► WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS: It's fairly common knowledge that October is a special month - Halloween has always been an excitable time in the supernatural community, because its during this month that the magical energies of Earth seem to disproportionately swell in power. This peeks on the 31st, and has every year for as long as anyone can remember. The holiday of Halloween is a byproduct of this, because the magical phenomenon has gone on for ages past. It's also a pretty common time for wizards to attempt bullshit shenanigans, and also when the Severing first came into effect.

► TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL: Towards the end of the week, Prudence Jaeger will be asking her angelic contacts for a pretty huge favour - she wants them to help her and some of her associates break into the Circle stronghold that the visiting Council members are staying at. It seems that they have some kind of macguffin item that will be needed to crack the barrier cutting off the Earth from the cosmos - and, to that end, allow the angels and mysterious outsiders to return to wherever they call home.

► THE PATH TO HELL: Perhaps unsurprisingly, Team Heaven isn't the only group to clue into the fact that the Circle has what they need. On the same night that the angels go in, so will Anath's army, as the arch demon finally arrives in the city just in time to join the party. Whether the angels and demons fight each other all the way or cooperate to achieve a mutual goal is up to them.

► WITH GOOD INTENTIONS: The Circle and Torchlight aren't all bad, okay? It's entirely possible that they are just acting in the best interest of humanity - unfortunately, that has resulted in them being pretty massive pricks recently, and now the payback for that is arriving on their doorstep. If you're a member of the Circle, you may or may not realize that anything is coming in time for you to prepare. (That will depend on your threads up to the end of the week.) However, once the fight starts, you'll be charge with defending the Councillors whether you like it or not, and Torchlight is getting pulled in as an unexpected ally to ensure their safety as well. Are you going to heed their call? Or is it time to split from the pack?

► BLOOD OF ICE AND FIRE: It's been made no secret that the Rose Queen isn't the only fae trying to pull back her lost changelings - now the Winter Court appears to be doing it, as well. More than a handful of changelings have gone missing over the last couple weeks, lost to both the thorns and agents of the Count. Whatever they're doing, it's also in competition with each other - Winter and Summer will be biting at each other's heels far more than normal, to the degree that it becomes clear they must have some competing objective in mind. Unfortunately for everyone else, that objective happens to conflict with the desires of just about everyone else. Fae are, by nature, opportunists.

These are the major conflicts that will be coming to a head towards the end of Week 3. In the meantime, your actions will decide how certain elements are set up, and what the likelihood of success is for each group.

Dice rolling handily won the opinion poll where we asked for the preferred method of conflict resolution, so that will be coming into effect a bit later on to determine who actually wins and loses, with advantages based on the choices made.

Around Portland - OTA (Oct. 15th-16th)

He’s got to find Steven.

That’s the main thought on his mind as he makes his way around the city. But, at the moment, he’s got no leads and no idea how to get any. So his best bet for the time may be to just keep an eye and an ear out and see what he can pick up on.

Of course, normally the tea shop would be a great place to listen and see what he can hear, but, uh. He guesses it shouldn’t be too surprising that, upon walking in for the first time in several days, he’s quickly informed that he no longer works here.

Which… he’s not gonna lie, that kind of sucks, and more stress is the last thing he needs right now.

All the same, he keeps coming back to the park by that shop - maybe it’s just out of habit, but, as he wanders through the city with Miu, his route seems to keep taking him there. So, each time, he’ll stop and rest on a bench for a few minutes, scooping his guinea pig into his lap as he watches the people around him in silence.

Is This Dating - closed to Psi

It’s been a good ten years - maybe more - since Ginko has actually lived indoors. It feels strange to accept Psi’s offer, but… in a good way. Especially considering what else they talked about when Psi first suggested that Ginko stay with him.

So, not long after it becomes clear that staying at the Sanctuary won’t get him anywhere, Ginko heads back to Psi’s apartment.

((OOC: Let me know if there’s something else you want to do! Ginko will be acting a little odd in the days leading up to the 17th and I’m definitely up for threads addressing that, though the actual conclusion is already planned.))

It was more than nice having Ginko stay with him. It was amazing. Since Sans had moved out he'd only felt lonely, bored, and frustrated in his apartment. Even with Miu and Slimey both under his car, more often than not the empty apartment only compounded his feelings of guilt and loneliness. Now things were different. He wasn't alone, and not only that, but Ginko was safe. It was weird having him back so suddenly after worrying about him, but the demon didn't complain. He was just happy to have someone he cared about, and someone who cared about him back in his life again.

It was probably kind of weird, and maybe even a bit annoying, but the first day Ginko stays with him the demon just follows him around from room to room. He still can't believe someone is living with him again, especially after what happened with Sans. It's more than simple disbelief though. He just wants to be with his friend, and after thinking he'd never see Ginko again he wants to spend as much time with him as he can. Just to make sure everything was okay. At some point he realizes he can like, hold Ginko's hand if he wants to, and after the conversation they'd had, he doesn't think it's too out of line. So, casually (super casually) while maybe blushing the tiniest bit (he's bright red) he reaches over all sauve like to hold Ginko's hand in his own. So sauve.

Ginko certainly doesn't mind Psi following him around - in fact, he could use the company, given his mental state. He can hardly keep himself from pacing the apartment for even a few minutes at a time, wound up and worrying. But... it's not quite as bad with Psi nearby.

Of course, it still comes as a surprise when Psi takes his hand - but it's a good kind of surprise. Like Psi's response when Ginko had first confessed his feelings all over again. Ginko stops where he is, blinking, and looks down at their hands.

His face is... definitely also turning red. He gives a quiet, slightly embarrassed laugh, and looks up again at Psi with a smile. "Ah... hey. Something up?"

He shrugs one shoulder. He feels kind of embarrassed, but still happy. You'd think he'd be used to this considering how many random people he made out with on a regular basis, but holding hands wasn't making out and Ginko wasn't some rando.

"You seem... anxious." He says glancing away briefly. It was true too. The demon wasn't the best at reading people, but pacing was a pretty clear indication of anxious energy in anyone. He looks back to Ginko, smiling weakly. "And I kind of just wanted to do it... Is that alright?"

...Ah. Well, he guesses he could be doing better at hiding his nerves. He gives a quiet hum, glancing away sheepishly for a moment.

Of course, the last thing he wants is to give the impression that he doesn't want Psi holding his hand. So he nods, that smile creeping onto his face again. "That's absolutely fine. I... I appreciate it, actually."

For some reason, Ginko looking slightly embarrassed but smiling at him like that was absolutely adorable. The demon is convinced in that moment that holding Ginko's hand was absolutely the right move to make and also that ideally he should do it all the time. It was nice to see Ginko smiling, it was much better than watching him worry or (as happened on occasion) getting scolded by the changling, though that hadn't happened in a while (thank Satan). He gives Ginko's hand a squeeze, smiling a bit wider as he watches him.

"Hey. You want to go out somewhere? Just to get your mind off things?" He didn't have a ton of food in the apartment since he'd spent most of the past week being lonely and depressed. Also, the thought of taking Ginko out somewhere was really appealing. He found just the idea of making the other man happy made him feel really excited. After everything that had happened it only made sense to try and give Ginko a little special treatment.

"Go out?" His first thought is like on a date, but, uh. Asking that out loud sounds like a good way to make himself sound like a lovestruck teenager trying to figure out how to handle his first relationship. Which he isn't, of course! He's a lovestruck 24-year-old trying to figure out how to handle his second relationship. Huge difference.

Either way, he doesn't hesitate long before nodding. "Uh... yeah, sure! Did you have anywhere in mind?"

"Hey!" Yuya approaches Ginko with a grin, looking equally winded but probably a lot happier.

He recognizes him from the Sanctuary. Even if they didn't find his friends... well, he's glad he got out of there and kept safe. "What's up... is that your pet?"

He points at the guinea pig.

"--Oh. Uh, hey." Honestly, being approached at all catches Ginko sort of off-guard, more so than usual. At least he recovers pretty quickly.

He glances down at Miu and nods, rubbing at her fuzzy chin with one finger. "Yeah; her name's Miu."

"Hi Miu!" He slips his phone into his pocket and leans over to smile at the guinea pig.

"I'm glad you're okay. Things have been really crazy lately," he says to Ginko with only a brief look up.

She blinks up at him, apparently not too bothered to have a stranger nearby. Honestly, Ginko is still pretty relieved to have ended up with a pet who can stay so calm around people.

"I could say the same to you. I take it you got out of the Sanctuary alright?"

Yuya nods. "I was okay! Sorry I couldn't help you fond your friends, though," he says with a frown. "Were they all right?"

Ginko hesitates for a moment, his gaze drifting away. He shrugs.

"I'm... not sure. I didn't see what happened to them." After a moment, he adds, "Thanks you, though. For trying to help."
