What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind... ► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans. ► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do. ► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

Being a Star Guardian makes Lambert feels conspicuous as hell, even if he's realized by now that people forget him as soon as they see him when he's swanning around in all those goddamn sequins. The disadvantage of not being in Star Guardian form is the lack of convenient transportation, but his familiar trots close to his heels, and she's quick to nudge him in the direction of the disturbance at the shopping center. His pace only quickens when he senses it in the air, that unmistakable tang of Harbinger magic, something he's already grown used to sensing.

As cynical as Lambert is, it's not immediately clear to him when the thoughts he's lingering on aren't his own, but as he finds himself thinking about them more and more -- how unnaturally being a Star Guardian comes to him, how he's worried he's not going to be able to pull Childermass back, what a fucking mess this all is -- it weighs him down, making him feel helpless.

And feeling helpless makes him pissed off.

So when someone pops up without warning near him, taunting, his reaction is instantaneous: he whirls around to punch them, even before he recognizes who it is.

Well. Shima pretty much eats it. There's almost a flicker as Lambert whirls around, but when he gets a good look at the person he's punched, he'll just see Shima, a kid flat on his ass, hand pressed to his bruising jaw, and looking very wide-eyed and offended.

"What the hell, I was just asking if you were okay!"

Was that how it sounded? Maybe. For a second Lambert might not be sure.

Sorry not sorry. Lambert doesn't even look like the punch hurt, fist still clenched as he stands over Shima, breathing hard as he looks down at Shima. There's something wrong, he knows that much -- and behind his ankle, his familiar pokes out her tiny pony head to look directly at Shima, button-round eyes unblinking, a flicker of Creation's magic curling out from her.

"If you don't want to get hurt, don't sneak up on people," Lambert snarls. Under the glamour, a sharp puff of flame escapes, before he reels it back in. It's odd -- now that his attention's been drawn to it, it's easier for him to recognize the feelings aren't entirely his own, push them down and away where the anger is a controlled simmer of fury and purpose.

Shima's eyes go right to the critter on reflex, disgust coiling in his gut even though it's actually pretty cute. But he pushes himself up and focuses on Lambert, as long as he's not sure if the ruse of switching back to civies has worked or not. That defensive stance is gonna start looking pretty familiar if this is how he's greeted every time, though!

"Am I that sneaky? Maybe don't hit people just asking you a question..."

"Maybe you've just got a face that people like hitting." Still, before he'd realized who it was, Lambert thought he'd felt a tug of magic ... and even if Shima looks normal enough now, considering what he knows has happened to everyone else who

Well, no sense in beating around the bush, so he's going to just be blunt and direct as he can.

"So, did you end up buying into this ending the world crap too?"

"Uh, rude?! That's only a problem with you!" Well, and maybe Kin-nii. And ok the rest of his family. That's besides the point, he didn't do anything to deserve this! So maybe he wants to end the world a little but if it's gonna be like this it's totally justified!

"I'm not really seeing why I shouldn't at this point!"

Shima sure has an awful habit of being around people whose fists are magnetically attracted to his head...

Still, it hasn't actually come to an outright fight (yet) so at least Lambert isn't going to knock him around the head again, just raise his brows at him.

"You didn't seem like the type," he says idly, cocking his head. "Still, I guess it's one way of getting out of what your family wants you to do."

Actually wrinkles his nose at that, looking actively offended that Lambert made an accurate guess. It's too weird not being entirely in control of how much someone knows about him--or really, forgetting entirely what it was that made him say so much in the first place and now just getting nailed with it unexpectedly every time.

"Eugh, what kinda stuff was I even telling ya? I'm starting ta suspect we actually got along or something."

"I don't know about getting along, but we've got a few things in common." Lambert shrugs.

“Something about hot springs and being chased by giant bugs just really makes you open up.”
