CRYPTIC CAMPGROUNDS↴![]() You're given about three hours to prepare, after the Ringmaster tells you her plans for the coming week. There is a vast selection of camping equipment at your disposal, and the means to take along enough food for the length of the stay. The wilderness of the planet you're left on is nearly idyllic, but some people just don't like the great outdoors. ► CRYPTOZOOLOGY: As it turns out, the carnival won't be alone here. There is a varied ecosystem of cryptids to be found as well, living in relative peace and mostly reacting to the newcomers with curiousity. More details can be found on the plotting post. You are free to NPC the cryptids as much as you need to, as long as you stick to the behaviours described. ► DREAMSHARING: There is a player plot going on which will allow characters to share dreams! These are specifically more dreams than nightmares, and the mushi-adept characters will be here to help. ► CHILLAX: There isn't any plot twist for this setting, so this is mostly an opportunity to decompress from the last plot and get ready for the future. The Ringmaster will show up occasionally to help with needed medical treatments and check on things, but won't stick around for long. |

[After that he's quiet enough to follow behind Rhys at a reasonable distance not to be a complete creep. He's at least reaching distance if anything enough to snatch in case there was something hostile in these woods. Otherwise, his attitude comes off rather casual. He's waiting to be impressed by such a lanky man.]

rhys just sighs, stomps out into the woods like maybe his footfalls would scatter anything nearby and make it impossible to hunt. he knows he's said he could do this but does he actually wanna do this?
no.
under his breath, he starts saying: )
Here harmless, here here here. Come here and let me kill you.
no subject
Is that how you hunt? [He might not be using his nicknames like he said he wouldn't for a week but he didn't mind picking.]
no subject
( AND? )
I'm unique.
( verily. )

[He half mocks and mimics at the same time. Up ahead something movies into the bushes, rather fast and agile with tiny hops of its feet. Whether Rhys caught it or not he'll gesture in that direction. Sorry, Rhys. Looks like something is active right now.]
no subject
( rhys grumbles the words as he turns back towards the the sound. his echo eye catches the movement and he tries to track it. he has no idea what it is but he still creeps off after it, trying to both not make too much noise and to not get too dirty. )
no subject
[Yet, Tyki does back off a little and allows the boy to get a decent lead on him. A man does need space to performance, as he's found from experience, and he is curious how high his livability is.]
no subject
You have that kind of power? No, you don't.
no subject
[And Tyki was well trusted despite past altercations.] Eyes on the prize, Mister Rhys.
no subject
grumbling, rhys turns back around and when he spots an animal in the brush, he runs after it, trying not to startle it too thoroughly before he can get there and stun it.
the animal runs before he can get all the way there and rhys curses when he has to give chase. )
no subject
Instead he's keeping to the trees, following along silently in his sleek black cat transformation. He can play along with Rhys' whims for now. At least Rhys seemed to be able to run and run well.]
no subject
when he notices the animal dart to the side, rhys changes his direction, nearly losing his shoes as he does. the animal is just up ahead and if rhys can just get a good push he might be able to jump at it and catch.
so, he tries and amazingly enough, he lands on top of whatever this animal is. before it can escape, he uses his arm to stun it still. )
no subject
[He patiently reminds Rhys as he takes down that jackalope with relative ease and minor struggle. He's very keen in noting that Rhys stuns it instead of killing it. Tyki would've already snapped its neck but he puts that aside for now. He's mostly amused at the fact he didn't impale himself on those antlers.
His voice mostly comes from the left but Rhys will have a hard time locating his exact position for right now. Still, he can be that annoying reminder.]
no subject
( rhys gets to his feet and dusts himself off, looking down at the animal. it was probably going to have to be killed and he knows he could do that with his arm but ugh. )
You want me to just leave it here?
no subject
[His eerie chuckle vibrates off the trees in every direction mostly because he's on the move.] I can take care of it if you can't.
no subject
Fine, you kill it. I have to go find...another animal.
( he was making no comment on ramping up the creepiness. that would just encourage him. )
no subject
[But he lets Rhys go as he pounces on the stunned rabbit from the bushes as a cat. He takes his time, aware that fear might creep unconsciously into its thoughts as he kills it.
It's only after that kill does he find Rhys all over again to see how he's doing for the rest of dinner.]
no subject
but no, he hears the footsteps like they're right behind him and curses inwardly. how does he do that? )
no subject
Get the second one yet?
no subject
( that meant no. but, he was tracking something. he had no idea what it was or if it was going to eat him or skewer him but he had a bead and he was going after it.
and after this, that was it. if he died, at least he'd go out on top. )
And be quiet!
no subject
His hands lift in quiet surrender, one clutching a dead jackalope, and he lets Rhys proceed inwards. Sure, sure. Go ahead, pup.]
no subject
he's kind of a pup. and he's even more of a pup when he takes off after the animal and his foot catches a raised root as he runs. he goes flying, screaming as he does and ending up in a heap of limbs and leaves.
the animal scatters.
crap. )
no subject
You can stop now. I'll catch my own dinner. I think that's enough for a show.
no subject
( plus, he was covered in dirt and leaves and he just hated everything. )
Where's the other thing I caught? I'm having it for dinner. And I'm not sharing.
no subject
But at least he manages to hold out the jackalope to him by its antlers, wiggling it a little with its neck snapped.] Here, here. This is yours.
