⇨ THE EPILOGUE
Who: Everyone!
When: Day 61
Where: The Carnival
What: After all the rescues team return, it will be matter of tending to the wounded and getting the hell out of dodge. The Ringmaster can handle the fleeing part, but someone will need to look after those in the medical tent. Or, maybe, you just want to show up and ask what the hell happened.
Warnings: Some messed up consequences of faerie fuckery.

IN REPAIR↴![]() As the minutes tick past, all four rescue groups will eventually return. Everyone in the carnival is encouraged to help out, ensuring that the rescues and victims both are taken care of after the fact. You can tag in here as rescuers taking care of business around the carnival, victims recovering, or other workers checking in to see what's going on. This log is for general aftermath threads, made by anyone. |

"I didn't mean to upset you."
no subject
"You didn't, really... I just want you to feel better. I want to do everything I can to do it."
no subject
He knows it too.
"... Can we go outside?"
no subject
"Yeah, if you want to." He thinks he's done crying for now, so it should be okay.

Lauren nods, suddenly feeling a bit more energetic than before. He stands from the bed, and then heads for the door, opening it to move outside. He smiles, stepping aside to make room for Susan, before letting his toe roots bury into the ground.

He smiles wider, looking to Susan as he joins him outside. It feels good to be out here. No, not just good, right.
"Hey."

"Hey."

He hesitates for a second, but then figuring Susan just said he wanted to be helpful asks, "Would you mind getting me some water?"

He takes the cup, gladly taking a long sip, before promptly pouring the rest on the ground.

"...Didn't you want it?"
no subject
"Of course." he answers, looking confused. "Why wouldn't I?"
no subject
"I mean. Didn't you want to... Drink it?"
no subject
"I did drink it." he says, starting to look uncomfortable. It's only just now hitting him that what he just did must have looked pretty odd.
"...It makes the dirt feel better."
no subject
"You're so weird."
no subject
He wilts, shoulders slumping as he turns away from his brother.
no subject
"I was only teasing."
no subject
"But you really think that."

He frowns, slumping back to rest his weight against their trailer.
"Yeah." he finally says looking glum.
no subject
"But it's okay. You're always weird!"
no subject
His back slides down the trailer until he's sitting in the dirt, knees bent in front of him. He was always weird, but not this weird. At least before he still felt like a person, now he wasn't sure what he was.
