What: After all the rescues team return, it will be matter of tending to the wounded and getting the hell out of dodge. The Ringmaster can handle the fleeing part, but someone will need to look after those in the medical tent. Or, maybe, you just want to show up and ask what the hell happened.
Warnings: Some messed up consequences of faerie fuckery.

IN REPAIR↴ As the minutes tick past, all four rescue groups will eventually return. Everyone in the carnival is encouraged to help out, ensuring that the rescues and victims both are taken care of after the fact. You can tag in here as rescuers taking care of business around the carnival, victims recovering, or other workers checking in to see what's going on. This log is for general aftermath threads, made by anyone.

Reira, go figure, absolutely adores Kage like this. She is, however, hoping to have her back to normal by the time they leave this place. The griffin-like state has been nothing short of inconvenient when it comes to wandering the Carnival itself, especially since the bird seems to periodically forget she isn't the size of a lemon.

As it is, Reira beams rather proudly at the compliment, nodding. "Mn- Y-Yeah..! I just took all of the stuff from the dessert spot in the cookhouse..." she admits, looking to the side. Her eyes move back to the Yuuya in a few short moments however, and soon fall upon the horn.

"Eh... ...What's that?"

Oh, well... that's fine, the stuff in the cookhouse is for everyone anyway.

"Oh, this?" Yuya holds the horn up before offering it to Reira's. "It's for calling for help if you need it. You just blow into the horn, and someone will be able to come... I'll, uh, have to get you the details from the Ringmaster."

Because hell if he knows how the help comes. "It was her gift to Yuzu, but... Yuzu's gone home for now, and she'll come back for her contract when things are less dangerous."

Anyway. Reira studies the horn with eyes of clear interest, and only breaks the gaze when Yuuya finishes. That was right...Yuzu had brought her a ring and her laptop, earlier before saying she was leaving- she hadn't tried to convince her otherwise, granted. Somehow it just seemed like Yuzu wasn't enjoying herself.

Her brother very quickly claimed the laptop, in any case, but- "Ah- So then, you're going to use the horn when you need help?" She pauses right after asking this, recalling how Yuuya had phrased that first bit.

It occurs to her now that he might not just be holding it out for display. "....You're giving this to me..?" she whispers, eyes wide.

By this point, at least, Yuya's settled a little more on Yuzu's leaving. It's ultimately for the best, because has Ignatius really chosen to take her--well, Yuya wouldn't be able to bear it.

Ha nods. "I'm sure you'll share it with Reiji, but this way you have help if you're lost or in trouble."

He keeps the horn out for her to take while quickly finishing off the cookie.

For a moment, it seems like Reira isn't entirely sure what to do with the thing. She takes the horn carefully in her hands, staring at it with wide and unblinking eyes. Eventually, after setting her cookies down and hanging the string over her shoulder however, she launches herself around Yuuya's middle to lock her arms there in a hug.

It's something to help her here, after all. And she can't sense any sort of feeling that makes it feel like he still wants her 'gone'.

"...thank you," she manages quietly, not letting go.

Yuya steps back once before he braces himself to her weight. He puts his arms around her in return, gently patting her shoulder.

"You're welcome. I want you to stay safe as long as you're here, okay? You and Reiji both."

More furious nodding is the answer to that, and Reira honestly finds herself beaming a bit proudly from there. "Mnh-! I'm going to keep making my shield work, so that it can do more too..!" she determines, before remembering where they are.

Yes, right, cookie deliveries... "Umnh...Did you have to get something fixed too?" she asks, looking Yuuya over. "...A lot of people were hurt coming back...not everyone was really hurt, but..." Well, there are definitely a few beds being taken right now...

"I'm fine!" When she pulls back, he makes a show of flexing one of his arms. "I didn't get hurt that badly, one of those healing draughts was enough to take care of it!" Along with pushing his shoulder back into place, but details.

"I'm more worried about everyone else in there... but I was really looking for you. You weren't where I'd normally find you, so I looked everywhere."

She isn't sure she'll ever get why flexing helps prove things, but she watches him do that anyway- at least until it hits her that he probably Injured that arm. Then she feels a bit silly for being confused, and nods. "Umn..."

She's about to agree about being worried about people in the med tent, when Yuuya finishes. "Ah- I've been helping Herbert from the radio," she notes, nodding seriously. "Most of the story, he was okay doing on his own... ...but I think someone cheering for him helped, because he seemed a lot better at it this time," she adds, smiling a little nervously.

"...Since he came back with everyone from that rescue though, I came back here with cookies for him... ...and then everyone else came back, so I thought, 'they might want cookies too'."

"You mean for one of the other rescues?" Cheering for him on the radio, huh... well, that's probably not a bad thing. So Yuya smiles and moves to ruffle her hair. "Good job! I bet they appreciate the cookies, too. Who were they saving...?"

He's a little hopeful it was Strange, because he's still worried about what's happening to him. They didn't see him on their way to Steven.

"Yeah, he went to find the water lady," she explains somewhat vaguely, unfortunately confirming it wasn't Strange at all. "...They got here, um.... ...probably before you did?" she adds, ducking slightly when her hair is ruffled. "....It was with a big wave of water, and it went right past me..."

Ah, well. Those who are saving Strange must have already left, so he'll just have to trust them. He wishes he could help.

"That's good. As soon as everyone's safe we can get out of here." And... go after the next miracle but Yuya's going to try and not think about that because he doesn't want to.

"That's probably what's going to happen," Reira notes, almost matter-of-factly. "....Will we go back to the Summerlands? ...Or just float somewhere and see the moon?" There is a pause, as she adds- "Everyone said we were in the Summerlands because something bad happened...and we went to the moon because something bad happened, so..."

Yuya hums, contemplating for a moment before shrugging. "I don't know. The Summerlands must be pretty safe from the other Fae, because she's gone there a few times. I'd like to go back."

Maybe give them a proper performance this time, given he was weak from having his soul stabbed the time before. "The Ringmaster doesn't mean for people to get hurt, so... I'm sure she'll find some way we can recover."

"Yeah..." She definitely agrees, and more importantly with a frown adds- "...It's too soon to go somewhere for presents too. So it can't be the moon. ...that wouldn't be very fair."

Who knows why fairness is coming into play here, but.

Yuya looks openly confused when Reira comments on fairness... but he doesn't ask. It's probably just seven year old logic. "Mm. Well, I won't distract you from helping any more. I just wanted to give that to you."

He pats her shoulder again before drawing his hands back with a grin. "You've done a great job during all this, I'm proud of you."

Well, if her ego swells any more, she might just start floating- she manages to somehow contain herself however, nodding furiously as she adjusts her hold on the bundle of pastries and things.

"UMN... Th-thank you..!" And...

She pauses. "...Umnhh... ...Yuuya?" she starts, scuffing the ground a bit. ".....is there...a word that's 'like' niisama, but... ...not as big?"

"Hm?" Yuya raises an eyebrow, then looks up and taps his chin. "Well, I think most people would just call their older brother 'niisan'. And the kids at You Show call me 'Yuya niichan'." They're not related, but it's the same kind of idea.

"Sama is kind of special." He knows she thinks highly of Reiji. It's not that she wants to call him something less honorable, is it?

[soft_focus]

"Hmnnn...." She nods to herself, quietly. She appears to be giving it a fair bit of thought, in any case- one thought being 'chan doesn't sound right', but that's hardly the point.

Before he knows it, he's getting another hug- a little clumsier given the pastries, but-

"...I'll see you later then, Yuuya-niisan."

And from there, she releases the hug, heading to go inside the tent.

Yuya blinks down at her, bewildered at first. But then he smiles softly and returns the hug, briefly, before releasing her back to her duties. "Yeah. See you later, Reira."

He'll turn to go the opposite way, his business at the medical tent finished for now.
