⇨ THE EPILOGUE

Who: Everyone!
When: Day 61
Where: The Carnival
What: After all the rescues team return, it will be matter of tending to the wounded and getting the hell out of dodge. The Ringmaster can handle the fleeing part, but someone will need to look after those in the medical tent. Or, maybe, you just want to show up and ask what the hell happened.
Warnings: Some messed up consequences of faerie fuckery.

IN REPAIR

As the minutes tick past, all four rescue groups will eventually return. Everyone in the carnival is encouraged to help out, ensuring that the rescues and victims both are taken care of after the fact. You can tag in here as rescuers taking care of business around the carnival, victims recovering, or other workers checking in to see what's going on. This log is for general aftermath threads, made by anyone.

Somehow, the fact that she can't tell if the Ringmaster is moving her mouth at all doesn't really matter to Reira. A lot of hologram monsters didn't move their mouths, and plenty of Aliens didn't either, so it all makes sense in some round-about way.

What does not make sense is what the Ringmaster has answered with, and she screws up her face a little bit thinking that over. 'Matter of speaking' normally means that it's not quite right. Or at least, that's what it has felt like whenever anyone else has said it, or whenever it's been used in a book.

"....What would the other matter be?" she starts, but rather quickly adds something else when she belatedly realizes that doesn't make sense either. "Umn- ...Do you mean...they didn't mean to make you sick? Or..." she tries instead, looking the dragon over.

It's about then that she remembers what everyone on the radio seems to never shut up about. The first one is that the Ringmaster is a Dragon, and she's repeated that bit to others herself. It's a pretty cool fact after all. The...

Other bit... "...oh."

She pulls a face, mostly because she can't imagine what she's about to say would ever feel good at all and if she's right, then that definitely excuses squirming around in a lake. "...Everyone always made it sound like 'eating' dangerous things was a good thing," she notes quietly, grimace still on her face. Eating the Prince? Definitely Had to Happen, and everyone cheered. And apparently, she ate some other person? Either way it was apparently Really Great.

....This doesn't look great. At all. "....Does doing that hurt every time?"

She's glad that Reira figured that out on her own, because it means she doesn't have to explain it. Her feelings on this are all very awkward, and she is honestly too embarrassed to get into some of the specifics.

"No... usually, people are dead when I eat them."

Oh dear.

It doesn't take very long to sort that one out- if people are 'usually dead' then. "....They're trying to get out..!?" she squeaks, somewhat panicked. This is of course assuming the Ringmaster wanted to eat them in the first place. Holding something that wanted out, in would probably not be very easy either, and, well-

She chews her lip. This is becoming an unfortunate habit. "...Did you have to eat them because they can't go somewhere else..?" she asks. It isn't as though she realizes just what led up to it in the first place.

In a curious sense, she's not far from wrong- even if she herself was likening the matter to how she'd thought of putting bits of roses in the air.

"I'm not sure...?" she says. "It would seem that, awake or not, he is a hard pill to swallow."

She belches steam into the water indicatively.

"...But the alternatives were too dangerous. We're both fire elementals, so I suspected I could keep him under control."

Well. That's kind of weird. "...oh...." Sleep fighting. Okay.

She is admittedly a bit curious- and perhaps, trying not to think about the fact that the Ringmaster is currently digesting another faerie alive. Maybe talking can take her mind off any of the hurting parts without causing ruckus there at least. "...I guess you can't put them in something like where the Rose is, if it's too dangerous," she mutters, mostly to herself. After all, the Ringmaster obviously knows that, it's why she said it was too dangerous.

"Does the water help?" she asks- wonders, really. "....would anything help..?" she adds a little more quietly, perhaps hoping that there could be some impossible chance that little things like tea or company or similar would make this any easier.

"The water helps disperse the excess heat energy, yes," she says, only half able to pay attention. "I may have plenty of fire in me, but I have a water aspect as well. He does not."

"I don't know anything else to do. I've never done this before."

Whether Reira realizes that the dragon's attention is fading or not, she goes quiet for a few moments to ponder the information. Important Point 1 - The lake is Definitely Helping, so that's good.

Important Fact 2....This is BRAND NEW. Which doesn't really help much in terms of Ideas to Help.

She decides to default to her Stomache Ache methods. That has to mean something here, she hopes. "...When I was sick, from the poisoned food," she starts, "...Everyone said to sleep. ...but you probably can't sleep... ...but..." Slowly, her eyes start moving...up. A bit. "They also said to eat different things..."

"...What if you ate something cold? ...Really cold," she adds. "...not the rose pieces though," Reira decides to note. She'd hope that was obvious, but she feels like she should mention it anyway. The rose was supposed to do the Frost and Flame stuff after all, so she doesn't want to have the Ringmaster assume she meant that. "...You already said those don't burn, ever..."
