When: Day 115
Where: Polaris
What: On the morning of day 115, a couple hours before the technicians would come to pick up the test subjects, the escape plan will officially come into effect. If your character has been left out of the loop up till this point, feel free that someone hastily explains the plan during the initial phase! The meat of everything else will be played out via megathreads and any private toplevels people want to make.
Warnings: Probably violence.

PEER REVIEW↴ The plan starts with getting everyone out of their cells. Childermass is going to be using his Gilded Mark to enhance his shadow movement abilities, unabling him to teleport himself and other people out of containment. If your character has other ways of escaping they are free to pursue that, but on a base level, it can be assumed that everyone gets out thanks to Childermass. (Thanks Childermass!) Once everyone has been removed from their cells by some means or another, they will be forced to split into teams as swiftly as possible, as the moment people start breaking out, negative attention from the staff will start building. The area is poorly guarded at first, but as people become aware of the breakout, more will arrive. Gild, speaking on behalf of her inside plant, will say that those that 1) want to get their stuff back, 2) want to find Ignatius, should get the assistance of their allied Deltas to access sector A5. From there, they will have to access Polaris's storage in A3, a neighbouring sector, and find access to C2, the station where Ignatius is being held. They should expect to be met with armed resistance, but with any luck allies will be there to assist them. In general, characters will be most effective if they back one of these major objectives: ► TEAM LOOT: This team is trying to get back the items and pets that were confiscated when the group was brought into Polaris. Their objective, according to their allies on the inside, is to get to A5, and then make their way to A3. The important thing is being able to locate their stuff among a sea of other items, and to make it through security in order to reclaim it. Gild's plant has said that they will assist with this. After getting these items, Team Loot may wish to merge with Team Rescue. ► TEAM RESCUE: This team's primary focus is to get to A5 and then make their way to C2. If desired, they may wait for or join with Team Loot, or they may strike out ahead in order to take advantage of the element of surprise. The key factors are obtaining a way to access C2, as well as being prepared for armed conflict with the technicians guarding it, as well as possibly the Mother of Invention herself. Though, the ideal is that Gild will be distracting here at that time. ► TEAM DISTRACTION: This team can do their thing wherever they please, as their main intent is to sew general discord and distract the staff from the teams doing more important things. They should be prepared for armed resistance, but what tactics they pursue beyond that point are highly variable. ► TEAM FORTRESS: This team is attempting to set up a protective base of operations in the original sector in order to survive the conflict and protect their noncombatant comrades. How they accomplish this is also highly variable. Other objectives may exist, of course, and can be made with their own separate top levels. Chunks of these megathreads will have to be played out in summary form, so when characters are simply trying to get from place to place and specifics aren't necessary, feel free to stick to that format. Assume that everyone is already out of their cells for the purpose of the megathreads. Here is a shitty map of how the sectors connect, from a side view of the central Polaris hub.

It is, of course, Marishi who speaks first. The others are more...asleep. Marishi- while in a sort of airy mood speaking of the subconscious- is the one cracking her eyes open.

"...Long time no see," she purrs, moving a bit closer. "...How injured are you? ...We didn't want to cause any pain with unexpected pressure."

"Marishi," he smiles a little wider, briefly, before he brings up his injury.

"It's... bad." He winces a little. "But I'm not dying? I... I think they would have said something if I was."

And then his gaze flicks back to Gongenzaka. "What about you?"

[betheman]

There is a light grimace. But...She does nod. "I wish I could say Noboru could help with that...but sadly we're limited to poisons," she hums gently. Ah.

As it is. "...Aches and pains," she notes idly. "...Our injuries are largely spiritual, rather than physical....I'm not certain I should be out in fact," the cheetah chuckles, gently rubbing against the other's cheek. "...But it's been a while since I could be out like this, after all. And he wanted to make sure he didn't miss you waking."

This counts.

"It's okay. They're taking care of me." At least Herbert and Steven are a good medical team, and Yukio when he isn't staving off his own injuries.

The most he can do when she nuzzles against him is tilts his head towards hers. It'll have to do. "How long have I been out...?"

"Mmm...not too long..." She yawns, rolling onto her back. "...Long enough for Noboru to doze off certainly...but if he had fallen entirely asleep I'd be gone. It's enough that he's getting some rest though, which we need..." She seems to be giving Yuuya a look of amusement as she says that- you're included in 'we', apparently.

Yeah... but consider: he doesn't want to. He should rest, and he should be leaving Gongenzaka to rest.

"Can you wake him up?" But he doesn't want to. It's a slightly childish feeling, and normally he might be ashamed. Right now, though, he thinks he's going to be a little careless.

[betheman]

"Ooof! So cold. What's the matter with my half of existence then?" she jokes, flicking her tail. "Am I too blue for you, is that it?"

She knows exactly what she's saying, of course. She always does, and there's even a snuffing sort of 'laugh' mid-sleep from Gongenzaka himself.

Yuya laughs. "No, no! I don't want you to go away Marishi."

After all, Gongenzaka has her around when he's awake plenty of times too.

[betheman]

Her response is the equivalent of a blep. Or maybe she's honestly sticking her tongue out. Probably that one.

Though it does sound as if Gongenzaka may, in fact, be stirring.

Yuya sticks his tongue out right back at her, though his attention shifts a little as Gongenzaka stirs.

"Gongenzaka." He's probably listening, through Marishi if nothing else.

[betheman]

"Nnnnhhmn..." He is- somehow, anyway. Most of his 'injury' is manifesting in the form of Exhaustion. Perhaps some shaky emotions, but he's doing a good job on keeping that under control. Mental restraint is a skill for Gongenzaka, after all...

And besides. If he held out this long, he can hold out until it's really over, he thinks. Gongenzaka's eyes crack open just a little bit, and he shifts just barely. "....Yuuya..." he mutters in his half-wakeful state, not quite aware of the world yet.

"Morning." Is it still morning? It's probably not morning. Close enough.

Yuya reaches for Gongenzaka with his good hand, which ends up just being an awkward fumble and grasping shortly at fur. But he can't really roll over for a better angle.

[betheman]

Fortunately, Gongenzaka can. He can roll over very easily, and even stretches a bit as he does so- at least until his face is near Yuuya's own. "Mnh...it is still morning, yes..." he mumbles idly, his daemon merely chuckling hoarsely.

"...I, the man Gongenzaka, wonder if the morning will ever end..."

"Maybe if we had a clock..." Telling time in Polaris has been really difficult.

He tilts his head until his nose brushes against Gongenzaka's, and then he wrinkles it a little. "Maybe it can last a little longer... it isn't as bad as it started."

[betheman]

There is a somewhat weak nuzzle back, as the other snorts. "Hn..! I, the man Gongenzaka, should think it just better to rest through an afternoon in that case then... ...though perhaps for your sake, we could ignore any clocks found..?"

"You won't even let me try to get up anyway, will you?" Most people won't because he got shattered by a giant mechanical arm.

He's not too mad about it. Good luck keeping jim down more than a day, though.

"You were helping Peridot, right?"

[betheman]

"Oohh, not for a good hour, I don't think..." murmurs Marishi, though her awareness seems to perk up a little with Yuuya's question. Gongenzaka blinks a few times, lifting his head.

"Mnh- Auh, yes...it is...not something I am completely familiar with, but..."

"It certainly ended well, despite...damages..."

"So you'll let me go in an hour?" Yuya grins wider.

This was probably not what Marishi meant or what Yuya should be focusing on, but he heard a thing and he's running with it.

[betheman]

Well that brings a roaring laugh from the cat- not quite so for Gon, who sounds more like he's coughing or sneezing. "Th- That... ...That is up to the doctor to determine I should think..!" he wheezes, draping his furry arm over the other for a loose sort of hug. "You are here for a reason, aah?"

Yuya breaks out into a laugh as well, until it makes him twitch too hard and he pulls his wounds and ow, ow.

He chokes it back down, putting his uninjured hand over Gongenzaka's and threading their fingers together. "Guess so. Maybe if you're carrying me it'll still count as resting?"

That will absolutely not count as resting.

[betheman]

"Hn! Absolutely not," he huffs, rubbing a thumb over the other's hand. "It would jostle you far too much- especially with my plants as they are. They still have yet to fully grow back, after all." Less vines for securing, less plants for comfort...

[hippocarnival]

"I saw that..." Yuya's expression pinches with worry, tilting his head as if that'll give him a better view of his back. Not so, given the angle.

"Are they growing back?" That's like losing a bunch of hair, right? Maybe not totally painful, but still really alarming.

[betheman]

"Auuh, slowly..." He murmurs. By this point, Gongenzaka moves to sit a little less sprawled and sleepy-like, though he keeps holding the other's hand.

"If I, the man Gongenzaka, still had my scroll perhaps it would help...for now however, it is but a matter of time."

These hands are permanently attached now.

He'd recommend Steven, but everyone in peril again means he's probably already working hard on the actual injuries like Yuya's. Maybe another time. He hums with agreement, letting out a weary sigh.

"I'm glad they didn't force you into any trials in the end."

[betheman]

His expression tightens painfully at that- for a moment. He reels himself in quickly, even if his voice cracks at the start. "A...aauh, in..indeed they did not," he manages. "...It is... ...it was fortunate," he continues. "...if a trial had come, it could have thrown certain parts of the planning off, hnn?"
