⇨ THE EPILOGUE

Who: Everyone!
When: Day 61
Where: The Carnival
What: After all the rescues team return, it will be matter of tending to the wounded and getting the hell out of dodge. The Ringmaster can handle the fleeing part, but someone will need to look after those in the medical tent. Or, maybe, you just want to show up and ask what the hell happened.
Warnings: Some messed up consequences of faerie fuckery.

IN REPAIR

As the minutes tick past, all four rescue groups will eventually return. Everyone in the carnival is encouraged to help out, ensuring that the rescues and victims both are taken care of after the fact. You can tag in here as rescuers taking care of business around the carnival, victims recovering, or other workers checking in to see what's going on. This log is for general aftermath threads, made by anyone.
dontpokethat: boys will be trash (you know the old saying)

Ginko supposes the immediate consequences of this whole mess haven't been as bad as some that the Carnival has had to pull through, but boy this is still sounding pretty damn bad.

He's around the medical tent a lot, whether helping or just hovering anxiously in the hopes that he might be able to help, but it's not until Steven has had some time to recover that he actually approaches him, carrying Miu in the crook of one arm. "Hey. How're you doing?"

Steven's had a few visitors at this point, as well as several hours to rest. He still feels really foggy brained every time he has to tune into a conversation, but he appreciates the company. With so many people around, it's easier to feel less scared.

This particular scene can't help but feel familiar. Fresh out of the Rose Queen's gardens, and... Ginko is here.

"Ginko," he says, in the tone of being pleasantly surprised. He turns over so that he can face him. "I'm... it's getting better. I think."
dontpokethat: it could have been some other times also. who cares (it was the best of times)

He supposes it has been a while since they've talked - but if there was going to be a time for it, this would be it.

Ginko pulls over a stool so he can sit down, setting his Pokemon on his lap. She shuffles forward a little, leaning toward Steven to examine him more closely. "Glad to hear it. I take it you've been resting - have you managed to eat anything since getting back?"
starseedling: (eating a single dorito)

Steven reached out his hand to the Pokemon, and then pulls back uncertainly. He keeps feeling afraid of hurting people by touching them.

"I little, but... I haven't really tried that much. Even though I don't think I've eaten since... before everything happened. I'm not really hungry."

It's weird to think it's because he was probably eating through roots.
dontpokethat: goodbye forever (ive already forgotten what you said)

That doesn't seem to bother Miu any; she'll just scoot further forward herself, pressing her head into his palm.

"Well, as long as you keep trying every so often." He doubts it will do any good to push Steven to eat if he doesn't feel like it.

Ginko goes quiet for a moment, studying Steven's fingers. "...Your hands feel alright?
starseedling: (feeling like tumblr is shouting at you)

Steven tentatively gives Miu a pet, frowning a little as he does. It's hard to describe.

"They don't... hurt, or anything," he starts. "But... they feel really weird. Like... they're fake or not mine, or something?" Maybe it's just because they're such a different texture. It's hard to say. "They're really heavy."

Mostly due to the fact they are made of pure rock.
dontpokethat: because i have something to prove (no i didnt drop all this on the floor)

"Mm. They look like it." Really, though, the weight is the least worrying part of that description. Changes brought on by the Carnival are always a little weird to get used to, and sometimes they have felt a little bit... disconnected. But it doesn't sound like that's the feeling Steven is describing, not really.

He supposes that's not really a surprise, given how these particular changes took hold.

"How much can you move them?"
