What: After trying to kidnap a child, getting kidnapped himself, and having his face set on fire, Ginko has a lot of catching up to do.

Ginko has just started to look away, unsure if he should have said anything at all - then he feels Psi's hand on his shoulder, and looks back to him, blinking.

"...What?"

"I feel the same." For some reason it's hard to say aloud. His certainty from only moments before wanes. "I mean, you're blaming yourself for what happened."

That wasn't actually what he'd wanted to say, but at least it was actually related to what Ginko said. The demon thought it was true to. Ginko hadn't said he blamed himself yet, but for some reason Psi was certain that was the case.

"I was thinking I should have noticed something and blaming myself too."

His gaze drops to the ground, brow furrowing as he thinks that over. He wouldn't say he blames himself, exactly, but-- for all he knows, maybe if he said how he did feel about it, Psi would consider that to qualify as blaming himself.

Somehow, he feels like this has been an issue before. At what point is he really 'blaming himself'? Should he expect other people to look at it differently?

That's not the issue at the moment, though. He turns to face Psi and sets his hands on his shoulders in turn, looking him in the eye. "It wasn't your fault. I... I think that spell was meant to keep people from noticing - it's just lucky that Foster did."

He actually only looks more uncomfortable at seeing Ginko look him in the eye like that. He flushes, looking down. It was nice that Ginko was trying to reassure him, but to be honest he didn't feel too bad. He did feel bad, but it was just a temporary feeling, a reminder to do better in the future.

"That's... Sorry, that wasn't actually what I wanted to say." He takes in a breath before looking back to Ginko. As uncertain as he feels, this is definitely something he wants to say.

"Remember what you said before? That you thought you loved me? Well... I think I might feel that way too."

He swallows nervously, still not positive on all this, but forcing himself to move forward regardless.

"What I mean is, I think I love you... Is uh, is that okay?"

That... was not what he was expecting. At all.

In fact, for a few seconds, Ginko can't respond at all. He just stares up at Psi, wide-eyed. Then he breaks into a smile, nervous but genuine, like he can't imagine that he really just heard what he heard, but-- he really hopes he did.

"That's... that's more than okay."

He wants to be happy about this. He is, but what he said before when Ginko 'confessed' to him was still true. He was still a demon, he still really couldn't have a relationship, he could still really hurt Ginko. Despite that, he wanted to be with him, and Ginko wanted to be with him too. Maybe it was okay then that Ginko's smile made him feel lighter than air. He smiles back, nervous and genuine just the same as Ginko's, but he really is happy. He steps forward putting a hand to Ginko's cheek before leaning in for a kiss. It's not anything passionate, it's softer and shorter, but just as meaningful to him.

When he pulls back he looks pleased, but a bit timid as well. "You can call me Mituna. If you like."

It's not like Ginko has forgotten what Psi said back then. But... maybe this meant he had re-thought it. Maybe this will work, after all.

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking and no amount of loving each other can make this work. But he thinks he might be alright with wishful thinking, at least for the time being. So he leans gladly into the kiss, and doesn't mind in the slightest that it's brief.

It takes him a moment to process what the demon-- what Mituna says next. He may not know a whole lot about demons, but... he's pretty sure they don't usually just. Tell people their names.

"...Okay. Mituna." He smiles again, face reddening a little. The name feels strange and unfamiliar in his mouth, but-- it seems right.

It's kind of nice hearing Ginko say his name, and it's cute the way it seems to make him start blushing. At least the demon wasn't alone in finding this embarrassing, though maybe that wasn't something he needed to worry about from now on. He presses his forehead to Ginko's gently.

"I love you."

Ginko lets out a slow breath and closes his eyes, smiling. There's been a lot going on, and he doesn't even know how to begin dealing with it, but... at least there's this.

"I love you, too."
