With the threat of behave or die hanging over their heads, Hinawa is feeling very nervous. She's only tangentially familiar with the rules and regulations of formal dining and mingling, having only experienced it for the first time during the Celebration, and for the most part she's just a simple country gal. The last thing she wants is to get everyone in trouble because she used the wrong fork, and she can't help but feel like she's not the only one, so she comes up with a plan!

She only hopes it'll be enough.

"It's no problem~! Ah- actually..." Now that she looks and observes the other, something else 'fashion' related comes to mind. She taps her chin a bit, humming to herself. "Mhmmmm... ...'Nines'..?" she starts, trying the nickname. "...Where are you going to put your visor while we're there..? Lambert probably wants you to do a few things for the scouts...right?"

"I'll tie it somewhere." 9S makes a Face. "Strange ordered me not to wear it over my eyes, so I won't."

He's not leaving it behind, though.

"I can still do my job without it, don't worry."

In fact, he has to not use it, thanks to everyone else being organic and unable to receive the data he could otherwise simply transmit.

"Well! Actually, I was going to recommend tying it like a tie!" she explains, beaming almost proudly at the idea she had. "It could be right there, ready for you to pull up that way!"

Ummm...

"What's a tie?"

Since it sounds like she will probably want to demonstrate, 9S unties the 'blindfold' from his face and holds it out with one hand.

"A tie is something that goes around your neck," she explains simply, "But with fabric of this cut...we'd want to tie it this way," she demonstrates, carefully doing just that around his neck if he allows her.

"...It'll match well with whatever you're wearing, that way; hidden in plain sight."

9S certainly allows her to tie the... tie.

It looks annoying.

"Hm. I'll give it a try."

He pulls it undone and tries to recreate what Carly did. He does the steps correctly, but it comes out looking crooked and not at all neat. He futilely tries to neaten it, but nope.

"Hmmmm.... Here, hang on..." One pat there, another pat there....and the tie is Properly In Place. "There~! We'll probably be helped by servants, so you can just tell them that you brought your own, 'very special' tie, and would like them to help with it, worst case...."

Hmm... let him think about that... Nah.

"I'll keep that in mind."

In other words, nope. A tie just doesn't seem to be his style.

Well then... "I think that's it." Scabbard, get. Visor tied. Yep. "So I'll get going. Thanks again, Carly."

"No problem~" Carly replies, nodding furiously. At least something seems to have gone right today then....with a slightly worried smile, and a bit of a wave, the woman thus sees him off. "Good luck with whatever Lambert has you doing, too! I don't think the other departments will really need you while we're there, but this feels like something he'd have the scouts all over, right now..."

It's a somewhat chilling 'good luck'...but 9S will probably be fine.

...Probably.

He's a little touched at the concern. Though he doesn't think he'll need it.

"Oh, don't worry about me." 9S grins, his voice taking on a cocky lilt. "I'm a Scanner. I'm built for scouting. You worry more about yourself, Carly. I'll be fine."

And with that, 9S heads on out.
