What: After trying to kidnap a child, getting kidnapped himself, and having his face set on fire, Ginko has a lot of catching up to do.

"Not fungus, I'm assuming," Zecora said, gently layering on the second treated bandage. "I am not certain, but I think many creatures like demons or faeries could be that way."

"Maybe... still not quite right." The last part was just under his breath, not that that made a lot of difference in this close of quarters. But those things were... something else. Not like demons, or fae, or anything he's seen here.

"Then I can't say I have." No, it didn't make a difference. She heard him loud and clear. "Or if I have, I don't know. But I have no doubt they exist. I've seen too much to doubt anything."

"Guess so. Must be out there somewhere, right?"

They must be out there, he must have seen them somewhere... even if he can't remember exactly where.

"...I feel like I should know more about them than I do."

Or maybe he does know? He's not sure.

"Why do you feel that way?" Zecora asked, keeping her voice calm as she tied the gauze to hold the bandages in place. A strange feeling like that, a curious thought, took on a special amount of prominence in a person recently touched by fae magic.

"I... I don't know," he admitted, quietly. "It just feels... natural. I can't imagine not knowing what they are, but, at the same time, I... don't."

It was like forgetting a part of himself - and even that thought pinged something distantly painful in his chest.

"That is a little concerning to me," Zecora admitted, sitting back to look at him. "You have come under the influence of powerful and capricious magic, after all. This may be a lingering effect."

"I'd be more worried, too, but-- it's been happening since before all... all this." He gestured vaguely toward his eye. "Maybe it's still a fae thing, I don't know, but... it would have to have set in earlier."

"Hm. It is possible you were marked beforehand... but it is equally possible you have simply been affected by whatever has been going around lately." More and more, she wished she understood it.

"Going around? Has this been happening a lot?"

He wasn't sure if that was better or worse than if it was just some kind of fae affect. Probably better, though.

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

"There is an... hmm, an upswing in supernatural activity, of late. Nothing I could point my finger at directly, but given the patients and the complaints I've seen coming in, I think something is afoot."

"Huh..."

He knows it's not exactly his business (beyond the parts that actually concern him, anyway), but he can't help but wonder about it. It would make sense, given the sudden fae activity and everything.

"Does... this mean I should be expecting more to happen?"

[zebrarhyme_everytime]

"The chances of something unusual happening now are higher than in normal times," Zecora said, being careful to word her reply as cautiously as possible. "That is still not a terribly large chance, but given what has already happened, I would advise care."

That might actually have been more concerning than if she had just said that, yes, there was probably a lot of weird crap on its way. Ginko sighs, seeming to deflate a little. Just what he needs.

“Right. I’ll… I’ll keep an eye out.” Ha. “Should I let you know if I see or hear about anything else?”

"It isn't as if I can do anything about it," Zecora said bemusedly. "And the trouble I can do things about will find its way to my door one way or the other."
