What: After all the rescues team return, it will be matter of tending to the wounded and getting the hell out of dodge. The Ringmaster can handle the fleeing part, but someone will need to look after those in the medical tent. Or, maybe, you just want to show up and ask what the hell happened.
Warnings: Some messed up consequences of faerie fuckery.

IN REPAIR↴ As the minutes tick past, all four rescue groups will eventually return. Everyone in the carnival is encouraged to help out, ensuring that the rescues and victims both are taken care of after the fact. You can tag in here as rescuers taking care of business around the carnival, victims recovering, or other workers checking in to see what's going on. This log is for general aftermath threads, made by anyone.

"No. No she's not." Lapis puts her head into her hand. "Try being stuck to her for six months straight with no one else around."

"You don't seem like you'd put up with that." Well, she doesn't. "Lose a bet?"

[mirrortide]

"Stars no." Lapis waves her hand. "I bound her to me in a fusion and stuck us both at the bottom of the ocean." She says it like it's not any big deal, when, in fact, it's a huge deal.

[whattaprick]

"... Why?" It's not that he gets how big a deal it is or isn't... but he's curious.

[mirrortide]

"To protect Steven." Lambert doesn't get any more of an explanation.

[whattaprick]

"Fair enough." Lambert already knows she cares about Steven, like, a lot. No need to reiterate that.

Though after a moment of considering the topic longer, he has to venture:

"Did she kick ass?" No, he absolutely isn't providing any context for the question. Lapis will have to figure that one out herself.

"I'm going to assume you mean Malachite. In which case, yeah, I guess. We did crush the fae that had us captive for a bit." But, you know. Fae. They have issues with staying dead proper.

[whattaprick]

That gets her a raspy snicker.

"I meant Peridot." He draws out the name slow and careful. It has a suspiciously similar cadence to stuuupid.

Suddenly, Lambert gets beaned upside the head with a droplet of water. Where did that come from?

"I don't know. I guess? We sort of ended up eating her at one point."

Plip, and Lambert looks more disoriented than ever. Is the medtent leaking sideways? Also, that sounds weird. He considers that mental image and can't even figure it out.

"Knew you wanted her in you."

Plip, Lmabert is beaned with yet another droplet of water. It's only thanks! To Portland, that Lapis understands the connotations behind what Lambert is saying.

"First of all, we're not like that. Second of all, she's in a relationship with Amethyst. We'd never get together anyway. Third of all, shut up." Who is she trying to convince here! Lambert, definitely!

Lambert's expression twitches at the next impact, but he's distracted by Lapis's words. There's a lot of confusion, at this point. A relationship with Amethyst? Why didn't he know that? But more importantly--

He waggles his brows at her. It looks painful. It also doesn't stop him from saying:

"Go show her you jiggle."

He gets a flat look at that.

"I really don't think she cares about yet another weird Fae change. Especially one that I'm going to be hiding as soon as I get some rest in." Because! Haha! Jokes on EVERYONE. Lapis is constantly grumpy because shes constantly tired from constantly shapeshifting!

[whattaprick]

"Why?" Lambert is just full of the insightful questions today, sorry Lapis.

At least he's marginally entertaining.

"Because like I said. It's another fae change in the place where everyone gets weird fae changes. No one really cares."

[whattaprick]

"She'll care because it's you."

Fuck if Lambert knows why, though.

[mirrortide]

"Yeah, I really doubt that. But thanks for the vote of... I don't even think it's confidence, honestly." Like, Lapis just really can't understand why he thinks that.

[whattaprick]

"You're so bad at this." Lambert sounds far too pleased about having found someone, in fact, worse at relationships than he is.

"I literally have no idea what you're talking about this time."

[whattaprick]

Lambert just turn away and laughs, hak hak hak, instead of actually providing an answer to that. Maybe he doesn't exactly have one. Either way, that seems to be the limit of his energy for now -- with nothing more to say, he falls fast asleep quickly.
