Fever in the Morning ++ OPEN
Who: Doll and you!
When: S2:D11-D22
Where: Around the carnival
What: Where has Doll been while all this Harbinger/Guardian craziness has been happening? Bedridden at the carnival. Which one of you passed her the mono, hmm?
Warnings: Sniffles, adorable sick thing, potentially contagious.
[Uh, Medic? - Backdated S2:D11]
[Sometime soon after Performance Week, Doll starts looking a little pale and feeling a little off. Of course it's probably nothing-- she's tired, she's been working on new routines, not sleeping as well as she did in a comfy bed on the moon. There are so many reasons she could be feeling off.]
[After her last performance, she sets to cleaning and organizing the makeup in the dressing areas. She finds herself trying to hurry because she's so tired that she just wants to get back to her trailer and go to sleep. Maybe she pushed herself too hard on the rope tonight, because she's never felt this warm after a performance. She's never had double vision after a performance either. Forget the makeup, she needs some air.]
[Doll wobbles outside and tries to sit on one of the nearby storage crates-- but misses and falls over. It's a short trip to the ground and she's not hurt, but wow she's dizzy and her limbs feel like solid weights. Is somebody going to find her like this?]
[Should be in Bed]
[Once Doll realized she was sick and wouldn't be able to hang around Wismuth as much as she'd like, she'd dutifully retired to bed in her and Joker's trailer. And for the most part, she's got everything she needs in there-- except for food. Wrapped in a blanket and determined to be at least a little self-sufficient, Doll shuffles across the grounds heading for the mess hall. It's slow going and she's not exactly keeping a low profile here, but how else is she supposed to get fed?]
[WHAT'S Going on Over There?!]
[Is there some ruckus made after something's gone south in Wismuth? Doll's regular sleep cycle is all kinds of ridiculous from doing nothing but sleeping, so anytime of the day or night if there's somebody making noise outside her curiosity will get the best of her. She'll wrap herself in her trusty blanket, put on her slippers and shuffle out of the trailer to see what's going on.]
Oi-- [And she coughs, her throat not used to doing much talking yet.] What's goin' on?
((OOC Note: The last two prompts can happen any old time, she's kicking around the carnival while plot things happen, feel free to date any interaction whenever! :3b))

Nothing is going on 8T Go back to bed - Day 17
[He had caught word of her sickness a few days ago but with a lot going on he hadn't the time to come check on her. He had done a headcount at one point of all those that meant a damn to him and when he had poked his Tease in from under the door, it could confirm she was still there and sleeping her sickness away.
Now that she was out of her and Joker's trailer, with that dreadful coughing going on, Tyki didn't even ask permission to touch her as the edge of his arm settled on her back to scoot her back towards that trailer.] But if you must know, I'll explain once you are back in bed.
[He will drag her back to bed even if he has to scoop her up. It will be a bit difficult given there is a bag slung over his arm and a bowl rested in one hand. His other hand is hidden partially in his pocket as the corner of his arm butts against her back.]

Where is everybody? It's right quiet 'round here as of late.

Wismuth. There is a woman by the name of Noa that approached the Ringmaster for assistance. I am not sure if you heard that radio call but several volunteered to help her and others got mixed up in her affairs. Another woman, a singer, named CY-Ren was the target with her concert being something they wanted to cancel. She's a dangerous lady with creatures from this 'Void' that posed a danger. We now know that if she has her way it could result in the end of the world. Not just this one but ours, yours and mine.
They failed to stop her, her song enchanted everyone around her with thousands of fans unaware of the chaos around them, and a few of our own made their way to the stage where they were taken into the Void.

Where's Joker? [She rushes over to take the things out of Tyki's hands, there's more important things going on right now than the terrible state of her bed.] Where's Tamaki? Did they get takin' inta this Void?
no subject
There's a gentle and warm smile on his hand as he moves his hands outwards to grip her arms gently.] Easy now. Easy. Joker's fine. So is Tamaki. They were the first of many I looked for.
The best you can do for everyone right now is to eat right, get some rest, and stay calm.
no subject
Thank goodness. Thank you f'r lookin' out, if anythin' happened... t'them I'd... [She grips Tyki's arms a little harder to keep from falling over. That scare was no joke, and now that the adrenaline is leaving her standing is a trial.]
S'hard bein' laid up here.

I'd do a lot worse to whoever managed to kill Joker and no one wants my wrath. [He wants to reassure her that he'll bring Joker back to her but Joker was a wild one and he couldn't always keep tabs on him unless he had him stalked 24/7. That just wasn't a possibility.]
I know but all this mess will be over soon.

boyfriend to the rescue(?) (day 11)
After he's done, he heads for the dressing area, and after announcing his presence in case any other girls are around, he comes in, expecting to find Doll. But she's not here, and he tries to ignore the worry that twists in his gut.
He's on his way outside, to go to her and Joker's trailer and see if she went back already, when he sees a dainty foot sticking out from behind a storage crate. He hurries over, eyes wide when he sees Doll on the ground.]
Doe-chan!?
[He kneels down in front of her, looking worried. She doesn't look well.] Are you okay?
BOYFRIEND TO THE RESCUE!
I feel right awful. I'm so cold... [She's actually burning up, and the cold night air isn't doing her any favors. Doll reaches up to take her headdress off, thinking maybe that would help her feel a little less light-headed, but even that is an effort.]
no subject
Ah, you're burning up... [He bites his lip, wishing his healing powers worked for illness, but they only work for wounds. If no one else in the Carnival can fix this with magic, they'll have to do this the old fashioned way.
First things first. He drops his hand again, moving to scoop her up.]
I'm gonna carry you. Okay?
no subject
Alrigh'. [She nods, trying to help him by feebly grasping at his shoulder. The air is cold, but Tamaki is at least comfortingly cool as he picks her up and Doll presses her cheek to his chest to try to regulate her temperature a little.]
Thought I felt... funny t'night...
no subject
[He says it reassuringly as he lifts her and pulls her close to his chest. The good thing about his own casual working out and his new height is that he carries her easily enough. He starts heading toward her and Joker's trailer, trying not to jostle her.]
I'll take you back. Then we'll see if anyone knows what to do.
[Because all he knows how to do when someone is sick is hover uselessly and do handstands to cheer them up.]
no subject
S' there a rush? [She's sick, she really can't be trusted to make good choices here, but Tamaki is close and caring for her, why spoil a good thing?]
no subject
He can't help but blush when she says that, thinking it over. The rational part of his brain thinks he should probably get an adult, preferably one with medical experience, to help him. The smitten part of his brain thinks he should just do what Doll is asking.
And that's the part that's stronger, honestly.]
Well... I guess not...

GO BACK TO BED
Goodness, you don't look well! Here, sit down!
[She offers up a chair... close to the entrance so any germs don't get too far. No offense.]
BUT FOOD........
Cheers... [Doll lands heavily in the chair and leans back, needing the rest after crossing the camp.] Is... c'n I get a cuppa tea, please?
no subject
[Speaking of WALKING ACROSS THE ENTIRE CARNIVAL]
You really don't look like you're in any shape to be out and about. I would've been happy to bring you anything you needed if you had used the radio.
no subject
Yeah, I coulda but... [Doll wrings her hands a little, looking guilty.] Joker woulda heard it too, then. N' I don' want 'im comin' runnin' at every little thing, yeah?
[She smiles sheepishly.] I don't imagine he'll be too happy if he finds out...
what's going on
He's bending down to pick up various sheets of paper, some notebooks, and a few colored pencils when Doll shuffles outside of the trailer. He recognizes her voice and looks up, frowning slightly when he notices her wrapped up in that blanket.
Hmm. She sounds awful. That's...not a good sigh. ]
Nothing to worry about, [ he flippantly responds. Strange is still looking at Doll though, with a hint of worry. And then, he just bluntly asks, ] Are you feeling alright?
no subject
[But Doll looks at all of the supplies on the ground, and despite looking like a stiff breeze could blow her over she comes down the steps of the trailer.]
Here, lemme help ya there...
[Touch all of the things, with all of the germs.]
no subject
I can pick them up myself. Look, have you been taking anything for that? [ He bluntly asks, giving Doll a worried look. It's an honest question, considering how everybody in the carnival has various levels of self-care knowledge. ]
no subject
[Doll pulls back, looking a little stung. She's already felt pretty useless, having people coming in and out to make sure she's eating and resting, this seemed like a pretty easy thing to do.]
Taking anything...? Like what?
no subject
You know, medicine from the medical tent, hot drinks, things like that. A glass of brandy does wonders for these sort of things.
[ You can take the man out of the 1810s but you can't take the 1810s out of the man, especially when it comes to medical problems. Doll's feeling under the weather? Booze. ]
no subject
[Doll perks up because that's the only thing she hasn't tried yet. It didn't sound like medicine would help, she's been drinking tea like she's trying to divest the carnival of it altogether, and she's been doing nothing but sleeping it seems.]
I haven' tried that...
no subject
[ Strange is very blase about this sort of thing. Forget about West or Okumura and all their weird pills, sometimes a good warm glass of brandy is all that's needed! ]
