What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind... ► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans. ► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do. ► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

[Yuya squares his shoulders and straightens his back, obviously trying to look at strong and stable as possible.] I'm fine! I can take care of myself. But Yuzu's already been... will go through so much. And if I can't be there all the time, you can make sure she doesn't get hurt, right?

[Isn't that the point of being a familiar or whatever? Staying close to the Guardian he bonds with? He could have easily helped in his own form, so if he's going to be of assistance mostly to one person... it should be Yuzu. Yuya's certain of that.] And she'll make sure you're not hurt, either, since you are really small right now. I can trust you two.

[He also has to cast a little doubt on Gon himself, in this state.]

Yuzu has-

[And...this is starting to get rather irritating.] Yuuya...to assume that Yuzu is any less capable of watching over herself, next to you... [The small thing bristles in Yuuya's grasp, and even growls.] Assistance is assistance-it was not my judgement of either of your skills. Yet you intend for me to believe that, simply because of what experience she has yet to have in this place, that she is weaker..!? [He questions, not catching Yuuya's meaning at all.]

I, the man Gongenzaka, am not a burden to be protected-but nor is she one who must absolutely be protected before she is allowed to protect herself..! Likewise, I, the man Gongenzaka, would have hoped you realized I thought the same to you, right now...

[But somehow he doesn't feel that was the impression here.]

[Yuya's frown just sinks deeper as he feels lectured, and he purses his lips tight to keep from cutting Gongenzaka off.]

I didn't call you a burden. [He tries not to, but his voice still wavers with sulking.] But I think, after everything, it's fair for me to be worried about you and Yuzu. I... I already almost lost you twice.

[He trails off, quiet. Just thinking about it makes him crumple a little.]

[betheman]

[He didn't say it, but he should realize what it feels like, when Yuuya's jumping directly into 'protect and get away'. Especially when he references his current state-his eyes narrowed, and the glow within them low.]

Worry may be fair, Yuuya, but what this sounds like is 'I can handle it, so let me'! Or perhaps, 'You won't have to be involved'!'

Yuuya... ...do you truly feel both of us so incapable of keeping ourselves safe? Perhaps for myself... ...that is justified. It is why, after we are finished here, I, the man Gongenzaka, will be speaking with the Ringmaster about a contract after all...But Yuzu?

[They've got Egg Day to cover things after this at least, but that isn't exactly something anyone has Now.]

It's not that. [His grip tightens slightly as he wants to pull his arms closer, but he stops short of squishing Gon.]

I know you and Yuzu are strong. [He considers them both stronger than him, but that won't help him make his argument.] But you're also both important to me, so of course I care about you being safe regardless! If I didn't make a contract, Yuzu would be--[He cuts off before he says it, but Gon can probably infer the meaning.]

[betheman]

Hrmmnnn.... [Ah-hold on, what on earth is that last bit.] Yuzu would..?

... [Perhaps not the place or time, he has a feeling Someone Is Listening. So.]

...Regardless of what would occur, Yuuya...you must realize what it seems like, when your immediate answer is to say 'no, go with her instead', and then speak of nothing but protecting and staying away from things..!! If that is truly how you feel, more importantly...

[He huffs, and puffs up, and-!] Then I, the man Gongenzaka, alongside Yuzu, shall follow you! And make certain that you as well are safe!!

[JUST YOU TRY AND DITCH THEM he still sounds like a squeak toy.]

[Yuya's not totally sure if Gongenzaka doesn't quite get the point, or if he's rejecting it. At least him looking like a toy dog is keeping Yuya from getting to crushed under his own emotions, even if he still doesn't look placated.]

But if we are separated, you can trust me to stand on my own. That's what I'm getting stronger for, right? [This is totally mutual trust because Yuya's not implying he's going to follow them like a lost puppy if Gon stays with Yuzu, right.]

[betheman]

That trust was already there, Yuuya. ...A desire to work with another, and help another, does not mean that trust is gone.

[Which implies, perhaps, that it was lost to an extent.] ...just as I, the man Gongenzaka, have this trust in Yuzu.

Rather frankly, given everything...Yuzu herself abandoning such a trust in you is perhaps the least of your worries now, on that note. [Is he implying eavesdroppers he's absolutely implying eavesdroppers. He probably trusts Yuuya as well of course-but somehow he's feeling a bit stubborn about acknowledging that for now.]

I was talking about you following me... [He pouts.] It's not that I don't want to work together. I do, and I want you there. [He smiles faintly.] Because we're friends, right? But I...

[His gaze drops, although Gon's position in his arms means he doesn't end up hiding his face very well. He knows exactly why he's anxious, he knows exactly what he's afraid of. But it keeps getting caught in his throat, behind a dam that keeps back a lot of emotion.]

[betheman]

.....

...Hhhnnnnn.... [Sadly that...just proves his thoughts, his theories... ...He drops it for now, simply frowning.] ....Yuuya...

[Change of subject. Rather, a focus on the Last One.] ...I, the man Gongenzaka...hope you realize why I noted what the least of your worries now were...

[That's probably a good time to poke in if you're going to, Yuzu.]

Alright, so when were you two going to speak about this to me?

[Yes, Yuzu heard things and she's annoyed that you two are holding things back and all that. Again.]

[Yuya's back stiffens and he pauses.

And then he leans around the corner to see her, huffing indignantly to displace the flustering panic that starts to rise.] I said I wanted to speak to him in private!

[Obviously the concern here is that this is rude.]

[betheman]

M...mnnhhh... [Yuzu. Yuzu please remember that he's so small he was literally snatched up, and carried away for this-

This isn't his fault at all..!] Indeed...however, you then proceeded to delve into matters that decidedly concern Yuzu herself, Yuuya.... [Don't try to dodge that bullet buddy.]

Exactly! If it wasn't about me, I wouldn't of spoken up!

[And you're getting a facefull of fan, Yuya.]

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya makes a valiant attempt to dodge, squishing Gon in his arms as he ducks down and weaves around Yuzu--although it doesn't save his head from getting slapped.] Obviously I'd tell you after I talked to Gongenzaka!

[He just had to do some convincing first!]

[betheman]

[There is a loud, and adorable, squeak, when he is squished. Anyway.] MNH-

R-Realistically, Yuuya, given that it concerned Yuzu so heavily, she should have been involved regardless..!!

Exactly! Jeez, I thought we were going to stop all of this!

[Yuya hops around her, looking sheepish. They're in weird territory with what Yuzu does and doesn't know, and he's not sure if she wants to hear 'you almost died' as the crux of his worry.

So he holds Gongenzaka out to her, arms outstretched.] Are you taking him?

[When you have no defense, deflect.]

[betheman]

[Excuse the squeak as he's shoved outward-] AUH-!

[YUUYA NO HE IS NOT A CONVERSATIONAL SHIELD STOP THIS]

[fusionactuallysuitsher]

[Automatically, Yuzu's hands take Gon, blinking in total and complete confusions]

Wait, wha...?! Yuya, I'm trying to be serious here!

[hippocarnival]

So am I. [With his hands free his shoulders drop.] I know you're both strong, but can you be there for each other for me?

[It's a selfish request, but he doesn't feel regret for it. The grief of nearly losing them is more than his shame.] In case we can't stay with each other.

[betheman]

[Gongenzaka for his part, says nothing now. He's simply frowning with a face that takes far too much from the serious nature of his mood, adjusting for grip somewhat as he's passed onto Yuzu-dangling in her arms like a large stuffed toy.

He could repeat himself and insist that Yuuya would be alone if that were the case. But he has said it enough times, and so he merely continues frowning.

He can tell this won't go anywhere.]
