What: While the Ringmaster attempts to purge the carnival of magical tracing spells and deal with the angry fire fae in her belly, everyone else is getting sent on an emergency camping trip with some unusual local fauna.
Warnings: Camping.

CRYPTIC CAMPGROUNDS↴ You're given about three hours to prepare, after the Ringmaster tells you her plans for the coming week. There is a vast selection of camping equipment at your disposal, and the means to take along enough food for the length of the stay. The wilderness of the planet you're left on is nearly idyllic, but some people just don't like the great outdoors. ► CRYPTOZOOLOGY: As it turns out, the carnival won't be alone here. There is a varied ecosystem of cryptids to be found as well, living in relative peace and mostly reacting to the newcomers with curiousity. More details can be found on the plotting post. You are free to NPC the cryptids as much as you need to, as long as you stick to the behaviours described. ► DREAMSHARING: There is a player plot going on which will allow characters to share dreams! These are specifically more dreams than nightmares, and the mushi-adept characters will be here to help. ► CHILLAX: There isn't any plot twist for this setting, so this is mostly an opportunity to decompress from the last plot and get ready for the future. The Ringmaster will show up occasionally to help with needed medical treatments and check on things, but won't stick around for long.

"If I drink the whole thing, then I wouldn't get to pour you a glass myself, y'know." No, tonight Shura wouldn't be her lazy lush self. Too many people here who might get huffy over seeing her like that. She watches as he pours the wine, wiggling just a little closer to him in anticipation of her next drink.

"Don't know where we're goin' next, but I'll try to see if I can't get them to look for some shochu. I'm sure they wouldn't deny my request since I've been behavin', right?"

"Ah, a traditionalist," he says with some appreciation to that. "I do like getting the special treatment." Plus it said a lot about her character when she liked hanging out with someone. It's a genuine way of showing respect in his world and likely in hers. He allows her as close as she wants to be and offers the glass to her to take.

"Shochu?" he asks. He's trying to remember exactly what that is. He spent a lot of time in Edo after all and around that area, "Just how exotic are you, beautiful?" He is part of Acquisitions and he could make that happen.

She's all too happy to accept the glass, though Shura won't take a drink quite yet. "Nya, the pleasure would be mine." There were very few men who Shura could say that about while being completely honest.

"You think I'm exotic, huh? Maybe you don't have a Japan back home ♥. It's all pretty normal to me. Some shochu with some juice mixed in--it goes down real easy after a hard day at work!" Sure, she's been trying to live a better life, but that doesn't mean she has to cut out all of her drinking. Just her weekday drinking.

"If you insist. If I indulge in a second glass, which I likely will, you can pour it then. For the pleasure, of course." Oi, Shura was really tempting with everything she had to offer. It's hard not to flirt, though he is riding those golden apple after effects and he's mellowed out enough not to let it go to his head.

"There aren't inquisitive and bright young women like you in my world. Far too wild and exotic to ever take home to a father." Not that he wouldn't mind. It would be a hard transition in his old aged and outdated world. "I have heard of it. I stayed in Edo for quite some time."

The pleasure was what this was all about, wasn't it? It suits Shura just fine.

"Edo? Ahh, we really are from different times~. It hasn't been called that in a long time. It's Tokyo now." Not that Shura's really a good choice to bring home to dad in the modern era, but that isn't the point. "But that's good, that's good~! You've had sake then, at least. That's not so bad, but shochu is better."

With Tyki, it was always about the pleasure from mild to extreme.

"188x to be exact," he comments with some thought to it. He's told a few people but he's aware of the lack of information people share. "Where ladies would never wear what you do, never speak so openly, where gentleman are always in tail coats and cloaks, bowing at every royal hand beckons them to. Parties for politics, balls for ceremonies. When I go home I think I'll miss how open everything is." He takes a sip of his wine now that his fingers re-cork it with his power.

"188x?" Shura purses her lips, doing a bit of math just for a second, "Aah, so I have a few years on ya~" Over a century, but she's not going into that. "But nya, things aren't so different. Maybe not so many balls, but ya still gotta party and brown nose with your bosses 'n all that." Shura takes a drink, trying not to let the memory of some of the dinners she's had to attend ruin to wine she's taking a sip now that he's taken a drink of his own.

"But that's just workin' with people, y'know? In a way, this place ain't so different from home."

"And yet you look just as young as ever," he teases knowing she didn't mean it as in she was decades older than him. Only time frame wise. He just can't help himself around her. He laughs softly between such gentlemanly sips of his wine. "I guess on the other hand things don't change at all."

He nods, "Yes, I myself understand working with people. I am the public face of my family. What I do often reflects on them both for their livelihood and popularity. It's different for me but not too different. Here, I don't have any hard expectations or obligations."

'As young as ever.' Shura doesn't flinch, though it comes close to hitting a sore spot. She knows there's no possible way for Tyki to know about her past, so there's no need to react to that. Besides, she was free from that particular burden.

"The public face? Aah~, maybe I should ask you for some tips on that. My boos back home's tryin' to force me into that role." Beautiful Boobalicious Exorcist her ass, Mephisto had more up his sleeve than that.

He's always reading body language but if she hides it well, he'll say nothing. Unlike others who meant to offend with words he only sought to flatter with her being so youthful despite how different in time it was between them.

"Well, you are easy on the eyes. That usually helps gain attention. I'm not above using my looks but then I am equally as charming as well. Flattering, invigoratingly kind. Sweet even. It's just a matter of crowd you are entertaining." He raises a brow as if silently questioning, "Your boss rough on you?"

"Nyaha, bein' nice to look at is what got me into this mess!" Damn internet fame. She never asked for this. This wasn't a demotion, this was... just rude.

"Guess that means I need to work on my flatterin', then. Aah, I was never much one for fawnin', but it isn't like I've never done it before." Mostly to get someone out of trouble. So now she would be responsible for getting the entire Order out of trouble instead of a teenage boy? Jeez. "Mm, but don't bring that guy up. I wanna keep things light! That man's a demon, I haven't missed him one bit since I got here!"

"Not a people person?" he says with some discretion that most in carnival just aren't. He takes another sip of his wine to mull over the taste. It's not the best nor good enough to be of quality from home but it is still good wine.

"Maybe you'll find the type of crowd that enjoys a little fight. I'm just use to Lords and Ladies of the Court. They are mostly all raised with the same mannerisms. It's easy enough." He'll take note of that no talking about the boss clause and leave it at that, for now.

Decent wine suits Shura more than something fine. Anything too high class and she'd start to feel out of place. "I'm more useful in the field. Dunno why that guy thinks I'll be good with crowds." Besides the attention she'll get from her rack, of course.

"I've only done it for a day, and I can't imagine how you manage to put up with it if you're in a court. At least I can put doin' that kind of work off for a bit here. Ain't a vacation, but it could be worse, I guess."

"So you keep mentioning. Even when we first met you mentioned how useful you are in the field. I've yet to see it." Not that he wants to mix business with pleasure right now.

"I do it because it is for my family. If that is any motivation at all. Without me doing my part my family could lose their reputation and thus any generous contributions or appraisal from anyone wishing to invite us into agreements, trades, and status. Otherwise I wouldn't bother either."

"Nyaha, are you sayin' you wanna spar with me some time? Maybe later, maybe later~" In some ways, the carnival was a little boring for her. She was used to constant action and confrontation. Patrol had its busy moments, but it was by and large dull.

"But your family--well, I guess that would be reason enough. They must be pretty big to have someone dedicated to holdin' up their reputation."

"Hmm, depends. Do I have to go easy on you because you're a woman?" His words have no bite, no tease, and not flaunting of being a man. It's a legitimate question. Technically he has to go easy on everyone given his power and his akin to cheat. A spar he might keep to his footwork and hand to hand.

"We influence quite a lot in Edo and other places we tend to travel to. Parties do get tiring after a while given I'm wanted just about everywhere." Sometimes his head goes on the market for a bounty. They only use that to breed war and strife, causing death and thus more Akuma.

They can both be casually confident. "Only if you wanna lose ♥ ." Easy wins had their place and time; this wasn't it. Of course, if she knew the full extent of Tyki's powers, she might not be saying it so easily, but it's been a minute since she was really challenged.

So just what was his family involved in that they needed an influencer. Business? Nobility? Either way, his impeccable manners didn't seem to be just a matter of being inherently chivalrous. "Aah, I see~ It's good to get a drink somewhere nice and quiet like this after getting to so many parties, right?"

"I'll try not to win too quickly then in that case," he bolsters his own ego in saying. Just look at the way he leans back on the branch without actually tipping over. He takes a delicate sip of his wine and grins around the glass. He could go with a better challenge given he's never truly allowed to unleash, not even around fae.

"I've always preferred face to face contact over a bountiful crowd. So yes, a nice and quiet drink between two is always welcomed."

"My~ It almost sounds like I have no chance!" But there's no denying it, he looks good like that, all cool and confident. It's probably for the best that their connection would be temporary, otherwise he might cause some trouble for Shura. Her gaze lingers on him, trying to figure out just how he was managing to balance his weight on the branch like that. Or maybe she's just really enjoying the wine? Well, she'll probably need to get the bottle in a moment to fill his glass.

"If that's the kind of thing you like, then maybe we should make a wager on our little spar. Whoever loses has to treat the winner to somethin' special. 'Course, ain't much that's nice out here, but whenever we get the chance."

His long tail sways behind him now that he's in a content mood and he's lowered his guard considerably. His poker face also included his ears and his tail. In a tense moment, Shura might notice how they never move. Yet, there were always tells here and there. His left ear often flicked when annoyed. He doesn't really mind being eyed over and he's stretched out as if wanting to be.

"Something special, hmm? That might be an awfully long wait given what we're bound to get into next. But alright."

"That just means there's plenty of time for the loser to make plans~. Don't worry, I'm easy, it doesn't take much to please me." She offers him a wink before she takes a drink from her glass. It'll be a breezy match, one that will hopefully give her enough of a challenge to keep her mind and her Fang sharp. It's hard not to follow him and relax herself, the light buzz sinking into her muscles and making her limbs feels just a little bit heavy. What was going to bother them when they were off the ground? This was probably one of the safer spots to be in so long as the mothmen didn't get too curious.

"Heh, this goes down real easy, doesn't it? I don't usually drink wine, but somethin' like this is a nice treat in the wilderness. Somethin' high class to make up for sleepin' in a tent, yeah?"

"You have a point, beautiful. I'm easy to please as well. It'll work out for either of us," he respond with the same vigor as usual. He lets his eyes roam over her to her glass and then back up at her face again. It's rude to stare at that impressive rack of hers by Victorian means but right now wasn't time for that. It was the company that was pleasing him more at the moment. The only real threat was the carnival members themselves right now and anyone that bothered him right now would get retaliation in spades.

"It's one of my better wines given the quality is harder to find in most places. This one is from Wismuth. It actually had a shop dedicated to wine."
