionic to slip in first.
"After you, my dear."
no subject
"Whenever you're ready." He'll be the one operating the wheel, of course. It's nothing more than the twist of a key and the pull of a lever with his psionics to start. There's a dim purple glow on he focuses on it, before slowly the ride begins to move.
"I don't even remember the last time I actually rode this thing." After all, when you could fly the thrill of being 'up high' stopped being quiet as thrilling.
no subject
"Was ... are you a warlock?!"
Really, he'd never met a warlock. Only witches. But he knew they existed in his world, so it's a logical conclusion to leap to for him.
no subject
"No! That was just telekinesis." At least, he assumes that's what prompted the strange question.
no subject
It was always a little embarrassing when he was presented with a word he didn't know, but he seemed comfortable enough with Psi to think he wouldn't tease him too terribly about his ignorance.
no subject
"It's similar, but magic is because of outside power and psychic powers are just because of your brain."
Honestly, it was such a familiar thing to him he probably wasn't the best person to explain it, but he would try anyway.
"If I focus I can move things."
He shrugs, EASY PEASY. As they talk the ferris wheel keeps turning, slowly and stopping for just a moment every few seconds or so. They're already halfway up.
no subject
"Your brain produces magic? How very incredible! You are truly a wondrous being, Sir Psionic."
no subject
"I am pretty great, but you don't have to call me Sir. Not unless your into that kind of thing anyway."
no subject
Yes, the 'into that kind of thing' is going to fly right over his wigged head. He finally realizes how high they've gone, and a surprised gasp escapes his throat. Without thinking about it, he moves to cling against Psi, maybe trembling ever so slightly.
no subject
"Walking on air isn't so dangerous when you're with me."
no subject
"What a chivalrous gentleman. I feel quite secure in your company."
His previous fear has once again been quelled as he enjoys the affectionate attention. Perhaps being stuck here for awhile wasn't so bad.

Old fashioned he may be in many aspects, but it's clear that Gottlieb has had his fair share of smooching sessions. It's been awhile since the last one, but it must be like riding a bicycle.
Or, in his case, a horse.

"Mm, it feels so nice after so much time. Thank you for sharing it with me, Psionic."
When was his last kiss? It would have been when he was still human. Before he was sent away from Vienna. Perhaps in the back of a tavern under the cover of a table. You couldn't linger very long, so they tended to be quite quick and desperate. But here... there was nobody to hide from. They had plenty of time. It was a wonderful feeling.

In the heat of the moment it was pretty easy not to think about something so trivial as titles and hatch names. Sometimes though, the heat of the moment just wasn't heated enough. He doesn't want Gottlieb to think he's made a faux paus, because he hasn't, but it's hard not to hear his title in a moment like this and not think of home. The stars around them are bigger and brighter than they've ever been. They just make Psi think of the things he'd rather not return to and the people he feels he's betrayed by staying here.
He pushes the thought from his mind, forcing himself to focus on the here and now. His hand finds it's way to Gottlieb's thigh, and he grips it gently.
"We could share a lot more. If you wanted."
no subject
Then, the grip to his thigh happens. It sends a quiver of excitement up his body, and he swoons so hard he's worried for a second he may pass out.
"I... I would be most honored." he says when he finds his voice.
There was no need, he thought, for the other to know just how much new ground would be broken if he was implying what he suspected he might me.
no subject
"Well then, what are we waiting for?" He asks, grinning wide as he lifts the safety bar from in front of them. The ride car shakes as he stands abruptly, holding out his hand for Gottlieb.

"Y-you've certainly given this old heart a thrill."
no subject
"Sorry, but I wouldn't let you fall. So don't worry."
no subject
He'll lean forward to plant another kiss, although the racing heart is probably able to be felt with them pressed together.
