When: October 7st - 14th, 2017
Where: Portland area, in the new reality.
What: The week begins as the time of the Animal Fair finally arrives! Meanwhile, the truth of this reality starts to be revealed, and forces both human and celestial alike attempt to take advantage of a rare opportunity.

Tensions thicken as various supernaturally forces react to the events of the previous week. Something critical is afoot, and it's only a matter of time before things start coming to a head. It's time to find out more about what's happened to this world, and what will happen in its future.

► A NIGHT AT THE FAIR: From the night of the 7th to the morning of the 8th, the Animal Fair is officially in town. There is a top level down below with more information, though you can also RP content from this elsewhere if you wish. The host, who is very likely something called a Wyld Fae (if you discovered that ICly), will be present, but they will only be appearing to you of their own accord and attempting to track them down by force will be ineffective. Just kick back and relax! Fairs are supposed to be fun.

► THORNS IN YOUR SIDE: Culminating in a full fledged attack against the Sanctuary, it would seem that The Rose Queen is declaring war on the changeling population of Portland. Though the vicious attack of thorns against the safe house was eventually stopped, it wasn't without damage, and the black roses that caused it are still popping up around the city and threatening the places where homeless and lost changelings would be likely to congregate. It's obvious now that this is a serious threat - will it ever stop without an intervention?

► HELL ON EARTH: As Anath's march draws near, the first waves of her demons will be entering the city. Primarily acting as scouts and foot soldiers, these demons will be attempting to secure loyalty from the local demon populace, as well as taking out any angels they can manage to catch. It's a level of aggressiveness against heaven's forces that hasn't been seen for years, and it's a foreboding hint of things to come. These demons can be NPCed by anyone, and will mostly be thugs or manipulators who don't know much about Anath's plans but do know that you need to join their side. They are also rowdier than most of the demons in Portland, and are a threat to the innocent mortal populace as well, if they decide to try to get their kicks here.

► THE WIZARD POLICE: The Enlightenment Council seems to have demanded control of the local Circle chapter, and now backup has arrived. These mages are being sent out into the city as if they are a police force, and will be attempting to demand control of various common supernatural areas, as well as questioning community members that they run into. Whatever is going on, it seems to have resulted in the Council instituting what is essentially martial law... of course, not everyone sees any need to heed their demands. If you are a demon, warlock, or other rogue element, expect to be harassed or even attacked by them. These character can be NPCed, and if you need additional information you can ask the mods.

Sora doesn't hear the words directed at him, only blood pounding in his ears and the pressing thought to get away, get away, get away, and so keeps running until he feels a hand yank on his arm to pull him back. He yelps, and falls backwards with the sudden force of movement into the person that had grabbed him.

Blindly, he tries to push back against the person, trying to get away, and shaking like a leaf from fright.

"Gah-"

Tamaki wasn't expecting Sora to fall into him like that, and stumbles backwards, unaccustomed to Yuya's height and frame. Distracted by his effort to not fall on his butt, he almost lets Sora go.

But somehow he hangs on, feeling the way Sora is trembling under his hands. What is this? Some kind of panic attack?

"H-hey- it's okay, it's okay, just calm down."

Tamaki's never tried to sooth so much as an angry alley cat, but the tone comes to him more easily than expected, almost like he's done something like this before. Still, he's not sure it will be enough to calm a panicking college student.

Sora tries his best to yank back against the hand holding him, but their grip is strong, and his blind panic makes it difficult to think rationally enough to get out of it. He tries, one more time, to pull away, before resigning himself to his fate.

It's only here that he calms down enough to realize, no, he's not under attack. In fact, the person holding his arm is almost familiar, despite their face swimming in his vision, but the tomato-colored hair is unmistakable. They were talking in a soothing voice, and it calms Sora down just enough to be able to stand still and stop pulling, despite the mild anxiety still pulling at his brain.

He's still shaking, but at least he's looking at who he's pretty sure is Yuuya, and focusing enough to hear the words.

At least he isn't struggling now; that's something. Tamaki relaxes a little, not gripping Sora's arm so hard now.

"Nothing is trying to hurt you, so don't freak out, okay?"

He squints at Sora's eyes. They seem unfocused, but he doesn't think Sora took anything. At least, he hopes he didn't. Maybe it's just this weird Animal Fair. The other ghosts did say they saw a shadowy figure putting up the posters...

"Did you eat or drink anything?"

Sora runs his tongue over the new fangs (fangs!) in his mouth, and somehow they don't feel as out of place as they probably should. Yuuya's (?) words don't calm him as much as he probably would like, but at least he's listening.

Eat? Did he eat anything? He doesn't think so. He's pretty sure, anyway. He shakes his head rapidly at the question.

"Okay. Good..."

That answers that. Tamaki sighs a little, but it's not really out of relief. What is happening here?

It's about then that he notices the fangs and wonders what those are about. He's pretty sure Sora has never had any fangs before. Maybe he was bit by something weird?

"Um, you're gonna be okay," he repeats. "Is Joker here?"

It is the angel's job to take care of him, after all.

At 'Joker' he perks up. Is Joker here? That would be relieving. Joker would fix whatever was wrong. He still wasn't even sure what was wrong, but there was definitely something wrong wrong wrong.

"Joker?" he asks, perking up slightly and looking around.

"Um..." Shoot. He shouldn't have said anything. Where is that angel, anyway?

"I don't know where he is... B-but we can find him, okay? Just don't panic, alright?"

Pleading with someone who seems to have gone out of their mind is maybe not the best solution, but Tamaki doesn't have a lot of options.

Most of what Sora took from that statement was 'let's go find Joker', and honestly he is completely on board with that idea. He tugs at the hand still holding him in place, but this time it's out of eagerness to get going than out of fright. At least he seems to have calmed down?

"Let's go!" he says, pulling Yuuya/Tamaki in a random direction.

"A-ah!?" Tamaki makes a questioning noise, but does follow Sora, letting him lead him by the hand. He's not particularly interested in finding Joker himself, especially since he suspects he'll somehow be blamed for Sora's odd behavior, but he also doesn't feel right leaving Sora to wander alone.

He follows the other boy around the fair, but doesn't see Joker around, at least not at the moment. He doesn't say anything, though, not sure what Sora will do if they can't find him.

Sora weaves in and out of the crowds at the fair, less bothered by the noise now that he has a companion. Still, his mind has somehow regressed to more basic thoughts, and he's become somewhat more one-track than he would be normally. He still has thoughts of not good, something's wrong but they're penetrated by more pressing thoughts of where's Joker, I want Joker.

However, as time goes on without a sign of the angel, Sora falls further and further back into that state of panic that Tamaki/Yuuya found him in.
