With the threat of behave or die hanging over their heads, Hinawa is feeling very nervous. She's only tangentially familiar with the rules and regulations of formal dining and mingling, having only experienced it for the first time during the Celebration, and for the most part she's just a simple country gal. The last thing she wants is to get everyone in trouble because she used the wrong fork, and she can't help but feel like she's not the only one, so she comes up with a plan!

She only hopes it'll be enough.

Ginko did that... thing where he didn't laugh, exactly, but did make a noise that could be mistaken for a laugh if someone wanted to interpret it that way.

"Guess the kinds of people who end up working for fae carnivals don't tend to be masters of etiquette, huh. Who would've thought."

Which may not be reassuring, precisely, but Zecora was not particularly inclined to take the Ringmaster's notable concern as evidence that this was their worst doom yet.

"Yeah, that's... part of what worries me." Definitely not reassuring. "If she's already this on-edge, it seems safest to assume that this is going to be pretty dangerous."

At least usually they can deal with danger in ways other than "try to be polite all the time".

Matrix. Portland (what even was that?). The pleasure dimension. The vampire mess. Others. Zecora almost thought that the Ringmaster worrying was a sign everything would be okay.

"So... your reasoning here is that, if she thinks it's dangerous, it must be safe."

He guesses he can kind of see the reasoning there, but... he sighs and shakes his head. "I don't know. I'd love to think of it that way, but I'm not sure I can be that optimistic."

"We can't run or hide,
So we must take it in stride," Zecora responded with a shrug.
"Don't anticipate
A horrible fate.
Best try to have fun
And hope it is soon done."

What else could they do? They were totally stuck, after all.

Ginko makes a face and presses the heels of his palms over his eyes. "Mm. 'Try' being the operative word here."

Sorry, but literally nothing about this sounds like fun to him.

She can totally understand that, but the counterargument boils down to 'well, what else can you do?'

"Well you could always see
If you could flood the place with mushi," she said with a sly little smile.

Okay, well, now he moved his hands enough to give her a look. “I’ll just hope we won’t be there long enough for that to happen, actually. ...Do you think mushi can even get into this place?”
